“Fantastic B&B, run by a warm and friendly couple. Jane and Charles cannot do enough for you. So much so, you feel like part of the family - especially if you here for a long-term stay. The Annex accommodation is excellent and so is the food. The cleaning standard and attention to detail reflects the conscientious attitude of the owners and the "nothing-is-too-hard" approach strengthens the appeal of this B&B. With three friendly pubs, a couple of down-to-earth convenience stores and easy access to the M1, West Haddon is an ideal place to stay - especially at the Shepherds Row B&B.”

“Lovely one night stay to go to a wedding at Dodford Manor- so glad we chose here instead of a characterless hotel! Lovely host and lovely little dog made us feel very welcome. The location is stunning and the room was beautifully presented and clean. We had a delicious home cooked breakfast delivered to us in the morning- the fruit compote was especially yummy. From the outside, it looks amazing and from the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with cozy vibes, friendly faces, and the amazing smell of whatever magic is happening in the kitchen. “We had a table booked for 7pm. Dined in and not only did we love our food, we stayed in for dessert and drinks until around 10pm. Loved the place, great service, friendly staff and Greek music in the background for a full authentic Greek experience.”

“Stayed here as close to wedding venue at Furtho Farm . Smallish rooms with single beds , but fine for the 2 nights we were all in one area and had 3 rooms . Breakfast very nice in a lovely traditional dining room . Not easy to find post code and our taxis were very lost . Be well prepared if going to the wedding / event farm . Thank you to the lovely lady owner who was very helpful .”

“We visited Aramintas Northampton, on the spur of the moment. We were welcomed into a clean, vibrant, well decorated and atmospheric restaurant, with very smart, helpful staff. “My wife and I went to Saffron, very modern decor with calm atmosphere. Extrememly warm and welcoming staff. Food was absolutly fantastic! Tawa lamb and mango chicken + aloo saag. They have King fisher on tap too which is always good.”

“We had a fantastic dining experience at Harvester today. We were served by Michelle, who was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The menu had some amazing vegan and vegetarian options. The grilled halloumi tacos were the absolute highlight—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. A must-try for anyone visiting! Highly recommend for anyone looking for great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and delicious dishes. Will definitely be back, especially for a Sundae!”

“It's been a few years since I last ate at The Narrow Boat, so I was interested to see how they were doing. Very pleasantly suprised. The ambience is much better, bright, warm and airy, a significant improvement. Very good food, tasty, hot and well presented. The staff were very knowledgeable, answering all of our questions. Their drinks selection is fairly standard, but this is the first time I've ever come across a draught Majorcan beer, which was excellent. Overall, a super effort, and much improved from my last visit. If, like me, you haven't been for a while, give them a go, you might be pleasantly suprised. Happy to recommend it.”

“I had a great stay at the Northampton Bedford Road Premier Inn on the A428. The receptionist team was incredibly welcoming and made check-in smooth and friendly. A special mention to Fridah, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, excellent service from start to finish. “Fritos is the sort of chicken place we needed - clean, funky and with good quality chicken. However : - mistakes/miscommunication definitely occur, so be very clear with what you're ordering. Also be prepared to have your patience tested a little. - when we went there was no water. They fixed this by giving us extra chicken. The food is great, establishment is lovely, therefore I'm not going to deduct any stars, but I'll bear the two points above in mind when I go next time.”
