“Farima was our waitress this evening, She was friendly and helpful with regards to our nut allergy needs. No task to hard checking ingredients for us. Aswell as taking us a photo together with our food. We've been a few times here and food is always exceptional and so are the staff. Warm and welcoming as always thankyou for a lovely night!”

“Lovely, cozy, traditional pub / restaurant, with lovely decor, great, friendly, service, and delicious food. Overall really enjoyable experience taking my elderly mother out (in her wheelchair ... which I was quite dreading, but didn't need to because the Fox & Hounds was 'wheelchair friendly' and (with the help of the lovely staff) the experience was totally stress-free!). So a really special time spent with my mother, who enjoyed her meal immensely! Thank you to all staff at The Fox & Hounds. Totally recommend this pub / restaurant to anyone. And hope to be back there sometime soon myself too!”

“I love this chippy, it's about as good as it gets and I've been going for as long as I can remember (if they were open in the 80's then for that long). Back when my grandparents were alive I use to go and get fish and chips for us all and then sit and talk to them around their kitchen table. Now we have moved up here I'm getting to do the same thing with my little family. Keep up the good work I love your fresh fish and chips and you have never once given bad service.”

“I came here to try out this place as it was on the newspaper and it was a big public chippy which was apparently one of the best, I travelled from quite far to try out the food here and I can truly say it didn't hit my expectations but it was still decent. It's a pretty good chippy even if it isn't the best one I've seen. I'd recommend this place on especially how hard working the staff are and how clean and spotless this place is! When you come here you can tell you're getting nothing but a high end quality product even if doesn't taste the best. The white interior design truly makes this chippy standout along with it having a seating area which most chippys don't have! Getting to see the person peeling the potatoes through a glass window is also very appealing.”

“On arrival we were greeted by Sarah, very approachable and accommodating. She explained clearly where we would find out room and even nipped to the Beefeater attached for a couple of fizz flutes as we had brought with us a couple bottles of fizz for the room. Thank you..”

“Stayed here for a week for a business trip. The rooms were excellent as were the staff. On the last night we experienced a power cut which was out of the hotels control. They moved us to a different hotel which was made very easy by the hotel manager. The staff were brilliant and handled the whole situation. It would have been understandable with so many people to deal with if someone lost their rag. But everyone remained calm. Fantastic staff. Would very highly recommend”

“Lovely staff, lovely rooms, not super modern, but have everything. Stairs are a bit dated, but it totally suits the building, superbly clean. We would definitely stay here again, especially for the price. Ample car free parking. If you're a train enthusiast, this is a must! It's opposite the train station. We visited Stoke on Trent and Nantwich, and both 20 minutes drive away. There were many more places about it, but we only stayed 2 days. Near Tesco express, macdonalds and loads of food delivery places.”

“Just had a 1 night stay for our 40th wedding anniversary had our evening meal and I had a fillet steak it was beautiful, my husband had the lamb pie it was very tasty but a bit on then small size. The room was spotless and very spacious, breakfast was delicious, I will definitely visiting again. Thank you”

“Harry DJ’d for my 40th party at the Vagrants after being recommended by the venue, and did a fantastic job. Booking was easy and the admin straight forward, and I got to request plenty of songs which were all played throughout the night, and he even managed to squeeze in a few last minute requests. “A beautiful place to stay with a host in Simon who makes the experience of staying even better. The location is perfect for visits to Stoke on Trent and there are a host of great local pubs to eat at within 20 minutes. Breakfast was ideal and would recommend the oatcakes! “What a beautiful pub, walked in, needed a table for 6, the lady sorted it out even though they had taken a booking for 20 people. Brilliant menu, food looked & tasted fabulous, service was quick. Waiters were so helpful & polite. Definitely would recommend for anyone to eat there.”

“I had a great time at Riminis Cafe in Crewe. The restaurant has an interesting design and decoration with Turkish elements, such as carpets, cushions, lanterns, and paintings. The staff are nice and friendly, and they make you feel welcome. I ordered the Mixed Grill, which is a collection of all delicious Turkish grill items, such as lamb adana kebabs, chicken adana kebab, lamb shish and more. The food was fresh, hot, and tasty. I also tried the Falafel, which was different from the classic falafel I usually have. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a nice flavour of herbs and spices. I loved it even more with the Turkish chili sauce that came with it. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Turkish food or wants to try something new. Riminis Cafe is one of my favourite places to eat in Crewe.”

“My wife and I visited here for our wedding anniversary and we loved it. The staff are really friendly and polite. The food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. We loved the little "Snug Room" we sat in. Very cosy! Would definitely recommend for a drink or meal. They have various specials on too, like curry night. Will be visiting again in the future!”

“Fabulous location a stones throw from the golf course and cricket ground. Really close to Newcastle and not a million miles from attractions like Waterworld or Alton Towers. The main draw though is the strawberry picking nearby. You cant escape the rural location when the 12 and 13 year old tractor boys walk around. The food though and the decor are first class. Whilst sitting waiting we watched 10 or 12 different meals come out and we could have ate every single one. A big recommendation from me.”

“The White lion is a hidden gem, I only discovered it recently. Two real ales and all the other lagers you come to expect. It's very clean inside and out, a well kept pub. Food is served but I haven't tried it yet. Large beer garden to the side, and a covered over area with seating. Well worth a visit.”

“We arrived mid afternoon in our Motorhome with plans to eat in the pub and stay in the car park overnight. The staff were very accommodating and said it was no problem for us to do this. We had a light lunch and drinks in the afternoon then returned in the evening for dinner at a table I had booked a few days prior to our visit. The food was fantastic and the service was first class. Will definitely return if in the area again”
