“[The picture was taken the day after getting the tattoo.] I was tattooed by Zoe, we had such a great time chatting while she tattooed me. When we were starting with just the stencil, she moved it as many times as I asked, until I was completely happy with it and checked multiple times before permanently inking me. I was able to ask for shading on the tattoo where I wanted it and she was more than happy to do that. When I was conflicted about if I wanted any more on the front legs she reminded me that I am given a free touch up a month later so if I don't love it I can make some minor changes then. My tattoo is healing incredibly well, there has been no redness and no soreness, it already 2 weeks later feels like it has been here forever. The tattoo studio is incredibly well kept, very clean with visible hand washing stations and hand sanitizer everywhere, clingfilm is used to keep everything highly sterile. The needles are unpacked in front of you meaning you have full confidence that they are sterile and the area on your skin is fully sanitised before tattooing. I highly recommend this tattoo studio and if I ever have the courage/want for more dinosaurs I will 100% be going back to Iron Tiger Studios and Zoe.”

“The main thing I learned today going to Folklore and meeting Marie is there are massive differences from a decent artist and a passionate one, I’ve got about 40 overall and most I’m happy with, few were a bit amateur but that is what happens if you don’t locate a good artist. Every artist I’ve met will do what I say, whilst I like the designs I chose, I’m not creative and don’t have an eye for potential, Marie is proactive and will use what you give her to make the best piece possible and more importantly won’t sacrifice quality for the sake of adding things in. Pricing is very good although I left feeling guilty that a 3 hour session was closer to 5, but there wasn’t any rushing or mention and she’s amazingly through on detail prior, during and after as well, something very few if any studios care about enough, especially after care. She’s a very thoughtful person that puts the client first. In terms of experience, I’d randomly found her, 2 WhatsApp convos and that was it, but this place is special and if it’s your first tattoo I’d say this is the perfect place to, it’s like walking into a friends house, very comfy, chilled out and with funky decor and art. If you’re lucky you meet Jack who’s a beautiful soul. Chatted whole way through, time flew by, ambiance is great, different to what you’d maybe expect but for a younger person who might find studious intimidating, this is the best place/person you could go to. Very high standards of cleanliness to, I could go on but it’s easier to just say it’s faultless. Thoroughly enjoyable experience, will be returning for many more, she’s the kinda person who deserves good things to happen to her! Ridiculously talented and a genuinely passionate and caring person, if you’re looking around for an artist in this area, I’d confidently put my house on the fact you sit get an overall better experience anywhere else. “Marni is a phenomenal tattoo artist. Extremely friendly, approachable and talented. I came to Marni to help build my sleeve tattoo and add a few others along the way. She blew me away with how talented she was not only at drawing but actually piecing together small creations which I didn’t even know I wanted or needed. Marni has a great eye for detail and is able to take something copied and change it into something very personalised and unique. Her technique works well for me as she can create something beforehand but also draw and add on the go. She’s good with her timings. The reason for approaching Marni was due to previous tattoo artists taking unnecessary endless hours to create small pieces.”

“Absolutely fantastic service. My daughter went for her third peircing in her ears. She unfortunately has a condition called syncope. This means she can zone out or faint under stress. The lady was so kind, caring and patient. The piercing went with no issue however my daughter felt light headed in the aftermath. The lady helped me and lightened the mood . I honestly can not sing there praises enough. After care was easier than any other time we had piercings and other establishments. Just Absolutely wonderful”

“Wonderful experience as soon as you walk in the door. Got there a little early and Claire greeted me and offered refreshments, as she continued to do throughout the day. The rest of the guys and girls working there are warm, friendly and very welcoming and easy to talk to. Studio is a lovely, clean open plan space that makes the most of the old building and good for socialising. Onto the work: Marcus is a master of his craft. I can honestly offer no higher praise, he helped me from initial design inception and along with Nick helped me pick the best location and positioning for my tattoo on the day. I'll always listen to the artist and I'm so glad I did because it means it was spread across a larger surface area of my arm and will be good to show off once it heals. The colour is beautiful and packed in really well, and I felt comfortable all day. If you want an anime tattoo, or any that explode with colour, Marcus is definitely worth hitting up. He also provided me some great advice and all the tools I need for the aftercare. Thank you to all for making me feel welcome and keeping me occupied during a long day; it's has been 10 years since my last tattoo and just felt natural even though it's the longest single session I've ever had so far. “What a great day x i’ve just had an amazing tattoo by the very talented jinx!!! After leaving a gap of 26 years between tattoos as you can imagine, I was very nervous. Jinx put me at ease as soon as I walk through the door. With a friendly welcome and an offer of a cup of coffee.. jinxed took me through the process one step at a time. She put me at ease with the most amazing design which was better than I ever dreamt it could be. My daughter had warned me that I needed to take entertainment with me due to it being an all day sitting. The iPad was left in my bag all day as myself and jinx put the world to rights and never stop talking. Jinx could read her customer well she was able to tell when they needed a break. I personally don’t think jinx really understands how amazing her art work is it’s incredible. The tattoo studio was clean, warm and friendly There’s a group of staff There that make you feel at home and more importantly at ease. All that’s left to say is a big thanks to jinx you’re truly amazing and as Schwarzenegger would say I’ll be back xxx”
