“First time we have been to the Foodshion, we will be back! The food was fabulous, the service just what you want, the right balance. And finally, an establishment which knows how to treat customers, they presented the bill WITHOUT adding a gratuity automatically! Well done, shows respect. I left a 12.5% tip, it really does pay to have the right etiquette. Thank you!”
“What can I say it has to be the best around, for the buffet it has to be tried, I have takeaway mostly.”
“On a drive by coming back from Wem to home. I love finding market town restaurants and this one is excellent. Two chapattis, garlic chilli chicken and mushroom rice. Magic, just what I wanted asked for it to be a little bit more spicy, madras hot. Just delicious, friendly welcome and we enjoyed a great chat with the manager. I had mongoose lager and wife had the cobra. Places to park just around the corner. Overall, great experience, good service and food came out promptly. Reasonable prices too. Little Jaipur is a fab find, at the home of the gingerbread man.”
“3 of us booked in for Friday night at 6pm our first time visit hae try others but not as good as this one we will come back 5***** to eat in very nice staff just moved to market drayton glad we did great place”
“Been ordering from the app for ages but I decided to go into the store and order for a change, the staff were very friendly and helpful, service was very quick defo would come here again”
“Just had our first food delivered from here, food was piping hot. Fish was delicious. Will definitely be ordering again.”
“We came for the 12 wines of Christmas on Saturday and had a great time! Rachel who ran the event was knowledgeable and friendly plus the drinks were obviously great! If it hadn’t cost us as much as the event in taxi fees we would be there regularly! Can’t wait to visit the pub in Audlem next given it’s much closer!”
“Updated review. Glad to see that the same high quality has been transferred to the now relocated restaurant in Cheshire Street. The new larger premises (where the old Town House used to be) are just perfect, with increased capacity and really stunning decor.....even the toilet has received a fantastic makeover. The service is top class, really friendly and attentive and the food is deliciously authentic. Definitely need to book though since is very popular. Bella Italia Market Drayton. What a fantastic little authentic Italian restaurant and a great addition to Market Drayton's culinary offerings, complementing the already excellent nearby Foodshion (oriental) and Pickles (Indian). The fact that it is fairly small, 4 tables of 4 and a table for 6 gives it a really cosy and intimate vibe but with plenty of space between tables to afford privacy. The decor and lighting is quirky and has been really well thought out to provide a great experience for those seeking either a romantic atmosphere or somewhere different for a small celebration with family and friends. The background music was perfect. The menu is an Italian foodies' delight with a great range of beautifully prepared and presented pasta dishes along with a wide selection of meat dishes all at an excellent price. Thankfully not a pizza in sight! We were a party of 5 and shared the house antipasti (a large selection of cured meats, cheeses, olives and bruschetta) followed by various pasta dishes, Tiramisu or coffee all for less than £25 per head! They have a selection of soft drinks including zero alcohol beer, wine and fizz, or you can take your own alcohol. The service was top notch, attentive but not intrusive. This is definitely our new favourite local restaurant and will return very soon.”

“The food was superb. By a long way the best shooting ground cafe I've ever visited and not overly priced either. I'd definitely use them for lunch when I'm in the area even ifnim not shooting clays.”
“Lovely welcome. Spent 2 nights there as a gift. Lovely friendly staff. Beautiful rooms. Fabulous food ...probably some of the best we have had, both set lunch and breakfasts. The lovely Hodnet Hall just across the road...do not pass that by and the beautiful village church. Would def return to the Bear Inn and recommend to others and I can't say that about many places for food tbh or accommodation in the Midlands. Alison and Sandra particularly lovely at breakfasts and hats off to all the team members behind the scenes... excellent!”
“Best food on the town very friendly a staff”
“Great evening tonight at Redwood Smokehouse. The food and service was fantastic. We were a table of 9 and each one of us fully enjoyed our food. The platter is a must, gives you a taste of all the delicious smoked meats. We look forward to returning to try more of the menu. Thank you once again for a great evening.”
