“First time in 41 years since I've been here. Very busy bar with great atmosphere. Friendly bar. Service was great by Neil, Lewis and a wee waitress(michelle) running around. Great pub food served hot. Lots of tv screens and pool tables. Excellent.”

“Food was lovely, we had a great time. Only confusion was online Christmas menu said 1 bottle of house wine per 4 people with meal, if booked in advance but when speaking to waitress wine was not being offered .We did get a bottle of wine. ( maybe you need to update menu online)”

“In general I am not a fan of airport hotels. While they are usually very convenient as being close to an airport , amenities are usually lacking and overall quality is usually pretty low. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the Hampton located next to the Aberdeen, Scotland airport. The location was excellent, less than a mile from the airport snd the car rental center. After a sixteen hour day of traveling we arrived at the hotel at 11:00 am and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready for check in. We expected to wait around until 3:00 pm for official check in time, but the staff member on duty greeted us with a smaile and told us our room was ready. Our room was small and utilitarian (it apparently was an upgrade because of our Diamond status) but was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Lots of places to charge our devices, a comfy bed, and the bathroom had great water pressure and very large fluffy towels. Food is available in the dining room from 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm. It is a very basic/limited menu and you order from your phone, but our pizza we ordered for lunch eas very good and cooked perfectly. They offered Continental breakfast at 6:30 and a full hot breakfast at 7:30 am (times are earlier during the week, so check). Both the Continental and hot breakfasts were excellent, a lot of variety and it was one of the better breakfast buffets we had ever had at a Hampton. Best of all was the staff. I wish I had gotten individual staff members' names, because they all deserved special mention. Everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful. They truly made us feel welcome. We will return in a couple of weeks at the end of our Scottish holiday before flying home and we actually look forward to staying at this particular airport hotel. Highly recommended.”

“If I could give more than five stars I would. The food: fresh, flavourful, speedy and very generous. If share pictures but we were too greedy. Atmosphere: you know a.place is good when it's busy on a Wednesday! The staff: we were met with such a warm welcome and that simple word is really how I would summarise our whole night. We had an absolutely lovely waiter named Hammad who just made our whole evening. We don't tend to venture out much due to nerves and being homebodies but this kind and sweet gentleman has made sure we come back. He gave us a beautiful complimentry tea at the end of our meal and stood talking to us for a few moments. You could really tell he loves his job and the team he works with and it shows! “What a lovely, welcoming place. We arrived mid afternoon and were delighted to find out hot food was on all day. My fish pie was piping hot and one of the best ever have ever eaten. The steak and ale pie was also tender and served with an incredible topping. The staff were kind, attentive and the place was had a warm ambience with great views. Highly recommend.”

“This is one of the best restaurants in Aberdeen. Located by the pier and beach, the ocean views are lovely. Staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful, and professional. The wine and drinks selections are excellent, with something for everyone. The star of the show, though, is the delicious and inventive food. I had the halibut, which was fresh and delicious, and served with baby potatoes and runner beans in a remarkably delicious sauce. My husband had the hake, perfectly cooked, with fennel salad, garlic mash, and this amazing roasted pureed garlic with basil oil. Delicious! We shared the sticky toffee pudding and misogyny caramel sauce with ice cream that was so indulgent and such an inventive take on the ubiquitous dessert. A perfect meal!”
