“Awesome pub with friendly staff. The land-lady laid on a buffet for my wife's birthday party which we held in the lounge area. We had the whole lounge to ourselves and the hire was free (takings at the bar). Highly recommend. They have great bands on there as well. Food is fab too.”

“I rarely post reviews but on this occasion just felt I should share my experience at The Bell Inn this afternoon. So, a last minute decision lead to an impromptu visit for Sunday lunch, and we were very surprised to find just a handful of locals in attendance. Surprised considering the Sunday Roast was exemplary and very reminiscent of hearty, home cooked, Sunday Roasts. The meal was very reasonably priced too (x3 guests, x3 roasts, x3 sweets and x3 drinks. Grand total £66 (ie £22pp), awesome value). Highly recommended if you like an authentic British Sunday Roast as opposed to those tasteless ‘generic pub roasts’ that resemble supermarket meals. The lunch choices were somewhat limited but maybe that’s a good thing because the food actually tasted freshly prepared & cooked, and was truly flavoursome. Our thanks go out to the friendly staff (and locals) for a really pleasant, authentic, no frills, Sunday Lunch dining experience. We’ll definitely return when next in Finedon.”

“Used Mem-Saab for catering a birthday party. It was amazing! Live cooking stations (tandoor brought along as well) were very good and the service from the team was top notch. The team even cleaned up and didn't leave a trace of any food prep.”

“What a little gem. We weren't quite sure how to take this place from the outside when we arrived but it appeared recently refurbished and the Sunday Roast was truly wonderful. We had a great meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the meal. It was a very pleasing find. A point for improvement would be to get baby changing facilities. But it is a challenge in an old style of pub. We would revisit for sure. Thank you.”

“We were passing through town, our elderly disabled mum desperate for toilet amenities, the young girl at bar was sooo helpful, and even opened back gate for ease of access for mum. So very grateful to her and thats what you call caring people. Next time will definitely stay for drink or two. Thank you.”

“Went there last Saturday to watch the football and was a really lively accommodating pub with really pleasant bar staff. Gave me the remote when I wanted to watch the second game lol. They had music on after the football, they have a pool table and bandits so what else could I ask for. Oh and a really nice beer garden out the back which is enclosed in its own little hideaway.”

“Love this place! Very friendly staff and a great pint. Always lots going on. Karaoke Fridays, DJ Saturdays, all the sports on tv and dart and pool nights. Something for everyone. Had a party there and the buffet was great! A brilliant all rounder pub. Liked it that much I now go in regular.”

“Visited Monks Park Working Men’s Club on a Sunday with a group of friends, and we had a really good time. We joined in with the bingo, entered the raffle, and had a few friendly games of pool — exactly the kind of relaxed afternoon we were after. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and there was a nice community atmosphere throughout. Drinks were reasonably priced, and it felt like the kind of place where everyone looks out for each other. We’d definitely visit again — and who knows, maybe even become members if we can! A great spot for a laid-back Sunday with friends, assuming one is a member.”

“They don't sell food for a start, service is great a real working man's pub. Friendly staff and even more friendly people that frequent there, they have 2 pool tables and have 2 pool teams, the best member of staff by far is Audrey the dog she is exceptionally friendly and cheerse up everytime I see her. Externally the pub don't look amazing but once inside it's actually quite nice and alot bigger than you would expect”

“Been drinking in the Abington for almost 10 years now and it remains my favourite pub in Northampton. Truly a pub with something for everyone and Simon and the team do everything they can to treat everyone like regulars. If you're new to Northampton and looking for a community feel, the Abington is a great place to start.”

“Took my niece for a meal. The food was very good, the staff friendly and helpful. I couldn't finish my steak sizzler meal the portion of chips was large but excellent value for money. Millie checked everything was OK. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Will be visiting again soon.”

“Sunday roast beautiful as always. We had to wait for a bit but service was very apologetic and food is beautiful. Definitely worth waiting for. Pretty afford for that kind of meal. We had starter between us, chicken and beef roast and 2 soft drinks and it came up to just under £50. Can't recommend enough.”

“Never had food, but a good atmosphere, prices are decent by Wellingborough standards. Service is good, but could do with some staff who look a bit friendlier and not like they want to be at home every shift. In town, so a good place to go if you're going about town for a night out. Usually has security during the evening on weekends, so if you look under 25, make sure you bring ID.”

“There's no place like the wellingborough road I would say. An African partt is a great party. Come here for a great atmosphere or play some free pool outside in the back. Just ask who's on next and then ask to be next up. Bbq going outside. Recommend this for your African party”
