Dining atmosphere in Rotherham

“Review based on one visit. Honestly, I was blow away. The chap behind the bar and the lady organising front of house and kitchen were great. We had never been before. I called ahead, it's Sunday, asked if we could get a table booked and they said it was fine. We arrived soon after and the table was being set up, amazing customer service. They had an amazing quality highchair for our 1 year old too which made the meal time run smoothly. The kids wouldn't have eaten anything off the kids menu (we dont eat meat and they dont particularly eat fishfingers, fussy I know), so we split and adult Cod meal between them and they were fine with that. Food wise, top quality and homecooked, fresh. The cod was absolutly delicious, even better than the sea side. Was some great nostalgia from my childhood to visit a small local pub with good grub. Prices were fair. Good range of soft and alcoholic drinks. The only negative point, would be the lack of baby changing area. Or at least we couldn't find one. But to be honest, we just nipped out and changed our son in the car. No harm. Was great Sunday afteroon. Highly recommended.”

“Tuesday Menu is the one!! 4 dishes for £17... (we'll have 2). Salt and pepper chips, Chicken curry, chicken fried rice, beef chowmein, crispy shredded beef, sweet and sour chicken balls, BBQ Ribs, salt and pepper chicken and Afew cans. They send out afew fortune cookies, prawn toast, Spring rolls and a bag prawn crackers for free. Free delivery, which is friendly and always on time. Only negative is trying to get through but not surprised with the Food being absolutely delicious. All this for about £38. BARGAIN!!!!”

“This chip shop has the best chips ever. I love their chicken kebab, and my fella loves the Yorkshire fish cake. However, you need to order in advance for the Yorkshire fishcake, but hey, it makes it fresh and awesome. I have to say I have been all over, and their fish and chips are phenomenal, so go get some. My kids visit, and they are blown away by the house special kebab mixed meat chips sauces and salad it's big enough to share. No, I don't know them, and I ain't being paid, lol. I have only one criticism I am a brummie, and I love scallops. Which in brum are sliced potato in batter, my fella reckons they were called taty fritters.”

“Very tasty, especially the veggie samosas and veggie pakora (onion bhaji). Good value for money - eg, regular breakfast £5.99, samosa chaat £4.99. The menu is a mixture of Indian street food and traditional English dishes.”

“Called in here tonight on my journey back home. Straight away I was greeted with a warm friendly welcome. I ordered a thin crust meat feast pizza garlic sauce and can of tango which came to £15.40. The pizza itself was very tasty with plenty of toppings however the star of the show was the garlic mayo. I have never had such a morish sauce in my life. I would highly recommend visiting this place if your in the area.”

“We went for lunch and on arrival the place was buzzing but noisy. Being just a party of 2 the staff were very understanding and we eventually moved to a quieter part of the bar. The food was outstanding. Specific requests were accommodated without fuss. The beef was tender and tasty. We had a thoroughly pleasant experience. “Called in here after been kicked out of a local pub because our under 9s football team were to young for the area we was stood in . We wanted lunch so left the team to celebrate a cup win in the travelers and went to the droppingwell as we used to come here loads so was happy to see it had been updated and was looking great , we was found a table even though it was really busy . We ordered food and drinks it came really quickly I had the pulled pork burger and my wife had the turkey pudding wrap both were excellent and good value . The place is good for all types of dates or occasions we are planning to book more after team meets here if we can , come on the under 9s eccesfield Spartans.”
