“Came on a Monday evening - pleasantly surprised to see it was really busy - advised there was a 40 minute wait on food which wasn’t a problem, but food came out well before that anyway. “Eggettes is such a gem in Keele! The bubble tea tastes amazing—easily some of the best I’ve had. The shop is cozy and full of adorable decorations, making it perfect for taking photos while you enjoy your drink. It’s a great spot to hang out with friends or just relax. “Food was not 5 star, though for me and my family it was exactly what the doctor ordered: generous portions, good tasting fare and, ....the price was very reasonable. Most of all, the chef and his daughter were so friendly, that we had a good natter with them were he explained some of the acts and singers performing there at times. “Have been going to Peony for years! I honestly can say my family and I will always be very grateful to have such authentic restaurant at our door step. yes it has been taken over by new owner and food is somewhat a little different but it is still delicious and better than a lot of restaurants in Hong Kong. I also noticed they have replaced table cloths and chopsticks the place is a lot cleaner! Owner is friendly and evidently put a lot of effort in her work place. I am grateful for Peony and I am glad I don't have to travel an hour to have delicious dim sum! Keep up with the good work! Recent visit: the crab meat dumpling (red one in the pic) omg! Must try!”
