“We stopped by for some lunch. Great to be able to eat outdoors. The croque-madame with mushroom was amazing - the flavours worked so well - best I’ve ever tasted. Mitch - who served us was very friendly and helpful. We will be back!”
“My friend and I love this cafe after our walk around the waterworks. Yummy buns and a cuppa tea. Friendly service. Would definitely recommend.”
“Lovely people, lovely food, great wide range of food on the menu, breakfast served all day. Highly recommend”
“very nice surroundings, friendly staff and live music on a Monday night. a very enjoyable evening.”
“Probably the best prawns I've ever eaten. Perfectly cooked in a lovely batter with a delicious satay sauce and a perfectly charred lettuce. Would go again just for this. Dessert was also spectacular. A warm chocolate muffin with chocolate sauce inside served alongside a coconut ice cream. Delicious. Atmosphere and waiting staff all on point. Didn't have to wait long for the food or the bill. Top marks.”
“Yes, I can buy and eat my own flowers for breakfast! Beautiful brunch enjoyed on my first, but imagine it will not be my last, visit to this fantastic cafe in Newtownards. Choosing gluten free cost me my sausages but the dish more than made up for my initial disappointment. Food quality was superb, portion generous and the gluten free bagel was a bonus. Would heartily recommend. Very friendly and helpful servers and I loved the interiors of this place as well. Note: at busy times you may have to wait for tables of four but I was quickly seated as I only needed a table of one. Totally worth a wait though if you ever find that there is one!”
“Went to the wee bistro today without a reservation as I was only in the area for work last night and wanted some food before heading off. The staff were friendly and we're so incredibly in-control despite how busy it was. The music was good, loud but not too loud or overbearing. All the food was seasoned and tasted fresh. All portions were big and price was reasonable. Would 100% come back again”
“Amazing food and fantastic service. Food is fresh and locally sourced and there are many veggie, vegan and gluten free options!”
“The coffee is great!! And Alan the shop owner make great sourdough from time to time too!”
“Beautiful community center with tons of local programming. The cafe inside is delicious as well.”
“A hidden gem just off the Boucher Road. As a regular customer I have found the staff warm and welcoming. The menu is wide ranging, and the food is great. Breakfast is class, and I would recommend the Bolt Breakfast if you like a traditional fry, however theres lots of healthier options too. The restaurant is good size with a series of different seating options.”
“Great place to sit down and chill. Delicious pastry and perfect temperature coffee ☕️”
“The Millars Bar Balllycarry is a great place to stop and get dinner. The Service was excellent and the staff was super friendly. The food was quick to come out. Our order was not only correct but very good. The appetizer wings are some of the best wings I have ever had! Millars Bar Ballycarry is a place we will be back to!”
“I went here with my son after his 1st half day of high school as a treat. Staff were fantastic, very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. I advise you to go earlier if you are wanting sausage rolls or tray bakes as they sell out quickly.”
“Fantastic breakfast and lovely spot for a coffee. Friendly staff and quick service”
“Great place. Friendly staff. Great service. Fabulous food.”
“Love this place! The staff were so good; attentive enough without feeling like you're being rushed out! I can highly recommend the coffee, the avocado smash and brownie. I can't wait to return! It's a great space too, with plenty of tables which makes for a great buzz. Thanks!”
“What a fantastic place for no frills no fuss excellent food. We had breakfast and it was exceptional. Arrived in no time at all. Very tasty indeed. That's the mini fry in the photo, hit the spot perfectly. The poached eggs and smashed avocado were as good as you will get. Oh yes, the coffee is really good, proper fresh ground. Very reasonable price. Staff really friendly. Very small but packed with tasty food.”
“I only stopped of for a coffee on my way past. It was an awesome coffee. I will be stopping there every time I go near the place.”
“If you love contemporary coffee in a great atmosphere you're going to love this place. Go and enjoy you won't regret it.”
“Great food, great value. The large fry is under a tenner... Hard to find that anywhere in 2025!”
“Lovely place, I only discovered this hidden gem today and was blown away by the quality of food at amazing prices. Great stuff 10/10”
“Lovely little bistro a stone's throw from the water. Sophisticated but relaxed ambience with interesting works of art. A good wine list with more than enough options. Lamp rump was likely the best I've ever had - there's a reason they keep getting Taste of Ulster plaques. My companions' duck filet and the homemade tagliatelle with lamb ragu were well received. And dessert was delicious. Service was attentive with a light touch. Worth a visit but advise you make reservations.”
“Literally on our doorstep! Second visit in two days! Sausage Rolls made in croissant pastry, filled breakfast bagals, cream cheese and bacon bagels, biscoff lattes and more. Food and service is immense!”
“Some of the nicest meats I've eaten in Belfast. Fantastic fry up, the Hub Stack is £10.50 and good value. I dare say healthy fry up as it wasn't dripping in oil like many other places. Coffee is great as well. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.”
“Always enjoy here for a quieter place to have something to eat. Food always good and very reasonable.”
“It was all very nice and a new spot for me and should come back another time when it's so close to closing time. Although the staff were very relaxed and happy to let us sit on.”
“1st time going in had lunch with family and we got confused with their board telling you to go upstairs but lucky the owner came out and showed us where to go .we laughed at the moment. The staff are really nice it's cosy and warm when it was cold outside. Food was lovely and not greasy l had a mini fry and it was good.”
“I've never been so drunk in my life, I remember throwing up in the taxi costing £50, it was an expensive day out :) great pool table though! Friendly staff”
