“We stumbled on this amazing restaurant over the weekend and so glad we did! It felt like we'd stepped foot into Spain. The owner was so friendly and welcoming and the food was stunning. The service felt so personal, something you don't find in bigger chain restaurants. There's a large vegetarian/vegan tapas menu as well as meats and fish so plenty to choose from. I would definitely visit again and would recommend to anyone.”

“Had a great meal at Pete’s Fish Bar in Ringstead, the food was fresh, delicious, and cooked perfectly. What made the experience even better was the fantastic service from April. “First time I've ever had a lamb and haloumi (signature lamb burger) and my mind was blown. The mix of flavours and textures was just amazing! My only regret is only staying in town for a single night, so I could only sample one dish. The watermelon mojito and basque cheesecake were a real discovery as well! I still dream about them to this day.”

“The Spanish tapas here are absolutely delicious! The cheesecake was so good it completely destroyed my “keep fit” plan—I couldn’t stop myself from devouring it. Every single dish was full of flavor and brought me right back to my time in Spain. The only downside? The basement vibe isn’t the coziest and the chairs weren’t very comfortable. Also, the server accidentally tried to charge us twice—but honestly, the food was so good I almost didn’t care! Plus, the staff are actually Spanish, which made the experience feel even more authentic. Strongly recommend! Just… next time, pretty please let me sit at one of the nice ground floor tables. “What a great experience. A night out with the lads was not a disappointment. From the traditional Turkish food to the array of drinks on offer. Music throughout and an unexpected, but entertaining belly dance show. There was also lots of happy birthday vibes with the staff playing a Turkish drum and getting everyone involved in the celebrations. Do not miss out!”

“This was our first experience at Cromwell Cottage. We enjoyed everything about our time here. Our food was cooked perfectly for us - hot, fresh & the steaks to our preference. Staff were attentive, professional, friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Atmosphere was relaxed & happy. “Went to the Four Pears for a business lunch yesterday and had an amazing steak! It was cooked to perfection and the only problem was I wanted more! I had to leave for a meeting but the person I was with had a sticky toffee pudding that he said was divine. Definitely go here if you haven’t already.”

“3 booked in for lunch. We had filled flatbread + chips for £10. Big plates of food and very tasty. The staff were delightful. There were other people in the pub that we knew and they had really enjoyed their meals too and we all said we'd happily return (for pudding, another day as we're all full this time). Will definitely recommend Star & Garter to others and certainly wish them every success.”

“Martini/The Cottage is a very cozy spot for some Italian food. We’d long been meaning to go in and decided to book in for a table of 6 last night. I like the old building a lot. Low ceilings, nice and warm inside, old architecture meets modern decor. Our food was great. I thought the garlic mushrooms with pancetta and cheese were incredible. Very filling and full of flavour. The veal I had for the main course didn’t disappoint either. Some of the most amazing mashed potatoes I’ve had and some very flavourful meat. I’m very impressed. The prices were very good as well. I expected the final bill to be much more. Lastly, they serve a very good pint of birra moretti in here. We hope to return soon!”

“Food is absolutely delicious, well cooked and presented. The up cycling theme running through the building is excellent, creating a very unique place to eat, drink, and be spoilt by the owners. Games night is a great idea catering for all tastes, from board games to classic video games, and quite a bit in between. Highly recommended.”

“Top notch service and apart from pies everything is halal they claim though there’s no certificate(I guess that’s because of Pies). Prices aren’t bad compare to others. The only problem I see is the size of the fish. It wasn’t large, it’s more like medium to small. Food looks and taste amazing will use it again and hope they do proper large fish next time.”

“The food is fun and tastey with many different food to eat from chinease to fish and chips. The gravey is the best btw. The service is amazing they are understanding and freindly. They help you make sure you have everything and you food is correct when ordering. The atmosphere is freindly, from the colorful interior to the fun staff members. However it does get very hot inside, but you can wait outside to wait for your food if you are hot and uncomfy”
