“Hello, I would sincerely like to commend your staff driver "kev" I was in a real pickle, I had purchased a very heavy fireplace from a residential property, I was on my own and I could never had lifted it!!! I stepped outside the property to see if there was anyone to help me, and I saw the Travis Perkins van, and kev was amazing he spent 20 mins helping me, getting it out of the property and into my car. “Went on Saturday with my severe needle phobia (long history) daughter who desperately wanted her belly button pierced. We’ve been somewhere else where it was a no go. Called The Maxx after hearing good things about them. Popped in at told to do, Wow (I think it was Tash) was amazing, so understanding, patient and caring, talked and explained everything to my daughter, told her we’ll go your speed when your ready, it took 3 attempts but she did it, my daughter was crying with joy. Tash and the team you are fantastic and I can’t thank you enough. One very happy daughter !!”

“Lovely little Thai restaurant tucked away in the countryside. Went with friends on a Monday & it was almost fully booked! Staff are lovely, food was absolutely delicious. We shared a few dishes between us but the duck curry & seabass with ginger were my standouts. Can’t wait to go back!”

“The food here is excellent & in my opinion very good value. Service is also brilliant. If you find you have eyes bigger than your stomach ask for the remainder to be boxed up & take it with you. All meals are ordered from menus with a varied choice. The room we gad was spacious; luxurious & comfortable. Tea & coffee in the room. Very large bathroom. View over the river was stunning. Thank you our stay was very pleasant & would return here again.”

“Libby was very warm, attentive and very polite. The breakfast was very enjoyable. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, some people were wearing their pyjamas and doing their make up. The music was at the right level where we could have a conversation without being drowned out. The pub was clean, tidy and very well set up. The manager came in after to help shuffle some chairs which was nice to see, she even made the effort to have a lovely chat. Overall a very good experience and I look forward in visiting again. The staff are an asset to the pub.”

“Don’t pass this place by. It may seem odd; what is it? A cafe or a Gym? Do they sell kitchens? Actually found it to serve incredibly tasty food at very reasonable prices. Just had a superb lunch there (open sourdough Thai satay vegan chicken thing) and despite the town being busy, there were plenty of tables. I hope more people discover this place; it deserves your support.”

“What can i say about our wedding here on 29th July 2022..wow ..amazing. magical..best day of our lives..we booked 2 years ago and due to covid it was pushed back..during this time the hotel had new management and we had seen a couple of negative comments so called and asked for a meeting..all our worries were talked through and we were put at ease..then we booked an appt to meet the new wedding planner pippa 2 weeks before the wedding and knew instantly that she was totally on the ball..she did not let us down her communication was fantastic and she did everything possible to make our day so special..we had no hiccups and everything ran like clockwork. The only slight niggle would be the queue for the bar but we did have a large wedding so maybe at the next large wedding another bar team member would help..but all in all our day was perfect and we wouldn't change a single minute of it. The team worked so hard and made our day special. Thank you to all the staff”
