“Attended pre-walkers stay and play with my 8 month old, had such a lovely time. A number of different areas for babies to explore, lots of toys. Everything was very clean. Great coffee and cake too!”

“Lovely village pub at the end of a quiet lane. Although the rooms were fairly small inside, the atmosphere was quiet and not crowded. Service was always very fast and friendly, the food was cooked perfectly! No vegetarian options were on the menu but we contacted them in advance and were able to pre-order from a few options. This place was a great find and I'd definitely return.”

Proper butcher quality food supplied for their own butchers, best black pudding I've ever had and the sausages were absolutely delicious. What a lovely little sit in cafe. Shame I didn't get any pictures and also I forgot to ask what their butchers is called to pop in and buy some meat”

“Nice/pub/restaurant/inn. Good rooms, plenty of parking, quite road which was originally the A1 up till 1960, now bypassed so it is quiet. Large garden with children's play area at the back. A good selection of meals available, mainly around £15 to £20. A good place to stop if you are travelling from London to the Lake District/Northumberland/Edinburgh.”
