“We have just had our new kitchen designed and installed by the Kitchen Company and are delighted with how it has turned out. Our thanks go to Andy and his staff for their patience and sound advice at the design stage, and for managing the project. It was more than a straightforward kitchen replacement, and involved removing an internal wall, plastering the ceiling and walls. We chose units from the Kensington range in mussel, with Axiom Padua oak worktops and upstands, finished off with Karndean flooring. Attached are some photos of before and after. The whole job took a little over two weeks and our thanks go to the individuals who skilfully transformed our kitchen/dining room. Ricky who dismantled the old kitchen and took down the wall. James who did all the plastering work. Sean who replaced and repositioned the radiators. Ross who laid the Karndean floor. David McGuiness who spent most time with us, carefully fitting the new kitchen. Finally a word of thanks to our own electrician Jason Daniel of Circuit Works who fitted the ceiling lights and wired up the new appliances and sockets etc. Everyone did an excellent job, but importantly they were also nice people to have in the house during the installation.”

“Great on a sunny evening outside, but looks nice inside too. Went to 3 pubs in the village over a 2 night work stay. Personal choice puts this top of the list. Modern beer garden areas, great selection of drinks, and service with a smile. A very clean and fresh establishment. QR code on the bar for WiFi. What more could you ask for!”

“I attended the mince pie making class tonight and it was a joy to be there.All the ingredients were laid out for when we arrived and we were taught with such ease that everyone found it enjoyable. We were able to look around the mill and the member of staff is so knowledgeable about the history he made it quite entertaining. Then a lovely glass of mulled wine accompanied by a warm mince pie was enjoyed by all. The time and effort the friendly staff put in is tremendous well done and thank you”

“A very warm welcome a beautiful traditional pub. Very friendly staff. The waitress a breath of fresh air. And the food was traditional good cooked and presented lovely a set menu is available at a very good price. We had soup pates fish, and my husband hasn't stopped talking about his pie, and braising steak and home made desserts apple crumble and steamed puddings, absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended. “Best place to eat in our area, 3 generations are able to eat here and even my dad likes it (he's a retired 1/2 Hungarian chef, who likes 3 places in the whole of Barnsley) As a disabled single mother, I struggle finding places to eat that I feel comfortable in. But the staff here not only accommodate every odd request my toddler makes but helps me in and out of the cafe with my pushchair This cafe is disability friendly and they are always happy to help if they can”
