“Popped in to collect a takeaway whilst staying at a local campsite - really good food! My chicken tikka chom chom was excellent, but wish I’d ordered a naan roll - they looked tip top.”

“After a busy day ,we called for an early evening meal. The pub is Beautiful and very well run.The food was outstanding. We ordered the special Rib Eye steak, the portion size was extremely generous, and cooked perfectly. Delicious food and a lovely warm reception. Thank you. Would highly recommend.”

“Fantastic experience here today. Not only do they allow dogs inside, they offer a bowl of water and have a doggy menu. The staff were great with our pup, saying hello but not over exciting her. The food was fab too. Will recommend and will be back.”

“First time there in our newly converted VW camper and it was absolutely lovely, no noise apart from the birds singing. Loads of space and greenery just lovely being at one with nature and owner was really welcoming, definitely will be visiting again.”

“The food at the Lucky House is prepared well, cooked well and you can eat it with confidence. I've tried a variety of dishes and each has been tasty; not too greasy, not too salty, nor too sweet. The family are nice people and prices are very fair. When you phone through an order it's repeated back to you, you get a price, time, order number and a reminder that it's cash only. I always collect. 5 stars.”

“My daughter and I spent a wonderful day here at the Buxton Crescent spa for my birthday. It was a great experience. The staff were brilliant and made us feel very welcome. The pools and saunas were lovely and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The lunch we had was delicious. We both had the Indian head massage treatments. Very relaxing and very chilled afterwards. Would definitely do this again.”

“We popped in for Thursday curry night and it didn't disappoint. The lady who served me who i think may have been a manager was brilliant, she was on the ball with serving me and putting my order through, and i could tell she was working hard because didn't stop rushing around. The food came out in super quick time. Toilets were clean. I would definitely return to this whetherspoons.”

“Had a lovely meal last night. We were very pleased to see so many lamb dishes on the menu. The service was very good. We only gave it 4 for atmosphere because there were so few people in on a Wednesday night. There deserves to be more. Would thoroughly recommend.”

“Came across this place by accident on a quiet Monday evening while working in the area. The smell .from outside was amazing. Service was quick and friendly. I ordered the halloumi veggie burger witg upgraded loaded fries and my colleague went for the rack of ribs. Take a look at the photos, the portions are really generous!!! The flavours and presentation were outstanding! I will definitely return next time I'm staying in the area. Looking forward to trying the other things on the menu.”

“Friendly service and atmosphere, food was delivered hot and promptly. Tasted great and really filling, and great portion sizes. Only critique is that the food and rice were both overly oiley which was a bit off putting. Would we visit again, yes we would.”

“Very good range of furniture . Tables chairs 3 peice suites 2 seater settees some cloth others leather range of quality . Range of prices . Table lamps coffee tables .some beds. This is a well established buisiness over many years .They have 2 shops one is next to discount centre Maker Street. Helpful staff deliver.”

“Great stay Alison made us feel extremely welcome ,bedroom and facilities top notch and breakfast was of a very high standard. The stay was memorable most of all because of the warmth shown by Alison to us and we will absolutely stay again.”

“Visited this Beautiful shop Saturday 29th 2017 , what a fantastic Place so many wonderful things to c . Lots of furniture been restored to a high standard and a basement to look around in , it's amazing . Staff really friendly go out of there way to help , lovely cafe as well in the shop . YES if your in Buxton it is definitely worth a visit and who knows what you will come away with . “Came here first night in Buxton after being refused at two other restaurants that did not take cards the staff are very nice polite and helpful the prices are reasonable the portions are good and to top it of most importantly the food was tasty”
