“I stayed in Derby for 4 days for work and I only wish I’d discovered this place at the beginning of the stay. I’m on a bit of a low carb kick and all I could find in Derby was pizza or fast food. The food here was absolutely delicious and fresh, the Greek salad was perfect with a large chunk of feta on top, the skewers were cooked to perfection. The chap who served me was friendly and very helpful and the restaurant itself was lovely, I opted for takeaway as I was in a rush but I’d definitely sit in there on any future trips”

“I cannot recommend Browns Restaurant enough! Absolutely fantastic service- the host was amazing- so attentive. The food was top quality, freshly cooked and excellent value for money. This was a celebration for my Husband’s birthday and Browns went above and beyond to make it special. We are definitely returning very soon!”

“We visited today for my birthday and oh my goodness it's was brilliant. Absolutely fantastic service from a very friendly guy (didn't get his name!) from the minute we walked in. So refreshing to have a waiter who does things so well. Cocktails were lovely and well made and the birthday card was a very nice touch. We both had three courses, and finished every last bit of it all! Really delicious. My husband particularly enjoyed the Thai sweet potato soup and I absolutely loved the rump of lamb. The flavours were so fresh and delicious. Felt like a real treat to visit somewhere so lovely. Can't wait to revisit! Thank you!”

“Ordered steak , it was so amazing cooked and taste very nice! The portion was very good, couldn't even finish all chips ! There is no place in derby with same taste of steak. Highly recommended. Interior inside amazing, really love it. Friendly staff. Definitely come back to try something more from Greek cuisine!”

“Visited on Easter Sunday for a birthday celebration. Only found out about the place online the day before. How have we not been here before? This is a little gem of a restaurant. Although fairly small, and quiet when we arrived late afternoon, the restaurant had a nice feel from the moment we arrived. Service was excellent all the way through even as it got busier, and all our questions about the menu were answered by the manager who obviously took great pride in the restaurant. The food was excellent as we shared 5 tapas between 2 of us, which was more than enough, although we were tempted by dessert. The selection of wines was good, and the Spanish beers were interesting and varied. Overall an excellent meal, and good value when taking into account drinks as well. We’ll be back.”

“The store is well presented. There are lots of nice gifts and pieces for the home. We made a purchase of furniture after speaking with the nice gentleman there. “Best of the best food, the chips are crucial and consistent throughout, burritos/chicken wings are tantalising and tender with the perfect amount of seasoning. Once you enter the shop you’re introduced by a mix of world class music, paired with top tier customer service. For my first time here it was an experience you would get a michelln star restaurant! Will be going again for many years to come and I recommend AMIGO DERBY to everyone and anyone!”

“We use Love Curry at least twice in a month & have done for the past 5 years. But this weekend they were exceptional!! We asked them to cater for over 30 people, sent them a pre order & asked a time for it all to be delivered. It was all correct & piping hot. We all enjoyed our curries & Pizza's. “Great buffet experience with a wide variety of Chinese, Indian, and continental dishes along with live stations. Everything was fresh and tasty, and the options were well presented. The only thing I really missed was crispy fried prawns, which would have made it perfect, hence one star less. Otherwise, highly recommended!”

“Was excited to try The Windmill as it’s under new management. Went for Sunday lunch with my young family. The service and ambience was lovely. The food was superb. Absolutely delicious and great value for money. Huge portions. My Auntie took home a doggie bag and it lasted two more meals. My new favourite Sunday lunch in Derby. This is all second to the first rate service and the friendliest of staff, who were extremely helpful during my visit. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in lovely Etwall.”
