“Popped in the first time last week, then again this week. Their food especially chips (not fries) are massive and crispy and lovely MUCH better than chip shop ones.. imagine chip shop sized but French crisp fried! All food is clean and hot! (not greasy) properly cooked and delicious. And a breakfast for 5.50 is amazing! My new hangout!”

Very generous portion sizes which are a bonus when the quality of the food is this good. “Aldi Eccles is my local branch when I'm at work. Staff are friendly and the store is always clean. Please can I give a special mention to everyone working today 22.09.25. I lost a very special necklace that was given to me after my mum passed away in 2023. Panicking, as I do, I approached the gentleman on the self serve checkout about 11am and asked if it had been handed in. He reassured me in a calm manner that they may have it. Without giving me any details he enquired with someone in the office who asked me questions about my necklace to make sure it was mine. I was then reunited with my very special necklace. Not only did the team members deliver excellent customer service, they also managed to calm and reassure me. This is why Aldi is my go-to store. I cannot thank Eccles Aldi enough.”

“Had an amazing dinner; the fish tacos, and halloumi and broccoli dish were our favourites. Enjoyed the wine and we shared the basque cheesecake to finish. Food was sensational and all the staff really friendly and we didn't feel rushed considering it was a Friday evening.”

“Brilliant shop, but it went downhill for a time. The freezers were empty, so I stopped using it, I started going to Urmston, and the shop was packed out. The freezers were full, so that was my new go-to, so I thought I would give Eccles another try and guess what a new manager was in town and the shop was packed with great freezer products. So, five stars and a brilliant shop.”

“Nice Big Indian/Pakistani or Asian Store with most of the Indian (South and North) cooking spices, lentils, rice, vegetables. Frozen fish is limited but there's butchers inside so good for meat too. Nice shop for Indian people living in Eccles, Swinton and Salford.”

“The best fish ’n’ chips in the area. PERIOD. Anybody saying the Kingfisher on Parrin Lane is better — and the other comments — listen up. Yes, they are super friendly at the Kingfisher. They also close at 8:30, not the 9 p.m. this one does. And you can’t complain that this no longer takes card payments because neither does the Kingfisher, but this at least allows bank transfer — so basically it takes card payments. Also, saying it’s expensive? Last night I got a LARGE FISH & CHIPS with a pot of GRAVY and a pot of MUSHY-PEAS (both of which are far superior to Kingfisher’s) for £11.20. I think that’s very fair. I’m posting the pics here so you can see how amazing they are — and that’s after going to Lidl and walking 10 minutes home. Hot, delicious, and not greasy. 10/10. Give them a try at least once so you KNOW for yourself. :)”
