“Dropped in for a caf brunch ended up having a really tasty keto brunch, the wife had eggs and avocado Benedict and kids had cozy meals. Everyone loved their food the service was fast and polite. The cafe was nice and clean. All round we just had a great experience.”

“Hursley Cafe is definitely the café we’ve visited the most since moving to Southampton. With its great value for money, we find ourselves coming here almost every Sunday. This is a record of our visit two weeks ago, after our eldest daughter and her friend finished rugby practice in Eastleigh. We ordered Egg Royale, Lasagne, a Kids’ Meal, Mocha, and Hot Chocolate. The food quality was excellent, and the portions were generous. This café gets extremely busy on Sunday mornings, so we highly recommend calling ahead to make a reservation to avoid long waiting times.”

“Haven't been in for ages, last time was not long after it had opened. Friendly staff. Had the I think deluxe hot chocolate that comes with a cake. I chose a biscoff cupcake. Both the drink and cake were amazing.”

“Sitting in conservatory, was very comfortable. We just had cappuccino and cake then later pot of tea and chocolate tiffin. It was very nice. Staff were excellent, carrying a tray of tea/cake for me and clearing table when needed.”

“Just had a great Sunday lunch cooked by Chef Luke. Friendly service from Sam. Roast lamb was great and my wife had a half a roast chicken which she failed to finish - just due to the volume - and to ensure she could fit in some dessert. Cracking crumble and excellent bread and butter pudding with homemade vanilla custard. Great way to end a weekend away. Hoping to book the place for a birthday party next year...”

“Looking for a place to walk our hound and have a slice of cake i stumbled upon woodland cafe on Google maps and decided to give it a try, seeing a woodland around it. It is located within Itchen valley country park and one needs to pay for parking. There is a lovely play walk for the children, go ape, cycle path, bridal path and dog walking paths. A lovely piecefull area. The cafe is inviting and the staff are very friendly.”

“We dropped in to The Kitchen for a quick breakfast of coffee and croissants and were not disappointed by the quality of food and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. My only complaint is the temperature in the cafe - probably around 15/16°C. Brrrrr! This is not the first time we have experienced it so cold here - it's the reason we stopped coming here regularly.”

“This pub has real character and is well worth getting to know! It is very much a local pub... But... The locals are really friendly people. It's right on the river but there is a quiet road between the pub and the river. In the summer you can sit out on the pavement and have a drink and still river watch. The prices are really reasonable and there is a good variety of quality drinks available. There is a pool table in the back bar and opportunities to watch sports but this doesn't dominated the character of the pub. Staff are lovely and the pork scratchings are fresh from the local butchers. Great pub!”

“Had such a wonderful time dining here with a big group of friends. The food was top quality — every dish was delicious and well-prepared. But what really made the experience stand out was the service. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly patient. A big thank you to Manager AJ and our lovely waitress Dina — both were so attentive and genuinely friendly. There were also two male waiters who helped us a lot throughout the meal, though we didn’t catch their names. Still, their service didn’t go unnoticed! With a group our size, things can get messy, but the team handled everything so smoothly. Orders were taken clearly and accurately, and when it came time to split the bill, it was done in such a neat and organized way — really appreciated that. We all left full and happy. I’ll definitely be back, and won’t hesitate to recommend this place to my friends!”

“Just got back today from this place and it really is a great place ! The owners are absolutely amazing , we had an incident with one of the 3 kids having a seizure and had to get an ambulance and everything . The owners were amazing … they took the other two kids one of which is a little girl and has autism’s so gets really really scared and panicky with everything but they took her and the other girl whilst us adults dealt with the poorly one an the paramedics .they just distracted them and showed them the animals and had them helping with waking the animals up ready for the day (it was about 7 in the morning ) and offered them breakfast and just was great.. really supportive ! They allowed us extra time to pack up which was a blessing as we were people down..really helpful and supportive along with so many other little bits they did! , We will definitely be going back! Plus the field and the River are just amazing and the kids absolutely loved it , first camping trip we’ve ever done and this site smashed it !”

“Such lovely food. All cooked fresh. I had bubble and squeak with bacon and poached eggs. The bacon was thick and cooked to perfection. The poached eggs were delicious and just runny enough. Very tasty. Will definitely visit again.”
