“I’ve been craving burgers ALL day and was SO satisfied after this meal! What a treat. Ordered jalapeño cheese bites, onion rings, coleslaw, side salad, cheese burger, zinger burger and chips. (Sorry if that’s not how you spell your name) We’ve been loyal Domino’s customers for a long time, ordering every month and spending around £60–£70. It’s our go-to for family nights and we always look forward to it. Unfortunately, our most recent order didn’t live up to the usual standard, both pizzas had poor presentation and just didn’t look right. It was disappointing, especially considering how often we order. We called the store straight away to raise our concerns. That’s when Gabe, the assistant manager, stepped in and completely turned the situation around. He was understanding, professional, and genuinely apologetic. Without hesitation, he offered to repeat the full order for free next time, no fuss, no hassle, just great service. Gabe handled everything with such care and made us feel like our loyalty really mattered. Thanks to him, what could’ve been a frustrating experience became a reminder of why we keep coming back. “One of the best takeaways I've had during my two years in Nottingham. The owner and staff are always very happy to see us, today they offered us complementary chips and prawn crackers while we were waiting as they were a little busier than usual. The food portions are gigantic, always feel full after eating. The menu is very diverse, with lots of different offerings. We usually get the "Create your own box" which is only £8 for a medium box. Will always continue to be a loyal customer here and would highly recommend.”

“What a burger, really nice. I had the Mexican burger and my daughter had the buttermilk chicken. You get a really decent size portion of chips too. I admit, burger wasn’t massive but with the chips it was really filling. Comes wrapped in ‘newspaper’ love that and then in a massive box. You get a few warm wet wipes as well. For me, love this as I have a big beard and came in handy. Top marks, will definitely be back”

“Fantastic traditional pub with great selection of drinks, friendly bar staff, outdoor seating and chill out areas. The prices were really good compared to the city centre so it's definitely worth a walk up to if you are visiting Nottingham. There was a beer festival on for the weekend when we attended with some excellent local hand pulls.”

They advised was going to be 30 mins which we were happy at, and it was pretty much bang on 30 mins when it arrived and it was well worth the wait. The staff were very pleasant and food was spot on. “16th October 2024, we visited the Old Black Horse, and it was the Wednesday Night Pie night. We had a really good night. The price was fantastic. You can also order off the normal menu. The pies are first-rate and as good as any I have tasted before. The staff are really nice being professional and very friendly at the same time. We have been a number of times and had the Carvary. This is one of the tastest I have tasted, and the price is resealable.”

“Absolutely amazing food, full of flavors without the greasy aftertaste. Well worth a visit. To start was the tandori panier and the fish amritsari, genuinely great taste the food was piping hot and didn't taste like it was pre-made. The main course wasn't on the menu as I had asked what the server preferred, but it's his take on the garlic chilli chicken curry, except it was made with lamb and had his unique taste of spices. It was delicious and was complimented with lemon rice. The other main was chicken biryani. And this was definitely made fresh the chicken was perfect. Overall the food was outstanding, but what let's it down unfortunately is the outside entrance doesn't do it any favors, I would highly recommend giving jhakhas a try.”

“Outstanding service from a super warm reception to paying the bill. Everything was flawless. Party if 4, 3 had the amazing Sunday roast and 1 had the Chicken salad. The Hawkstone cider and lager was superb, just what you need on a hot day! Highly recommended.”