“We had our wedding reception here in July. We chose Goldstone as all the staff were very relaxed and accommodating - it didn't feel like a wedding factory. They catered to all our needs and nothing was too much to ask. They were responsive to our many many emails in the lead up to the day. On the day everything ran smoothly and we were subtly guided by the staff. All our guests had a wonderful time, they really enjoyed exploring the gardens and were very complimentary about the food (those with dietary requirements felt very catered for). The rooms were large and comfortable and guests all said they had a great night sleep. We would 100% recommend here for a wedding or special event.”
“This is a real gem in Market Drayton. Excellent food - fresh, tasty and interesting along with wonderful service. Can't fault it! I have been several times and it never disappoints. I had lunch there with a friend today who had a lot of dietary needs and the guy serving was just so helpful and friendly about it ...then the food that arrived was perfect! And its so reasonably priced too. Please support this local restaurant it's a real asset to the town.”
“We phoned 15 minutes before arrival and luckily were offered a table for 4 plus our dog. The staff were lovely and very attentive and the food was very tasty, especially the chocolate cheesecake. There was a really good selection of beers, wines and soft drinks. Some patrons were a bit loud but they weren’t there all the time so it was fine. It was a delightful surprise find.”
“Always have a fab breakfast at this lovely little tea room. The staff are so lovely as you are always made to feel so welcome here. We have also sampled the Sunday lunches on more than one occasion and I have to say they don't disappoint either. Liv and all the girls are a joy and Hungers Heath is our favourite place to eat.”
“Brilliant pub, music and hospitality”
“A fabulous little bistro in Market Drayton! Friday lunchtime specials are particularly good! Lovely menu with fishy dishes and delicious unusual salads! Not forgetting their own exceptional wines! 10/10 for us! Thank you ! X”
“Great food in a relaxed environment. Always love to go to the Robin Hood for a fabulous Thai meal.”
“Excellent service and beautifully cooked food with fresh ingredients. Lovely setting and highly recommended”
“This cafe is. In my book the best of the bestest Gail and her staff are there way up top nothing is too much trouble today Sunday 14 th December I went in for a Xmas tea way beyond expectations and that includes the buttercross cafe”
“Great service and really tasty food at a reasonable price. Nice local beers too. We would definitely recommend a visit and we'll certainly be returning.”
“Originally called to order a takeaway but the friendly welcome prompted us to eat in . Food was excellent. A few different dishes to the usual run of the mill favourites. Relaxed atmosphere. Sensible prices. If it wasn't our last night in the area we'd definitely have returned.”
“Been I the peel for the first time since the new owners have taken over and they have done a amazing job of the pub. The new owners have given the pub a much needed paint and a good clean and they have put a lovely patio in the beer garden. The toilet seemed new and very clean. They really seem to be trying really hard with the place. They had a BBQ on today which I found to be a great idea and really do hope that the pub goes from strength to strength”
“We rented Rosehill for a multigen family weekend with 11 adults and 9 children and cannot recommend it highly enough. The grounds are beautiful, there is ample to keep children (and adults!) entertained, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The hosts were friendly and easy to communicate with. We hired a private chef -Roots and Wings -for a Saturday adult dinner, also highly recommended. Overall, perfect for our needs.”
“The staff are always very busy but they make sure you are happy with the your order. They give you extra portions especially when they keep you waiting a little longer than they would like. Friendly staffs great tasting food well worth the wait. Claire x”
“Easy to book. Nicely appointed interior. Warm friendly staff and such a tasty meal prepared with some imagination. We hadn't expected such a great experience tbh so thanks. My steak was superb.”
“We booked a table for 4, for a celebratory meal for our daughter who'd smashed her GCSE's. It was a pleasant environment to be in, the staff were friendly and professional. The main courses were very good, just one little criticism we ordered 2 Lasagne's and found it to be a little too salty, but we don't use salt much anyway. The other 2 mains were fab. Well, what can I say about the desert they were amazing and generous portions, you couldn't fault them. We will definitely go back there. Hats off to them.”
“Fabulous Sunday roast, wanted somewhere that wasn't a chain and this place really delivered. Amazing Sunday roast and really good service and well priced especially for the portion sizes. Kids well looked after you, non of this beige nugget and chips! Interior is lovely too, very well decorated. Will stop there again!”
