“A lovely theatre. It has a real sense of community. I watched Sister Act there this evening and it was really impressive!”
“Great small theatre on KES school site in Birmingham. Comfortable seats with lots of room. Great view and sound. Parking was fine but they do warn about limited parking.”
“Never visited before despite meaning to for many years. Went to see 'accomplice' and absolutely loved it! This is a small community theatre but the standard of acting was far superior to that which might be expected. Really enjoyed the evening and will certainly be back. Kudos to all involved with the production, it was brilliant!”
“Crescent Theatre is one of those places that truly has a soul. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a sense of closeness between the audience and the stage. The venue isn’t massive, and that’s exactly what gives it its charm every performance here feels personal and authentic. The auditorium is well maintained, the seating is comfortable, and the acoustics are impressive. The staff is friendly, well organized, and always ready to help. The bar offers a decent selection of drinks before and after the show. If there’s one suggestion to make perhaps a bit of interior refreshment in some areas would make the space even more inviting. But that doesn’t take away from the overall experience. A wonderful cultural spot that’s well worth visiting again and again.”
“Has a lovely old fashioned theatre atmosphere with a tall stage. It isnt huge which allows you to immerse in the show really nicely. We went for a children event so it was perfect. The seats have a decent amount of space, however, the stairs are steep so not very disability friendly but there is a ground floor entrance on the side”
“Visited this beautiful garden in May 2024, leaving a dreamy memory for me. Appreciate the effort and love into maintaining this amazing garden.”
“Great little theatre. Staff all v friendly. Aladdin panto really good, thoroughly recommend.”
“I visited the Swan Theatre in Worcester yesterday for the first time. There was a pay and display carpark next to the venue which cost £3.20 for 4 hours. I was very impressed with the tiered seating in the auditorium as it gave a clear view of the stage. There were no heads blocking the view! I watched Thomas Hardy's "Far From the Madding Crowd" performed by Conn Artists. A great show! I enjoyed the music and songs. A great old story brought to life by just 5 very talented actors. They have just begun touring with this show so catch it at a venue near you if you can! Highly recommended!”
“What a lovely gem in the middle of Worcester. If you don't want to do the tour of the house (which is very interesting trip in time) just going to the cafe and experiencing the garden is a lovely opportunity in itself.”
“We had a great time here, we arrived early but was able to come and have a drink at the bar area. Show was great all staff were lovely place and toilets were clean and warm.”
“Took my granddaughter to see Aladdin having never been to the Core before and was blown away by the venue, the show and the pantomime itself It was fun , witty , and the dame( who by the way was excellent) with lots of audience participation . It was very up to date with jokes about the area , the news and take offs of television like mastermind and the film ghost . It was a joy for the children, but also a brilliant afternoon out for the adults Best pantomime I’ve seen ever !!! Elaine Rayner”
“Great theatre. Everyone here is a volunteer and they all do everything. Acting, backstage work, everything! We enjoyed the production of “ Go back for murder”. Very high standards.”
“Brilliant shows, such talented performers”
“Excellent facilities for Dudley College. We attended a prize giving, for our granddaughter who attended the college on Level 2 Music gaining unconditional offer direct to level 3. We looked around Evolve. and was amazed at level of coursework on show, and actual facilities within the building. Only negative was that only VIPs had refreshments on offer. The cafe which was closed with on vending machines available. I think dudley college ( Evolve building) missed a trick here. I am sure tea, coffee, biscuits and slab cakes available from their exceptional Catering Dept. Would have been appreciated. My granddaughter plays the drums. Which was held outside the building... In the rain, cold etc so a lovely cup of tea would have helped enormously... But overall our granddaughter has grown into a beautiful young lady. Who has grown with the hello of dudley college. Well done everyone who received awards and good luck in everything you do.!!!”
“Great facilities and very interesting buildings around, the gym is absolutely fantastic with quality equipments to work out”
“Went to see A Night Of The Sixties , thoroughly enjoyed it. We were made to feel very welcome. The cast were really good. Great fish and chips, would recommend one of there shows as an evening out”
“Fabulous production of Fiddler on the Roof. Sat in row J of Dress Circle. Great view. Brilliant theatre with friendly staff.”

