“What a great addition to the Southampton dining scene. A beautifully designed restaurant specialists in cheese/meat boards and fine wine. What I love is the superb staff, friendly service and of course great food. This place can be a place to bring a date, a casual catch up or just a meeting. Whatever brings you here its guaranteed you will stay a while enjoy the wine and chilled beats. The decor is amazing too - the ceiling looks like grass and there is a lovely hand made sign over the bar! There is such a selection of food that you will find something delicious. And even a full vegan alternative so no excuses from anyone not to visit. As for access, the Porter is fully inclusive, handicapped access and I was able to bring my support dog and she was also made to feel like a valued guest. Special thanks to Milo, for always going above and beyond with the service. Highly recommended.”

“A warm welcome on a cold and wet day. Started with a lovely bottle of delicious Zinfandel wine. The food that followed was divine! The best Chowder I’ve ever had, (better than Boston USA). Sandwiches are lovely too, with pre seasoned fries, scrumptious. My partner’s pulled Beef bourguignon starter and pizza were lovely. Portion sizes are generous. the prices very reasonable. Great selection of food on the menu. Bonus, loving the playlist background music. Lots of free parking, as per signage, you simply need to give your car registration. Lots of outside seating too, (for warmer days). Toilets very clean. We’ll be back for sure. Highly recommend!”

“Lovely evening at Tim's Bistro, the food was very fresh and was a delight to have a wide selection of fish dishes to choose from. The monkfish wrapped in Parma ham was delicious and the mussels were tasty too. They need to sort out their booking system, we reserved a table two weeks in advance but seemed to not have our details on record but squeezed us in on a table at the back. We overheard the chef swearing in the kitchen, sounded peeved that everyone who had sat down for a 7pm booking all had their orders submitted at once and had to turn out all the meals in one blast. Definitely be back for the food, but do sort out your online booking system.”

“The best Italian in the area, not just verwood. It’s been our regular Friday night pizza place for years me, and it’s still the pizza I’d choose over any of the other pizza places. Staff are great, good is great, definitely worth a visit. It’s usually busy, always a good sign in a restaurant, so worth booking in advance”

“My wife and I have dined at Tiien several times and the food has always been fresh and tasty. Last night we went to celebrate my wife's birthday and without asking they brought out a lovely banana fritter desert for us. This was a very pleasant surprise! We had a great laugh with the older waiter who joked about how young she looked and how old I looked! (73yr) All the staff are friendly but you need to engage with them and they will join in and laugh with you. An excellent evening and highly recommend.”

“What a fantastic pub this is!! Visited with my family for a Sunday Roast for my girlfriend's birthday. Staff were all lovely and attentive! Food was great. Atmosphere was ideal for a cold, winter Sunday. And may I make note that it was so refreshing to see the owners speaking to and treating the staff well. Rubs off on customers well - and is a fundamental basic that far too many other establishments get wrong. Lamb shank was great!! Sunday roast was slightly small but very tasty. “I've been on the hunt for great fish and chips for years, and today, I finally found it at The Bistro Shamrock Quay. The batter was perfectly crunchy, and not greasy. The chips were just right – crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. It's evident that every aspect of the dish, from the sourcing of the fish to the cooking technique, has been meticulously considered. From now on, whenever the craving for fish and chips strikes, there's only one place I'll be heading – The Bistro at Shamrock Quay. Trust me, once you've tasted their fish and chips, there's no going back.”

“We, as a family, love Prezzo and when on holiday in the New Forest we always visit this Prezzo. Why? Because apart from the food always being superb it is the service that adds to the experience. We have to therefore make a shout out to Lucia who was absolutely amazing. More so because we ate outside with 4 small dogs and a large dog who where on the whole well behaved but at times noisy. Add a two year old child then always a difficult task for anyone. Lucia took all this in stride was absolutely amazing around the dogs, who where excitable, and deserves all the thanks in the world. Looking forward to next year's visit.”

“I've been coming here for my curry fix for some years now. My favourite is the Kashmir Fruity, which I wish they would do with prawn and not just chicken. This week I had the Royal Garlic King Prawn Payaza, a deliciously savoury dish that was mild yet flavoursome; best accompanied with strong beer. Overall I go for milder curries, which they excel at. Fantastic value for money, and discounts for cash-on-collection. There are 2 websites with "Shah Faisal", the one ending ".co.uk" is the cheaper of the 2 it seems. Inside it's not really a place to sit and eat, it's better than it has been under th last owner, but the seats are more just for somewhere to wait for your dinner. The new owner like to play wierd AI videos on the TV of flowing rivers and stuff! Overall Shah Faisal are good lads and I'd recommend ordering from them. I've even smuggled one of their curries into the football ground.”
