“I needed a spare part for my bandsaw and gave these guys a call then went in this morning to pick it up. The place is a little goldmine if you are woodworker. Chatted for a while and got some good advice about bandsaw blades which prompted me to buy one. The guys are knowledgeable and interested in what they do and the trip here from Peterborough was well worth it. They also hold a nice stock of wood turning blanks in many timbers. I shall come again.”

“Great small local store that stocks just about all the random odds and ends you could think of. Need a super specific plumbing fitting? Gilbys will have it. Need a new frying pan? Gilbys has it. That random hose pipe attachment nobody has made or heard of in the last 5 years? Gilbys has it. Compost, Lights, Jars, Paint, Dog bowls, door hinges, tin foil, weedkiller, slow cookers... You can also get your keys cut here for just a few quid. And it's generally cheaper than Amazon too.”

“A shop that stocks a lot of products! However, my main requirement was Calor Gas bottles. They stock most gas bottle sizes (mine is 7kg) and their prices are reasonable; much better than most petrol station forecourts- £10 cheaper.”

“Does what it says on the tin. Not sure about reviews mentioning moody or grumpy people. Perfectly pleasant. Ordering online and collecting is as easy as any other Screwfix. Stock does seem somewhat slim, but I don’t think that’s down to this branch alone. Friendly, convenient. Parking is a bit odd, especially if the neighbouring businesses have deliveries as this is an industrial area.”
