“Our first visit to Sobar last night. We drove up from Cornwall. We had read reviews from others and were a bit concerned about the apparently over zealous doormen. However we found all the staff to be great. The patience of the tall lady supervisor at the upstairs bar when dealing with a fussy customer was amazing. The atmosphere was great. Drinks were expensive but tap water and ice were freely given and definitely needed as it was very hot in there. Would definitely visit again of theres something that appeals to us there.”

“Staff is by far some of the most professional and attentive I’ve worked with. Both bartenders, management and floor staff were amazing. The venue has everything someone would need to create or enjoy an unforgettable night and they are flexible in everything to make sure the night reach’s maximum potential. Can clearly see a big improvement compared to a couple years. Unbelievable sound system and lighting show.”

“First time using Silent Disco King - they were excellent. Really helpful with ordering kit and explaining options. Kit arrived promptly with full instructions and contact numbers if needed. “Had an amazing time at Turtle Bay for bottomless brunch for my friend’s hen do! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing and the drinks started flowing quickly. A special shoutout to Eloise, who made the whole experience even better. She was incredibly efficient, always making sure our glasses were topped up without us needing to ask. She was also friendly and genuinely warm, checking in with us regularly and making sure everything was spot-on. The food was delicious and the cocktails were fresh and strong — you definitely get good value for money. Would absolutely come back again. “We had Charlie DJ at our Evening Wedding Reception. He was absolutely fantastic, we can’t fault him at all. He was very professional but had a laugh with us at the same time. He played all of the requested music and had a few brilliant choices of his own. All of our guests said how fantastic he was. Lucidna aswell was brilliant to work with. “I’m so glad we booked The Ultimate Disco, Danny and his team are friendly and great at what they do. Guests were on the dance floor all evening, with a great variety of music. We were also impressed at the great initiative for the vibe at the end of the night, with it being a Sunday wedding there was a group of us left towards the end of the night, the music was tailored and perfect. The love letters we added from The Ultimate Disco are amazing and really added to the day. Thank you Dan and team!”

“Everyone knows Jesters if you are a student in Southampton or even the locals. Jesters is half night club, half bar (Clowns). Jesters is underneath and houses good music, cheap alcohol and a mosh pit type dance floor. It is nowhere near as bad as some festivals but definitely an experience. If you haven't been, go! It deserves a 5 star because its Jesters! Haha!”

“Absolutely love this place, been a regular forever and even come down to visit the wonderful staff for a pint of black moon when I now live over an hour away. Can't fault it, met some of the greatest friends and family here. It's such a special place, ups, downs, the star has always been there for a celebration, for a grieve, or just for a break. This place is so amazing I miss coming regularly, the star will always have a great place in my life, my greatest friends, my greatest memories too.”

“Attended the Raver Tots event at the Engine Rooms and it was brilliant, started raining while queuing up outside but the staff/ security were amazing got everyone moving in very very quickly with nice clear instructions, friendly but professional. There was a little bit of a wait to get served at the bar and did get overlooked afew times by bar staff but that happens in those environments. Drinks were a bit pricey for a childrens event but again that’s nothing new. Every staff member I came in contact with was friendly and polite. Kids had a brilliant time which was the most important thing”

“Located down the side alley next to the Social & then upstairs We visited during the Music in the City festival where the Loft were hosting punk music. First time we’ve here & I didn’t even know it existed. A great small venue to watch live bands, a decent size stage with lighting & good sound. A bar that unfortunately didn’t stock a lot of variety of beer but still a good place & will return.”

“An amazing place to eat, drink and relax. This place has a wide variety of options on food from thai to classic American style beef burgers at great prices. Also they have great offers on drinks such as 2-1 cocktails and house doubles which you can’t say no to!! The customer service is top notch and will be going back :) would recommend to anyone”

“What a cracking venue even better than before now it’s had a refurb and under new management. The sound system is next level and you can really tell there is a sound engineer involved because it’s crystal clear and no distortion even on a hardcore rave night . Staff are all friendly and efficient , security is good but not intimidating or intrusive . The only improvement I would make is to give the toilets some attention, they are clean and functional ( all night which is testament to how good the staff are) but some locks on the doors in the ladies would be welcome, and the position of the toilet roll holders is not very user friendly. Overall still a 5 star music venue for the smaller more intimate gigs. Love it there .”
