“Definitely better than the 4.3 average stars it currently has. It's a touch tired in the changing room area but my daughter and I loved our visit on the whole. Something for everyone and every age group, our 1.5 hour time slot flew by. The three main flumes were fast and thrilling without being terrifying. The diving board area was good fun. Normal main pool with lane swimming section. 4 lane waterslides to race down. Definitely be back and we live an hour away, so I think it's worth the drive over.”
“Room was very comfortable and clean and the the staff were very helpful and friendly. Beverly in particular was very helpful and gave good advise about the local area.”
“Was very impressed with everything and so organised with our coach party on arrival. Very clean and presented room. Food was amazing, especially huge choice for breakfast. Staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Only stayed one night but cant fault the hotel, was great!”
“What a lovely theatre it's a warm.and welcoming feel not a big place nice and cozy all seats have a good view of the stage. The bat is very nice and good prices too.”
“This really is a secret gem in Barnsley. A small but very friendly atmosphere, great host and absolutely delicous food. Would highly recommend you book now as they book up months in advance!”
“Second time went to Tony's for a haircut, I forgot to leave a review for the first time, and what he does isn't just a haircut or a shave. It's art, and he's without a doubt one of the best Artists I've ever met.”
“Nice walk around the well maintained park, cafe on site with a play park for the little ones. Parking at the bottom of the hill to walk through the gardens is free ans has ample spaces and there is also a mini golf course on site. Toilets could do with cleaning more regularly but at least they're there!”
“Had a delicious meal at Pasha Turkish restaurant in Barnsley yesterday evening. There were 6 of us (aged 22 to 85 years old), and all of us enjoyed our food - it was fresh, cooked to order (e.g. one of us asked for their dish to be made without one of the listed ingredients), deliciously tasty, and good sized portions. Great service - the waitresses were pleasant, attentive, and professional. The restaurant has a good atmosphere, I’ve marked it down to 4 stars as the temperature was a little cooler than most and I was glad I had a cardigan. Although Pasha is on a side street in town, there is plenty of parking (including free parking if you know where to go - I gave the restaurant a ring in advance as I’m from out of town, and they were were very helpful) All in all, from our experience yesterday, this restaurant deserves to be popular.”
“I visited Locke Park for the parkrun. It’s a pretty and well maintained park. There is a bandstand, cafe, a children’s playground, open green areas, and trees. The park is hilly and at the top is a historic tower. The tower is fenced off but opens to the public on certain dates. The highlight of the park, for me, was the fairy garden. It’s a small area but there is so much to see. The artwork is detailed and really well done.”
“We came for an event day, and there some stalls selling local produce by the cafe. There were free guided tours of the mill, and you got to make your own flat breads and gingerbread to try. Walks round the mill pond and reservoir are stunning with lots of ducks to feed.”
“Love this place! Well situated in a central location in Barnsley Town centre. Small enough to create a warm, cozy atmosphere. Staff are friendly, welcoming and attentative. Even though busy, we didn't have to wait long for any of the courses. Always well presented and extremely tasty. Even the drinks prices weren't overly expensive. Quality restaurant, quality food, and an enjoyable experience.”
“Popular with our granddaughters ; a lake to walk round, ducks and geese to feed. An exciting playground for toddlers to 10 year olds. A bridge for pooh sticks, chatty fishermen; a lovely afternoon.”
“❤️ Lovely walk, clean and quiet. There is a fishing pond for those who fish, lots of little paths through woodland areas. Great place for a stroll, very scenic to say its in Barnsley town centre. Enjoyable for dog walkers, there are paths for when its wet, but gets muddy off the beacon track if you dont mind muddy feet. There are picnic benches around the pond, but the downside to this gorgeous place no rest room facilities along the way. There is also a skateboard park and plenty of parking.”
“Called in this morning when passing. Brilliant Yorkshire welcome. Great food ..... in particular Eggs Benedict. Great Service. Great Value. When next up we certainly won't be having breakfast in the hotel that we stay at. Thank you.”
“First time here and will be back. Had a good walk around we brought a few bits and pieces from the shops inside the centre also there are a few good cafes. Very nice venue.”
“Lovely little pub, friendly locals and excellent beer”
“Lovely little place to visit with shops, a garden nursery and shop, a dog shop and groomers, opticians, massage therapist, jewellers and bistro. We had a meal in the bistro and the food was delicious with generous portions. There is a petting zoo area where you can feed the goats with a donation for a pot of food.”
“Personally I an a amazing experience with this shop, almost instantly recognised the size of every garment needs. The staff are very grateful, professional and do their best to help and get the suit of your dreams WORTH EVERY PENNY. AND THE SUITS VERY HIGH STANDARD”

“Lovely shop. Great service, above and beyond helpful. I ordered some gifts and they were bubble wrapped securely and then gift wrapped at no extra cost. Any questions I had were resolved quickly and happily without fuss. Great place for gifts and treats in Wombwell. P. S. No idea what they use, but shop smelled amazing too!”
