“I had a great time learning how to make jewellery from silver. The teacher, Jonathan, was friendly and patient, teaching us all of the required skills using copper first, before we switched to silver. I was really pleased with the silver thumb ring I made, and I've had lots of compliments about it! I would recommend to anyone wanting to learn how to make jewellery with silver.”
“We had THE BEST time making our wedding rings with Elizabeth. It was a really brilliant experience. Everything was explained really well to us (both having no jewellery making experience) and the rings we made far exceeded our expectations. We are so happy to have something so personal and unique to wear for the rest of our lives. Can’t thank Elizabeth enough and would highly recommend this workshop!”
“This university is a great place to study with friendly teachers and a positive environment and approach to teaching.”
“I had the most wonderful time making pottery with Libby at the studio! Chris was also lovely when I was checking for details and accommodations to book. Highly recommend and looking forward to going back!”
“we had an absolutely fabulous afternoon at the chocolate quarter. With ages ranging from 11 to 78 it was something we could all enjoy. It was also excellent value for money, not only did we get to take out own boxes of chocolate at home the prosecco and chocolate fondue at the end was a lovely surprise. thank you very much for being wonderful hosts and looking after my crazy family.”
“Today my sis and I went to the staking rings workshop. I have been wanting to go to this workshop for so many years and I should have gone sooner. It was absolutely amazing!! Aimee and Anne were both absolutely great teachers. Very clear explanations. Very patient, encouraging and supportive. They both created a relaxed environment, encouraging us to try all sorts of patterns and the results were stunning! Each participant created gorgeous rings, everyone was having a good time. The atmosphere was great! I cannot wait to go back to this workshop to create more stacking rings and join their other workshops (bangle, single ring, earrings)”
“I had a brilliant week at SOMJ learning level 1 skills required for jewellery making. It was a privilege to be taught and nurtured by our tutor, Sam, who is incredibly skilled, patient and supportive. Cassandra was also on hand to share tips, provide support, giggles and join in our group chit chat. The studio is well equipped, clean and bright. Everyone in our group was amazing and friendly; I was gutted when the week was over! Thank you Cassie, Sam and my training buddies for a wonderful week learning :)”
“Great day out for my birthday! We went not expecting much but it was a lovely small museum. We were able to make our own pen nibs included in the price of the ticket and we're gifted another functional one to take home. The shop had pens your could buy at very reasonable prices. Great for older and younger kids. 50% discount for art fund members (this is only £10 a year as a student)!!”
“Evie has done 2 piercings for me and I couldn't be happier! She is so reassuring and friendly. I wouldn't want anyone else to carry out my piercings.”
“We made our wedding rings at Enki with Dora yesterday and it was such a great experience. She was so enthusiastic and thorough, even when we ended up being there quite late, her energy didn't waiver. She was so supportive in ensuring we got exactly what we hoped for. The class was so detailed, we could tell she is highly skilled and knowledgeable and felt completely confident being guided by her. The workshop space is pretty and cute with lots of interesting tools. I'd highly recommend this experience as part of your wedding and future marriage, it made it that extra but more special and personal. They also bought us flowers, tea and cakes which was a lovely touch. Thank you Dora and Enki, we cannot wait to see the final result.”
“Very nice little shop i found around the corner to me staff there is very lovely you can get everything you are looking for in there”
“I had an important parcel go missing from my property and I was very upset by this. COOKSON were very kind and empathetic and they arranged for me to have another one sent out as the courier wrongfully signed my name and put somewhere I did not specify. The customer service I have received from cookson has always been 10/10, especially Becky who is THE Foredom queen(she knows her stuff) she helped advise me, choose the best stuff within my budget and made me feel really at ease with no pressure to buy anything! She talked through finance options for me and i really cannot thank her enough. I can't wait to receive my goods finally so I can get creating! THANKYOU cooksongold for everything.”
“I booked this experience for my sister, my niece and myself and it was awesome!!!! It made me appreciate the effort that goes into making just a basic banded ring. Kate is a great teacher and makes sure you're comfortable with each step to making your gorgeous silver ring!”
“Such amazing customer service. My first package got lost in the post and they were swift to get another one made and sent, despite issues communicating over email. When I rang to make a query about the order they explained everything clearly and patiently. I would highly recommend.”

“If you need anything textiles, craft, fabric and everything else from materials to buttons this is the place to be. Staff are friendly, helpful and willing to get anything off a shelf that you can’t reach if you are hobbit sized :-). Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of all the merchandise is second to none. Top quality shop with top quality products and above all top quality staff. This is the place to be.”
“The only local (6 miles) that sold the small enamel pots of Airfix type paint by me, well done for keeping these paints in stock,”
“Totally professional team. Teach you about the origins of the gems. Fascinating! Total quality. Also bought a perfume which I never buy without smelling it... it's divine. Everything they said it was.”
“I had a lovely time this afternoon. Mom and I went to the restaurant/cafe. The food was lovely, and the staff were very helpful. I had a cake to go, with I had at home with a nice cup of tea. My mother and I also bought some very nice chocolates from the on-site chocolate tear. I also enjoy seeing all glass objects at the glass blowing shop, the ceramics at the pottery shop, and some inspiration art in the art and craft shop. All in all, it was a very enjoyable afternoon.”
“Great experience with Mathew, very patient and helpful. A lovely way to spend a few hours with my wife.”
“Pippa is a professional jeweller and gifted teacher, aware of the problems beginners might have. The project is broken down into simple steps which she demonstrates and, no messing around, she showed us how professional jewellers work. She gave us tiny hints from her experience that make a huge difference! She checked that everyone (small class sizes) was able to manage each technique, giving advice and helping where required. She also made her own piece at the same time, so we could see how it should be made, and so each step was given appropriate time. The finished piece is something to be proud of, even if, in my case, I was a bit shaky on some techniques! The studio is pleasant and the tools new and of good quality. Pippa is very friendly and easy to approach, (and her dog is lovely)! I can't praise this course enough.”
“Fantastic, helpful, great community feel, supportive and friendly”
“I had a lovely experience with Belinda Terry. They were very helpful and friendly. They remade a bracelet for me that had been lost and made an exact replica of it! Would recommend!”
