“We come from Northampton to this little place and it's always worth the drive. The staff are always friendly, sandwiches freshly made to order and more importantly, they taste amazing! So many things to choose from, and they always have new specials on. Sandwiches have plenty of filling, and they will happily add more if you ask them to. The shop is clean, welcoming and the menu is well displayed and prices are more than reasonable. We look forward to our next sandwich from them!!”

“We had a very nice time at the Mill Yard cafe. It was a Mother’s Day treat by our children. The service was excellent and the food was freshly cooked and delicious. It is a quaint cafe, situated in a beautiful side street. Thank you for a lovely time. Will surely be visiting again in the summer.”

“I do not have enough words to say how incredible Plum Park Manor is! From seeing the venue for the first time and being blown away, and through the planning stage, the staff could not be more accommodating and helpful. On the day, it was simply beautiful! They helped with setting up, kept me and the bridal party up to date, and went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly. We had a slight emergency on our day but the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had such a special day! A special mention to Claire, Rowen and Izzy for all their hard work :) The venue itself was beautiful; all very clean, and didn't require much more decoration as its so picturesque already! The Bridal room had so much space to get changed in for me, 6 bridesmaids and my mum: the 4 flower girls joined us to and everyone loved getting ready in there! The men got changed next door but this wasn't an issue as still felt separate. The bedrooms were all lovely and its great they are on site and a short walk to breakfast back in the house the next morning! The food all day was delicious! From the canapés, main meal and evening pizza's, it all went down so well and all the guests loved it! I would highly recommend choosing Plum Park Manor for your wedding day! It was simply incredible in all areas and we couldn't have asked for a better day! Thank you!!”

“Saw a painting that I liked but wasn’t sure until I got home. Rang the Woburn shop to order it and to my surprise it would be delivered the next day. The driver was so helpful and even took away all the packaging . He was so very pleasant and as were the staff in the shop. I will definitely be shopping there again as it was such a lovely experience.”

“I’ve been coming here for a while and always enjoy the drinks they make, the staff are really welcoming. The variety of drinks is amazing, you can actually taste the alcohol instead of just getting ice and juice like you get everywhere else. There were so many drinks I had never heard of, what a place. The decor is so London, the atmosphere is so London and what great people they get there, I literally made new friends, there is nothing to come close to this bar in Bedford. Thank you OURS for a great 7 hours in one place that flew by, I felt like I was only there a couple. Love you all that looks after us girls. See you all soon”

“The China Garden food is so consistent in quality and is absolutely delicious. I have been coming here for a few years now and quite honestly wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I have been to various Chinese takeaways in the past but none compares to the China Garden.”

“we have just finished placing our order and do not need the kitchen until middle of May 2026. I just thought I needed to post a review so that others don’t miss out on their kitchens! He listened to our initial concerns and walked us through it all and just the overall level of detail and enthusiasm for our work ( even though I think my space for the kitchen is fairly small ) i dont think we would've had received such passion and excitement from our designer , Pedro, than anywhere else we visited . The level of understanding and the fact he actually listened to our needs for the space ( even though some of my ideas were fairly ridiculous ) blew us away. We must have spent close to 10 hours with Pedro over various sittings include a visit to our home , poor man ! I'm extremely excited to have our furniture delivered and for our builders to start installing . We just needed a supply only kitchen as we trust our builders to undertake the work . Pedro and his director Jaz have left me with full confidence that they will be there to make sure it all goes well . I feel assured after seeing how well this young man has worked that we will be properly supported throughout this project of ours . I’m so glad We went with our gut feeling , and spending time with many different showrooms and designers we spent a couple of weeks away thought about how we confronted our concerns with each place and decided Pedro, at Kutchenhaus made us feel at ease and the design is stunning and his service even better. Ill be recommending pedro specifically to anyone I know who needs a kitchen Well done , I look forward to our install and having our bespoke german kitchen !!!!!!”

“We had our wedding at Slapton Manor earlier this year and couldn’t recommend it enough! The wedding venue itself is great for all types of weddings and also has great accommodation on site for the wedding party. Sam was great from start to finish and accommodated all our requests and the service on the day was absolutely seamless, moving us through the day. All the guests kept commenting on what a beautiful the venue was. Thanks again Sam for everything!”

“Such a lovely setting. Lighting,cleanliness and just the right amount of attention from staff. Not to mention the food came out in great time and subtle flavours of the classic dishes are just heavenly. I love the decor and choice of tablewear. Lovely roaring fire and great beers on tap to boot.”

Really friendly, not sure why anyone would give this hardworking small business less than 5*. Will be ordering from here again. “Nice little pub, walked in and was surprised at the selection of unusual beers on offer as I always like to try something new and normally disappointed but not at the lamplighter. Nice ambience in the bar and the barman was very helpful and polite. Good choice of beers. Would definitely come back!”

A special thank you to Joanna, our waitress, who was so kind and attentive throughout. She checked in on us just enough without ever interrupting the flow, and made sure we were comfortable and happy with everything. We ordered the Mediterranean meatballs and the mixed döner plate, both full of flavour and beautifully presented. The service really added to the experience, friendly, thoughtful, and relaxed. Beautiful restaurant, friendly attentive staff, beautiful food and loved the classical music - I personally can't bare it when music in restaurants is too loud and loved the background classical music (please don't change it). “Amazing service and the coffee was so good! I asked the barista if they could make their gingerbread latte in an iced version and she was happy to make the change (so many places wouldn’t do the same). Prices were also reasonable and fair! Will definitely return to check out more of the menu!”
