“My partner and I were passing through Sandbach on our motorcycles, in need of a lunch stop. Dedicated bike parking spaces in the town square were a pleasant surprise, further enhanced by great service and great food at reasonable prices in Sally's.”
“We had our first visit to Café on the Square yesterday as saw that they were dog friendly. Upon walking in we asked for a table and were immediately accommodated, we chose to sit outside in the spring sunshine which was lovely. The service was impeccable and the food was beautiful, we had club sandwiches and homemade cake to follow with tea and coffee. The tea was also loose leaf and came in a lovely filter pot. Will definitely be visiting again to work our way through the rest of the menu!”
“Great little pub and friendly staff and customers. Big choice of beers and plenty of sports channels to choose from”
“Such a nice atmosphere here! Everyone is really friendly and helpful. Just a relaxing and pleasant way to spend an afternoon.”
“Me and my family had food here and we all thoroughly enjoyed it, the owner was absolutely lovely and took the time to chat to us and to our children. We will be back soon ☺️ definitely recommended!”
“Quaint , hidden gem of Sandbach. First time here today. Polite and friendly service. Dogs were welcomed, which is nice to see. The food was cooked fresh to order. It was well worth the wait. I can highly recommend the mega burger! Delicious. Excellent choice of food and a great drinks menu”
“Great customer service. Lovely lady behind the counter was very nice. Great oat milk flat white made fresh behind the counter.”
“The best Waitrose coffee shop we've ever been to. Choose your own mug, very friendly and fast service, always have their delectable almond croissants, great coffee (lovely and hot), hot toasties, very nice seating, plenty of room, excellent toilets available! Stopping there is the highlight of our journey from and to the south from Cumberland. A very short and easy hop from the M6, and infinitely better than grim motorway services. Much better prices too, and a lovely Waitrose there if you want any groceries, drinks, snacks, gifts etc. In nice weather you can sit on tables outside. A big free carpark of course, and a petrol station handy close to the M6 roundabout on the way back. Perfect! Follow the map instead of Google - no need to go into the town. Straight off the M6 roundabout and keep straight on to the next roundabout and the car park is the last exit, go past the first car park (paid) to the free Waitrose car park. All very close to the roundabout. Opposite the picturesque old church tower.”
“What a fantastic selection of teas and coffees! I really enjoyed my drink. My pastry was lovely and soft, even if the pasty filling itself was a touch dry. Definitely worth a visit for a beverage!”
“Booked Air of the Dog for 21st birthday and we were not disappointed. The guys setting up were so nice, very friendly and helpful. The pub itself was amazing. It definitely had the wow factor. The package is definitely value for money. I'm now trying to think of another reason to have a party so that I can book it again. Thanks Matt and the guys for helping to make it a memorable event that all my guests enjoyed.”
“Beautiful cafe with a wonderful atmosphere. The toasties and panini's were delicious. There is seating both inside and outside so you can sit out in the sun.”
“Now owned and run by a local brewer. All the best for your future plans for this place Andy! One of the best places for cask ale in Sandbach.”
“We held a private party at Jenny’s Tea Shop to celebrate a family birthday. The afternoon tea was delicious and everyone had a wonderful time.”
“Lovely friendly pub, great staff, great selection and quality of beers and some excellent food. Relaxed but higher-end gastro that welcomed us despite having been out walking all day. Will definitely go back!”
“Driving from Glasgow to South Wales we (4) needed somewhere with great food and great real ale for a relaxed stop in mid afternoon. Just less than 3 miles from junction 17 M6 we phoned ahead to make sure the opening hours hadn't changed and what ales were available. A charming girl confirmed 4 ale selections and that the kitchen was open all day until 8pm. We arrived at 14.15 and were seated near the bar. The food was second to none. Piping hot and fresh, local and delicious. Exceptional value. We were told the pub had been in the same family for over 30 years and Jake, the owners' son, was obviously clearly passionate about his role in the business and his ale husbandry. One of the most perfect stops we have ever made and would return in a heartbeat.”
“Ate in the bar for a family meal . Always offered a bread roll whilst waiting for food. Home made chips are delicious would go to eat just for those. Plenty of choice on the menu . Portion size of meals good .Staff lovely.Have booked restaurant for a retirement meal. Better to book in advance as can get busy.”
“From the warmest of Italian welcomes to the most amazing food. Wow simply wow and the service was outstanding We will be back for sure Thank you for a lovely evening with you”
“Nice relaxing cafe. Had baguette and a brew. Very nice and fresh and reasonable prices. Other items worth trying so will definitely be back one lunchtime to sample. Some cafes are noisy with coffee machines etc but this wasn't. Thumbs up from me.”
“Fantastic little place, with a great selection of beer and an outstanding Thursday night quiz (one of the best we’ve ever been to!). Everyone was super friendly and looking forward to coming back soon.”
“Fabulous meal, the best food I've tasted for a long time. Could not fault anything! So much choice, so in the end went for the shallots with ham, the Roast lamb as a main, which just fell off the bone, so tender. And if you fancy a pudding but don't want to be overfaced, go for the small dessert and hot drink. Would definitely go again and recommend.”
“Cool old pub, relaxed atmosphere, lovely staff and tasty, well cooked food. Had the veggie roast, good value and generous portions, extra gravy without asking and some cauli cheese too on the side! First visit, was great.”
“The food was amazing, we was lost, so we did have a nice meal and drink from here. It was really nice”
“A great place to for a good time the staff are very friendly polite and very helpful so are the landlord and landlady”
“Amazing local pub with great surroundings (stunning oak work and fireplace), friendly staff and locals. Not the widest variety of ales (3 or 4 real ales), but very well kept good traditional ales plus Salopian Oracle.”
“Absolutely amazing bar staff great owner”
“Had a party of 25 for a birthday meal. Pre ordered the food, due to the numbers and everything was top notch. The staff were brilliant, couldn't do enough, helped to make it a special day. Definitely recommend it THANK YOU.”
“A great find for a weekend break. Fantastic food and great choice of drinks. Lovely sized rooms and a comfortable bed. Will definitely be returning”
“Absolutely fab place. Booked it for a Sunday afternoon baby shower. Wow, the food was lush & plentiful. We were all stuffed & there was such a good selection of both savouries & cakes. We had chicken croquettes, the most amazing mozzarella sticks, hot & cold sandwiches. They catered so well for one of the group who was vegan. Cocktails were lovely too! Great service & ambience. I look forward to returning & would definitely recommend!”
“Great food, great atmosphere and very good beer selection”
