“Location is perfect. Stoned throw from cheap secure overnight parking. Rooms are clean quiet and comfy. Staff excellent and the food and drink really well done. I will stay here again.”

But not having a, printer I called in to the tourist office where the lovely lady behind the counter said she could print them out for me with no charge. I was highly delighted and couldn't thank her enough for solving my problem. I would highly recommend their services.”

“We loved our stay here! The lady Laura was fantastic as we arrived slightly late as the walk we were on took longer than anticipated, when we rang she told us not to panic and she'd let us in still, and to travel safely which was lovely. The pod was very clean and tidy on arrival, mugs and hot drinks on a little table. The bed was very comfy and there was heating in the pod which made it warm and cosy. I just wished we could have stayed longer here! We will be back!!!”

“We went to Hardwick Hall recently for the Christmas experience and it was really good. We really enjoyed it. I’ve visited a long time ago and each time it has been kept in a really good condition. The grounds are really lovely and the shop and café really nice. They had a little coffee van out as well this time and it was really nice too. It was absolutely tipping it down with rain but that still didn’t stop us from having a good time. There was also a guide there who answered my questions about some of the history, she was energetic and it was great to meet someone so passionate about the history of the place. Would definitely recommend for anyone of any age, but bring an umbrella if you think it might rain, unless you’re happy to run inside the hall!”

“Went here as some of our friends recommended it. Very pleasant and the staff very friendly. We only had coffee but it was nice and we enjoyed it. We tend to go for places with a good ambience and this is definitely high up on the list and we felt very comfortable. It does get quite busy but that's good for a local eatery and we would certainly go more often.”

“I needed an international driving permit, and this was the only place that was reasonably close to me. The couple that run this place are so kind, friendly and helpful. I only wish that more shops gave such a lovely welcome and service.”

“A lovely little park with tennis courts and childrens play area. This park is home to bishops house a Tudor hunting lodge now a museum with Tudor period rooms. There are also wonderful panoramic views of Sheffield from the top of the hill. It is great for sledging in winter thanks to it's steep hills.”

“Great castle and stunning views. We went while the Halloween events were on and my 6 year old absolutely loved it. I think it would have been nice for more information to be around to read, for those of us that didn't pick up an audio guide (they are hard to listen to with a young child running around), some short descriptions of each of the rooms around the castle would have been really interesting. But overall really enjoyed our visit!”

“Stoped overnight in a loverly room. Great location for shopping. Had a evening meal there roast beef which was superb and breakfast was loverly too. All very reasonable. Shopping next day. And went back for another roast turkey this time. Very good service and food. Paula and tony”

“Iv just moved to North Wingfield from Sheffield and my sister wanted a Chinese! This place is really nice! The food is soooo delicious! Good portions! Great prices! Friendly service!We were both really impressed, actually better than any Chinese take away in Sheffield! Will be coming back here for sure! Thank you for the lovely food!”

“First time visiting since re-opening and was really impressed. Reasonably priced hot drinks, soft drinks, snacks and sandwiches/hot food. Lovely and knowledgeable staff, lots of information about the Chesterfield Canal, local walks and boat trips available. My Mum and I had afternoon tea here too (new venture for them) and it was fantastic. Vegan and vegetarian options were appreciated.”

“I would highly recommend staying here. Graham and Hilary were very welcoming providing suggestions for places to eat before we arrived. There was a large choice for breakfast which was preordered. The bedroom had drinks and biscuits available and there was a downstairs sitting room for guests. It was very quiet and we had an excellent nights sleep.
