“Went to the Four Pears for a business lunch yesterday and had an amazing steak! It was cooked to perfection and the only problem was I wanted more! I had to leave for a meeting but the person I was with had a sticky toffee pudding that he said was divine. Definitely go here if you haven’t already.”
“They offer a varied selection of Spanish tapas as starters and main courses such as paellas, croquettes, and other typical Spanish dishes. Recommended for family celebrations or gatherings with friends.”
“Lovely setting and great service. Food was fabulous and even for myself being a celiac non gluten eater they were very helpful, helping me choose items of the menu and checking on things with the chef. Bought bread rolls out for our other party members quickly followed by a non gluten bread roll for myself. Portion. Size of food is big and delicious. Not cheap but worth it.”
“I always stay at this particular Travelodge whenever I visit Bedford with my boys and we're always assured a comfortable and peaceful stay. It's very quiet being far enough from Bedford but also being near enough to be a great base to visit family from. Always 100% service and cleanliness etc.”
“The best restaurant in St. Martin!! The filet mignon is definitely worth a try!”

“Absolutely stunning old pub. Exposed beams, fireplace, low ceiling. Lovely little pub garden too. Sheltered and open.”
“Excellent place to eat proper traditional polish food. It's prepared exactly like 'your grandma' did. Been eating there for years and another excellent point is their consistency. Exceptional food, good service and ok place to eat (you most likely want to take away as they have only 2 tables and no toilets). Can't recommend enough”
“Came here tonight for the first time with my partner. Initially, the queue was long and we figured we’d be there for a good while. However, they were adequately staffed meaning the queue moved quickly. we ordered large chips, two jumbo sausage and curry sauce. It was superb! Chips were fresh and arguably some of the best chippy chips I’ve had. Sausage was also good. Curry sauce had a nice sweetness to it but I think the pot could have been a bit bigger. Will be returning again, thank you :).”
“We had a very nice time at the Mill Yard cafe. It was a Mother’s Day treat by our children. The service was excellent and the food was freshly cooked and delicious. It is a quaint cafe, situated in a beautiful side street. Thank you for a lovely time. Will surely be visiting again in the summer.”
“The horse and jockey will forever be one of my favourite places in Bedfordshire. The sea food is outstanding and the staff never fail to make me smile. Will recommend to everyone ❤️”
“This place is quite the find. We were looking for somewhere nice for lunch in Bedford and found it online. I must say this is some of the best Italian food I've had in the UK. Strongly recommend. Also fantastic service.”
“We held our Pearl Wedding anniversary celebrations here and the service, food, venue were absolutely fantastic. Beccy and the team work tirelessly to make everyone feel welcome and make everything run smoothly without any hitches. The outdoor area was beautifully set up and decorated tastefully with music and lighting into the evening it was perfect. Could not have asked for a better day.”
“This is a Lovely village pub run by very friendly people. Alas their Google presence is out of date so they don't food (hence no stars) except for Friday evenings but when we're dropped in for lunch they very kindly gave us some roast potatoes and sausages to snack on. I had a really nice pint of ale too. Thanks!”
“Another great night with top notch food. I didn’t even finalise my booking properly on line but they still accommodated us no problem. Thanks again”
“Lovely coffee shop with a good food selection on the menu. It is outside but seating is undercover. Friendly staff and plenty of choice.”
“I had take away. I had the fried wings, oxtail, chicken stew, and fish with peas and rice. Everything was absolutely delicious. Lovely spices but not so hot you couldn't taste it. The service was friendly and quick. I would definitely be going back and highly recommend.”
“The service was quick, and the portions were more than generous. Definitely a go to.”
“Really enjoyed the food and the overall atmosphere—both were spot on for a great night out. The service could have been a bit more attentive, but it didn’t take away from the experience. All in all, a solid 5-star visit!”
“Warm atmosphere, and the new menu is great, the buttermilk burgers are a personal favourite, also the topped fries!”
“Absolutely fantastic food, and wonderful staff. Got served by this polite young man who did a brilliant job of bringing us our food and drinks. Would recommend it to anyone with tastebuds”
“Authentic & fresh Thai food - and a good menu selection. So you can enjoy well-known staples like pad thai, massomam as well as street food classics. Friendly service and lovely armosphere decorated in beautifully renovated traditional pub with mesmerising Thai decor. Clean bathrooms and pofessional artistry in plating. What a treat in Westoning!”
“I was photographing an event today at Bellinis and both my client and the owner of the restaurant insisted I had some food before I left. Really pleased I did as the food was lovely, I had some banter with the owner too so lovely food and service! I would come regularly if I was local.”
“My second time buying from here. Very good chips, generous portions. It was a Friday so very busy but worth the wait and the 20 minute drive from my home. Clean shop. Happy to give 5 stars.”
“We've had a great time, lovely food, very sweet waitress Paris went above and beyond so we've had best experience ever. We will definitely be back soon.”
“A great chip shop with spot on food. Lovely owners with a good team behind the counter.”
“Great local pub sadly a thing of the past due to the UK A Gem in Troubled Waters This pub is an absolute treasure—a place where community spirit thrives, and the atmosphere feels like a warm embrace. The staff are welcoming, the drinks are poured to perfection, and the food reminds you of what traditional pub fare should taste like: hearty, comforting, and made with care. However, it’s hard to ignore the shadow looming over pubs like this across the UK. With the relentless rise in costs and the lack of meaningful support from the government, these small havens are fighting battles they shouldn’t have to face. The ever-growing prices make it harder for both the owners and the patrons to keep these cherished establishments afloat. It’s heartbreaking to think that such vital community hubs could one day be a thing of the past. So, while this pub deserves every ounce of praise, it’s a stark reminder of what we stand to lose if things don’t change. Support your local pub—it’s worth every penny, and then some.”
“Crispy fish and lovely battered chips, not too greasy. Long waiting time but worth it for the freshness of the food.”
“I have been regularly getting food from.rumbles for a few years now and I'm never disappointed. Staff are always friendly and the boss already knows my order before I've asked. A good range of options for food, the fried chicken or battered fish are excellent. Overall a great asset to have locally.”
