“We visited today for my daughter’s birthday and Dan and his team are amazing. They were friendly and efficient, double checking all orders, and checking we were all happy. It was so lovely to feel so relaxed and to see a team that is clearly well led by Dan. I’ve always loved zizzis but this experience sets it leagues above other restaurants in Solihull. “Always had good experience at this Nandos - especially since the refurb. Chicken is never dry and restaurant is clean. Also found, compared to other branches, they’re very organised and make a big effort to get everyone seated as soon as possible. Fatima (manager) especially adds to the experience. Always friendly and goes above and beyond for all customers. Also, she always remembers my nut allergy and double checks with me.”

It is BYO so that means you can bring your favourite wine or beer along which is a major plus for craft beer drinkers like me. We will definitely be visiting again.”

The Vada Pav was the highlight for me—perfectly spiced, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It’s easily my favorite item here! A special mention to the restaurant manager, Mr. Omkar, who was very warm and welcoming. He personally served us and made sure we had everything we needed. Not just taking our orders but generally making conversation and helping us to feel as though our custom mattered. Food was crazy delicious! Had the Chicken Palka which was divine. “Really lovely lunch one day and brunch on another over the weekend. Food is well cooked, presented and tasty. Varied and interesting food and drinks menus. Average ‘gastropub’ prices. Staff really friendly. Great outdoor space and a large pergola with fire and ping pong table (noticed they also have tv presumably for sports and hire the pergola out for parties). Weird thing to say on a review but appreciated nice and clean toilets with free sanitary products in the ladies in case you’re caught short. Small thoughtful gestures like this are always a winner imo.”

“My 17 year old son finished work at 10.55pm tonight and popped to Tom Li to get a takeaway on his way home. Unfortunately he walked out leaving his wallet on the chair containing his whole week’s wages. Before he had even got home in a taxi Tom Li had turned up at my house in Solihull, after finding his driving license in his wallet, and returned it to him with absolutely everything in there! An absolutely lovely man and so nice to see there’s good honest people out there. Thank you!”

“Had a lovely long awaited catch up with friends today we all agree that Desco has a lovely friendly and comfortable atmosphere. I had the tapas board and it was lovely the patatas bravos especially good. Staff were very friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble which is a 10/10.”

“A great place to visit for drinks and food. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. On this particular occasion we went for Sunday lunch, the portion sizes are very generous and well presented. The only disappointing thing was the roast potatoes. Normally they have been excellent, but on this occasion, we found them to be a little bit dry. Fortunately this didn't determine from the rest of the meal which was very good.”

“Very impressive restaurant. We love our food from the east but this has recently taken it to another level. I went for a friends birthday party and all I can say is if you want to impress someone with a look of a place this is where you need to be. The food was incredible I think this is probably as authentic as you will get, everything is fresh and the vast range of starters and main courses were amazing. The food was fresh delicious and the waiters were incredible. They explained what the dishes were they were very thorough with relation to allergies as a friend was allergic to a few items however the Restaraunt was fantastic. Starters came out on time hot delicious and enough to feed a group of hungry ladies! The mains were incredible I have to admit the best I’ve tasted. Parking was ok as you can park in the centre car park which is joined with tesco this was ideal as straight after the meal I got to buy a few baby essentials which was very convenient. Overall I can’t believe the amazing work of however designed this place and thought the colours and atmosphere is amazing. Highly recommend.”

“I still remember coming to this little place when it first opened many moons ago. The people were as lovely as I remember them to be and the food was spot on. The schnitzel was perfectly done and the chips were golden and crispy. The bratwurst roll was also amazing and a perfect afternoon snack. If you’re ever in the area, highly recommend checking out this hidden gem and give our local businesses a bit of extra support.”