“A charming intimate venue with “off the beaten path” vibes from their drink selection to the musical events. If variety is the spice of life then this place has a pantry full of variety.”
“We have just completed a living room/ media/cinema room conversion with Ciaran from The Big Picture ….. the advice, time, work and effort from Ciaran during the entire project has been excellent …. from the first visit when we gave him the brief for what we wanted to achieve to the actual build itself and beyond …. Ciaran has been hands on every step of the way ….. the quality of the tech he recommended and installed was top notch and he always had our overall budget in mind ….. the passion with which Ciaran managed the build and also our expectations for what we could achieve was superb ….. Ciaran is always on hand for any queries or questions and is always quick to respond ….. overall the experience with Ciaran and his team at The Big Picture has been excellent …. the audiovisual performance delivered by his recommended setup (which includes components from the likes of Monitor Audio, Denon, Sony) truly transforms a normal functioning family living room into a home theatre experience literally at the touch of a button thanks to the Control 4 system that he also installed for us …… delivering on our brief fully Ciaran has created a living room / home theatre that is a sanctuary for me and my love of film that at the touch of a button can return to a normal living room and central hub for family living ….. It's a testament to what can be achieved when high-quality components and expert advice and installation come together to create something special ….. I would highly recommend Ciaran and The Big Picture”
“My 5 year old specifically requested Toni for her birthday party after really enjoying one of Toni's adventures at a friend's party. We had a different theme, and it was lovely to see the kids running around the garden, so engaged and using their imaginations. Toni provided a craft activity and fun mix of games. Everyone had a really great time. Would definitely recommend!”
“Excellent service, really good knowledge on electricals, purchased a Toshiba Wi-Fi microwave and grill in one, quality item and they beat Ao’s price, superb 5*”
“Great fun, really welcoming and no experience required. Dean was great, encouraging but not pushing anyone to do anything they didn't want to do. Everyone acts every day in real life (sure that Shakespeare said something about that) so why not make it fun! Every Thursday (bar school holidays) with the first lesson being free. What do you have to lose!”
“Perfect party solution for my 7 year old. Top quality magic to entertain children and parents, with the addition of party games, dancing, balloon modelling meant for a truly stress-free party, where we could enjoy the kids enjoying themselves and enjoy being in awe at the magic. Plus, Magic Bob is a really, really nice guy and a pleasure to have in your home. Thoroughly recommend.”
“We used the basement space at the GAP for a workshop. The space was lovely and the staff made us feel really welcome. We would definitely recommend and return if we are in Birmingham again!”
“This was an amazing time we came to watch hi da hi and was delighted to see you all will come again soon”
“Not been here for a while but it turned out be a excellent night's entertainment. The Sound of Simon is a wonderful tribute band dedicated to to the music of Simon and Garfunkel. The first half of the show is mainly the early hits of the duo.Songs like Mrs Robnson and Bridge over Troubled Waters which were high quality renditions of the originals.Shut your eyes and your truly back in the 60s it was that good. The second set concentrated on the duos solo careers such as songs like Bright Eyes and You can call me Al. Once again truly wonderful versions. The oncore was caped by the haunting Sound of Silence ,sheer magic..This is live music at its, very best. The Therate it's self holds around 125 people, has comfortable seats and a great Sound system. A decent little bar and ample parking makes this an amazing night out.Very reasonable prices too for both drink and the concert. It's a must visit venue I shall be back again very soon.”
“We attended “Don’t dress for dinner” yesterday. The quality of acting and staging was stunning. I have no idea how a group of amateur people could achieve such a professional performance. Many congratulations to everyone involved in this production.”
“I have known Clive for many years, his passion and professionalism is second to none. He is generous with his time and I have learnt a lot from him which in turn has helped me with my own show. Clive’s Punch and Judy is world famous and it’s always a highlight to watch it at Covent Garden May Fayre each year. I’ve also seen Clive’s Jack and the Beanstalk show at a school in Birmingham and was highly impressed, it’s really like a puppet pantomime.”
“Excellent place with lots on offer. DVDs, toys, adult cinema with great films showing and a lap dancer! Spend the afternoon there it's worth it.”
