What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the outstanding service. The staff were proactive and incredibly kind, always there to help with a smile. The dining experience was equally impressive. “Out first time visiting in over a year. Came for a Birthday/anniversary meal as a family. Food was really good and really big portion sizes for the price! Booked in advance to sit up in the orchard room as its much quieter so I'd recommend that!”

“Been to plenty of Italian restaurants and this is certainly one of the finest and most authentic. Service was first class, Antonio I believe his name was, he was very attentive without being overbearing. He was very kind and memorable. Food was clearly made with high quality ingredients that represented Italy in its finest form, food was fairly priced compared to the top quality we received. Wine was cold, which seems like a normal thing but sometimes it can come warm, not in this case, perfect temperature. Atmosphere was really nice, it's not often I feel the need to take photos of the decor and surrounding areas but this place was truly unique and eye catching, whilst being very home like. Perfect balance. Overall I am very impressed and if I return to Chesterfield again I will surely visit this spot. Please give it a go, Antonio truly deserves all the business. Highly recommend.”

“Called in here with a workmate,killing a couple of hours between jobs. It was very quiet at around 4.30pm, but within an hour was very busy. Cracking selection of beers/lagers. Very friendly lady behind the bar. We both ordered the fish fingers on ciabatta - very, very nice, and the chips were proper ones too, none of your oven chips here! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!”

“Really great selection of freshly roasted coffee - love having the weekend ritual of picking up some beans! Can get whole beans or they will grind them up ready for a cafetière which is great! Very helpful and friendly staff which also adds to the experience. My only suggestion would be to consider adding the roast date to the individual coffees for those of us who like to know :D Not sure whether the staff know themselves when the beans were roasted but this is a very minor observation! Great place to have in Chesterfield overall and I wouldn't buy my coffee from anywhere else :D”

“Went for the first time to this family run business after a recommendation & reading reviews. This is the best kebab we have ever had. We ordered one chicken & one doner kebab. The amount of meat we got & the quality was outstanding. The sauces were amazing especially the chilli. The best chilli sauce ever. Now onto the staff. So pleasant & friendly. These guys deserve your business. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed. We are definitely returning.”

Probably the best priced in the area(Whittington moor) I can imagine this place having a really good atmosphere on a match day but unfortunately not the same at 1pm on a Friday.
