“Amazing self contained mini flat. So well thought out! It has everything you need and is only 10 minutes drive from town. Quiet, comfortable, safe and great facilities. 100% would stay here again. They should start a chain of these! People in reviews complaining about no change of towels etc clearly didn’t use or check out the laundry facilities as there are towels and bin bags etc in there so you can either swap up or wash the ones you have been using. The laundry is a great bonus. I stayed a week as a base for house-hunting in Aberdeen and it’s really a home away from home. Yes it can get hot but the advise of using the fan and propping the door open works just fine. Best value for money catered apartment that I’ve stayed in.”

“John is an exceptional host. Excellent European breakfast. The Union street is just a 10 minute walk from the residence. Wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Aberdeen.”

“While out in woods you are close to several small towns and 1 hour from Aberdeen. We put over 800 miles on rental car. Nice place to really get away from it all. Pool and hot tub as well as Sauna were perfect.”

“Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Poor ventilation, was very hot. The toilet didn't flush very well. Shower was great. I felt the breakfast was much too expensive for the variety offered.”

“The location near the airport and P&J live is great. The rooms are quiet and with comfortable beds. However, the hotel looks a bit run down; it would probably require some renovations done. The staff is very polite, helpful, and professional. Definitely recommended.”

“Stayed here overnight before flying home to New Zealand the next day. Very quiet with no airport noise, short walk to terminal. Staff friendly and helpful, I had a lovely evening meal and the breakfast was also good. Comfy bed too.”

“We had a lovely stay in these hotel. The room was clean and cozy. The staff in reception were very friendly and plesant. Marvin Paule, one of the staff was very kind and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, all the staff in the breakfast area are very helpful and friendly. the foods are excellent. The location of the Hotel is easy accessible to the public transport,restaurants and pubs. I will definitely come back. Highly recommended.”

“I had a great stay at this hotel! It’s very clean, quiet, and peaceful—perfect for a good rest. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience very pleasant. Also, the pizza here is delicious, and the Wi-Fi is super fast, which was a huge plus for me. Highly recommended!”

“Needed somewhere close to airport for daily returning to California. Taxi was booked for 08.10 and that's exactly when it arrived. Rooms were basic with only 1 chair per room but they were clean. Would use that particular Travelodge for any future requirements.”

“Nice. Central. Reasonably priced. At the straightforward end of the market and very good at it. Just a room. No bar catering etc. Just a room. A very nice room. Very nice ensuite bathroom. No bath, but big enough for one if you want to bring your own. Surrounded by noisy bars etc but did not hear a thing all night. Obviously very well soundproofed. Lots of steps. Maybe not so good for the not so abled. But there may be a lift. I don't know as I didn't need to enquire. Super smiley receptionist. Nothing too much trouble.”

“I stayed one night before catching the ferry to the Northern Isles. The location is amazing, it´s just a few minutes to the bus and train station and not even a 10 minutes walk to the ferry terminal. My room was huge and very comfy with a great view of the garden. Very lovely owner with great tips for the area. There is even a lovely communal kitchen with some things for breakfast.”

“A high end B&B in its appearance from outside and in its high ceiling, traditionally decorated lounge inside, the best one I've ever stayed so far. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful to direct me to the local amenities. We stayed in a family room for a family of three. The room was clean and tidy with all the necessory facilities. The breakfast was a special treat and tailor-made to our taste. It was a great stay for my family. I really recommend it.”

“Absolutely brilliant hotel. Staff were always so helpful, polite and friendly, rooms are of good size and have all the usual things you’d need. (Only thing i would say to the hotel is get some plug sockets installed bear to the bed when possible). Breakfast was really very good, and the same could be said about the restaurants evening meals, VERY generous portions, all tasted lovely and at a great price. Look forward to my next stay here. “Excellent choice for our Sunday lunch for four. Friendly welcome and well presented, tasty lunches. Especially enjoyed the Skirlie Chicken. Perhaps some training opportunities for one of the waiting staff, who delivered a three quarter filled pint of beer and also could have avoided delivering over other people’s plates. Beer was topped up and good choice of Wainwrights’s and Hobgoblin. Mains were worth the wait but 35 minutes seemed too long. All in all an excellent lunch. And sent off with a piece of Mrs Tilly’s tablet. We’ll be back.”

“We have stayed at the Byde Guest House on several occasions and just booked it again , for another 3 nights at the end of this month . Claire & Simon make you so welcome , there rooms are immaculate, modern and spotless . There breakfasts are the best you will get anywhere . The location is lovely and quite , if weather permits you can chill out outside looking over Grampian Hills towards Deeside . I highly recommend the Byde Guest House for a single or few nights stay ? You won’t be disappointed and you will go back .”
