“We really loved Kesarum- it has a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and most importantly, the food is so tasty. Every dish we had was a feast for the eyes and tastebuds. Fully recommend a visit.”
“Simply incredible. I've been to many Japanese restaurants, but this small, cozy place has undoubtedly become my favorite. The food quality is outstanding. Everything is freshly prepared with great care. You can truly feel that each dish is made with love and a deep respect for Japanese tradition. The fish is fresh, the flavours are balanced, and the variety is impressive, especially for such an intimate restaurant. The space is calm, clean, and thoughtfully organised. It’s run by a lovely couple who are incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even more special. Their hospitality and attention to detail really stand out. My partner and I ordered the summer roll, salmon hoso maki, black tiger roll maki (my partner’s favorite), Philadelphia roll (my favorite), tuna and salmon sashimi. The prices are fair and more than worth it for the quality you receive. It’s the kind of hidden gem you stumble upon and immediately want to share with everyone. More people need to discover and try this place. ❤️”
“A huge thank you to Sally & the team for making my surprise birthday shopping trip to Sass & Edge so special. Everyone was so welcoming & helpful. Loving my purchases!”
“A wonderful full on experience. I chose the KF Fish wings as my starter. This chef must be mad to come up with the idea of fish wings KFC style. It’s so hard to eat without getting frustrated by a bone here or there; but it is soooo worth it. A totally tasty, barking mad, delicious starter. Being a Friday I followed by posh fish n chips. It’s just what to expect from an excellent restaurant. Spot on. To finish Rasberry soufflé. An amazing and incredible desert. It’s a must visit restaurant.”
“We visited Lucky Lychee in Winchester on two consecutive weekends, travelling all the way from London—and it was absolutely worth it each time. The satay beef and chicken were true standouts. Juicy, tender, and marinated to perfection, each bite delivered layers of flavour that were both rich and deeply satisfying. The meat was cooked just right, striking a balance between succulence and char-grilled depth. The grilled aubergine, courgette & fresh broad bean Malay yellow curry was another highlight—comforting, aromatic, and full of warm, layered spices. The vegetables were beautifully grilled, adding a smoky depth that balanced the gentle heat and creaminess of the curry. It paired perfectly with rice and had that cozy, soul-satisfying quality that makes you want to go back for more. The watermelon & cucumber salad with crispy pork cracking was a refreshing counterpoint—light, crunchy, and perfectly balanced. The watermelon was incredibly sweet and juicy, cutting through the richness of the pork crackling with a clean, fresh burst of flavor. We also really enjoyed the char siu pork—beautifully roasted, with a sweet, savoury glaze and just the right amount of caramelisation. The texture was spot-on: tender, juicy, and packed with that classic smoky flavour. The beef rendang with red pickle was another standout dish. The rendang was rich and deeply spiced, with melt-in-the-mouth beef, and the accompanying red pickle added a bright, tangy contrast that cut through the richness perfectly. One dish that truly surprised us was the sesame prawn toast. Unlike the standard versions you find elsewhere, Lucky Lychee’s featured lemongrass, adding a zesty, refreshing twist. Light and crisp without a trace of oiliness, it was a clever, modern take on a classic starter. Even the desserts were a delight. We tried the banana spring rolls, which were golden and crispy on the outside, with warm, sweet banana on the inside—simple, comforting, and very well executed. The cheesecake with pandan was especially memorable: fragrant, creamy, and subtly tropical. It’s a rare find in the UK and a must-try if you're looking for something a bit different to end your meal. Lucky Lychee serves up food that’s fresh, thoughtful, and full of heart. Every dish feels crafted with care and intention. No wonder we made the trip two weekends in a row—it’s that good. Whether you're local or coming from London, this spot is well worth the journey. Highly recommended.”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Unforgettable Dining Experience I honestly don’t even know where to begin — this was hands down the best food I’ve ever had in my life. Every single dish was perfection — from the first bite to the last. The flavours were so fresh and beautifully balanced, and you can tell how much care goes into every detail of the presentation. The sashimi was melt-in-your-mouth soft, the sauces were rich but never overpowering, and the dessert was the perfect ending. Every course felt like a little piece of art. The atmosphere was calm and elegant, the plating was stunning, and the staff were so kind and attentive without being overbearing. It’s rare to find somewhere that gets everything so right — food, service, and overall vibe. If you’re looking for a meal that truly wows you and leaves you speechless, this is the place. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. I’ll be dreaming about this meal for a long time.”

“I really struggled to find a bra that fits but Ellie and Bea came to the rescue. The time and effort that they gave me and the bras they found, superb. At the same time as dealing with me, you also sorted my Ma who also struggled to get a decent bra and was in desperate need if new ones. Thank you very much for your time, dedication, patience, focus and help in finding such brilliant fitting bras for us both.”
“We had booked a table for 8 of us for a family birthday celebration lunch. Some of our party were late arriving but the staff were very understanding and let us have the table for an hour before ordering our food. James, our server, was friendly and funny and kept us supplied with drinks and snacks until we were all together and ready to order. The food was delicious as always and the meat-eaters, pescatarians and vegetarians were all pleased with their choices. Thank you! And see you again soon…”
“Lovely shop and great selection of clothing and accessories and staff were really welcoming!”
“Great food - the best curry house for miles. Ahmed is always willing to adjust set dishes to the customer’s wishes. The food is terrific and very reasonably priced. Loads of choice on the menu too. It’s pretty basic so if you want tablecloths, linen napkins and flock wallpaper, this isn’t the place for you but it is if you want a really great meal.”
