Generally good for beef, chicken and breaded fish as well as interesting jarred foods allowing you to cook from scratch, creating tasty, healthy dishes at an affordable price. I also recommend Lidl wines and many of their other products, as well as a fun browse in the middle aisle.”

“Brilliant hot food selection. Hot food deli is next to their butcher counter and presents a great range of fresh cooked items. Besides bog standard Chippy pork sausages they have butchers pork and beef sausages, even ribs etc. I swung in for brekkie on the way to Newcastle and grabbed a baguette with 2 beef sausages and 1 bacon for 2.75. It was delicious! Super value too B-). Any time I'm near I'll be calling in for a treat of a breakfast. Thanks to the friendly staff, nice job guys! ”

“Excellent customer service from Ryan Smyth in clothes collection 25/4/25. It must have been a difficult day for this young man, as the computer system, required for clothes collection, had been suspended due to a recent cyber attack. I added to his troubles, as I was using a new phone and hadn't yet downloaded my Gmail or M&S apps. I'd arrived without my order number. He was very patient - offering tech advice etc. After finding my order no. and searching for the item in store - I was horrified to remember that the item was going to take an unusual 2 weeks to arrive and wouldn't be in store for another week. What an idiot I was. Poor Ryan. I had wasted ten minutes of his already busy day. Yet, he was still pleasant and customer focused. There was no sign of annoyance. This guy is perfect in a customer service role. You can't teach it. It's a natural talent. Well done Ryan. Ten out of ten.”

“Nice layout and really good to have the deli, butchers and now a post office. Friendly staff. My local spar so i recommend it. Only negative point though is the turkey and ham dinners keep gradually going up in price. They are the best dinners I have tasted, but may have to leave them be due to the price.”
