“Emilia our server was very good, engaging and friendly. Food was reasonable, it was quite quiet which was a surprise but 2 weeks before Christmas maybe just that people had been out for lunch instead. The sharing dessert was very good.”

“We took some friends here as we had been previously and had an amazing experience and time, so thought we would share with some more friends who travelled from Stoke on Trent. We were all absolutely delighted and the staff team delivered outstanding customer service, we were met and greeted by Leah and Natasha who are lovely ladies and what great senses of humour! Guy, Harry and the Chef Jay and Ahmed took exceptional care of the 6 of us. The menu has an excellent array of choices and we had deep fried onion rings and cheesy garlic bread the best we’ve ever tasted. The Bacon chop, cottage pie and chicken parmigiana were quite simply delicious and excellent value for money and we all tried something different and we all agreed it was worth the journey from Stoke on Trent. One of our group bought some chocolates as we were leaving but they were gone by the time we arrived home! Thanks to Guy and the team who made our visit perfect nothing was too much trouble and they all went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed! We shall definitely be back! An outstanding customer service experience in such an iconic setting we shall definitely return!”

“Afternoon tea as a birthday treat all arranged by my son who lives in Australia. A perfect afternoon for my sister (who was in on the treat) and myself. Good choice of sandwiches, savouries, and cakes. Very pretty crockery, as much tea as we wanted. The service was excellent. We bought some of the cake home as there was so much. We have been here before and will certainly go again. As an added extra, my son arranged for a bouquet of flowers to be delivered during our tea.”

“We had our Christmas party here last night at the Christmas party night - and that it was. The whole night was fantastic - from being greeted on the car park to the amazing meal to the bar, the staff, the disco - it was all fabulous. The team were so professional and attentive, a real credit to The School House . The meal - wow, everyone commented on how beautiful the meal was. The disco - great music, great dj- really got the party going. We all had such a lovely night. On behalf of us all thank you for the best Christmas party we’ve had, we will definitely see you next year”

“We hired the private dining room at The Boat for my Mum’s 60th birthday meal. We all had a Sunday roast with starter and dessert. From the initial email booking enquiry with Mitchell, right through to the end of the big day everything was exceptional. The service was super attentive and friendly, the food was delicious and creative, and we enjoyed pre and post meal drinks in their beautiful and sunny garden. I would not hesitate to go back there again for a special occasion or a date night treat. Big thanks to all the staff for making my Mum’s birthday extra special.”

“We have an annual meal here and it couldn’t be a more ideal setting. The food is beautiful and the staff are always accommodating of our ‘loud’ family and theatrics. The French onion soup was the best, but this has been overtaken by the pate this year (2025). Go at Christmas”

“I went here for the first time on Friday and had an absolute blast. The food and drinks were unreal (and generous portions!) and every single staff member was SO friendly. I have a 5 month old puppy so I’m always wary of places that claim to be ‘dog friendly’ but this place was great and there were plenty of other happy dogs having a great time with their owners too. I’ll definitely be back and making my way through both the food menu and drinks menu!”

“The food was absolutely delicious, we came for my partners parents birthdays/retirement dinner. I had the crab arancini and was absolutely blown away, I can confidently say it was the best arancini I’ve ever had. The filet steak was superb, as a chef myself, it was cooked to perfection. Sadly I only snapped two photos of the food I had however, the pizzas are incredibly big and fresh! No complaints from the nine of us dined together. The liquor “safe” has an exquisite range and honestly wish I lived locally as I’d visit weekly!”

“Called ahead first to ask about bringing three of my service users (one learning disabilities and two complex needs). Couldn't be more helpful on the phone. Even suggested we could have a table in the quietest area. Once there, the staff were amazing. Extremely helpful, courteous and couldn't do enough to make sure our people were comfortable and stress free. Took the guys names so the bills didn't get confused and allowed us as much time as we needed at the table. Mitchell and Aaron, you were both brilliant and a credit to the pub. Thankyou both and we will definitely be back soon”

“Today we went to the fabulous Spa for the Fire and Ice Experience. Been taking friends and family here for ages for special occasions and always love it. But today’s a shout out for the Brabazon Bar, where we go after for drinks and a chat and a lovely bite to eat. The staff here are so welcoming and friendly. “It truly is the Home Of The Carvery, and Shenstone is lucky to have this particular restaurant on its doorstep. Why? Because the staff are so friendly, the food is so well cooked, and following the recent refurbishment the restaurant is warm, cosy and very welcoming. My little girl loves it here, and it’s a great way to get her eating healthily. Ellie and the rest of the crew always make us feel at home. Highly recommend, and it’s not expensive either. Just get the app!!”

“Went for a large family lunch for my daughters birthday. There were 19 of us so we pre ordered, the kids food cane out in minutes and the adults wasnt far behind. Everyone was very helpful and there were no issues at all. Never have any problems here and the food is always well cooked, would recommend.”

“Tried this place for the first time. Ordered online and collected in the allotted time. We were very pleased with the quality of the food. It wasn't greasy and didn't get that horrible full up feeling afterwards. Tbh the crispy shredded chilli beef was the best we've ever had. Every piece was crispy and stayed crispy. Everthing was very tasty. Would definitely recommend. One thing I would say is the crispy duck could do with more spring onion and sauce as you get loads of pancakes and duck. The ratios seem a bit out.”

“Absolutely fabulous breakfasts. Presentation very good. I like the fact that the baked beans are served in a tiny saucepan! And they're nice & hot. Very good quality food. Very friendly & helpful staff. Coffee lovely, as is the Latte. Nothing too much trouble for the staff, & always got a smile on their faces. A very popular pub. We'll be using it more frequently from now on.”
