“Brunch was fantastic here. Food was great as well as drinks. We opted for the bottomless drinks, but as the restaurant was extremely busy was a little slow with topping us up but understandable. Friend’s steak wasn’t great but was replaced immediately. Other than that, food was so good we returned the next day before heading back home.”
“Lovely coffee at a very reasonable price, this place is located brilliantly right opposite the kids play park and at the start of the walk through stanmer park itself. We tend to grab a cuppa when walking the dog. Easy recommendation to others”
“Excellent handmade baby clothes boutique shop. Nice selection of fabric design choices.”
“‘Just go brazy, I think...’ - A.H.”
“Great experience today - me and my sister did the Stacking Rings Workshop and made 3 rings each. Mat was a great tutor - the right mix of letting us own the end to end process, so that it really was our work we took home, but also helping where needed! Defo recommend - and a great gift idea!”
“Fantastic pizza and great service ! Would definitely recommend and will be going again”
“This time we tried the choripán with spicy chimichurri – it was amazing! We also grabbed two alfajores de maicena to go. This place is a must-stop if you're in Brighton.”
“A most delicious pizzeria, which is a paradise for vegans. We walked around the nice city. A family of vegans, with children. Oregano was an excellent option for lunch. The restaurant opened just as we arrived, and we waited a bit for them to sort it out. The owner was nice to us the whole time. We ordered a margherita pizza for the kids. The adults shared a mushroom pizza and an oregano salad with sun-dried tomatoes and walnuts. The food was perfect, the service excellent. We have really enjoyed.”
“I’m yet to try one of the cinnamon buns (they look great) but I know I love the coffee and the relaxing space to work or just watch the world go by which is kept immaculately clean. The new guy working there also has really positive energy and the other staff I’ve spoken to are also lovely!”
“For me this is the definition of a hidden gem, a nice, quiet, unassuming cafe with a very homely feeling. Every time we visit, it feels like we're back in Japan. Everything is homemade, tasty but also healthy. We always have something savoury and sweet because we don't want to miss out and the matcha late is also great.”
“A wonderful shop with an extensive range of art equipment, fantastic books and beautiful greetings cards It’s a lovely place to browse and get inspiration too The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. A great asset to the community of Fiveways and worth a trip if you live further away”
“Ordered two pizzas from papa stefano’s, and they were both delicious and fresh. Only criticism would be more pineapple on the Hawaiian pizza. Would defo recommend and will defo be returning.”
“We walked into the Riverside, a place with lots of shops and eating places init and we chanced upon Bubble and Bao. We went for the pork buns, chicken tonkatsu, chicken teriyaki Bao bun and what looked like Salmon sushi roll. Oooommmmgggg. So good, pork broth was tasty but could have done with a bit more depth but after seasoning up with some chilli crunch and Soy sauce and ginger it was delicious and with the kombu it was really an interesting flavour. The rest was just amazing. Sushi is prepared after you order it and I'm pretty sure the pork buns were made out of delicious Clouds. I'm so going to try and get back there for the grilled Eel and anything else I can next week.”
“A warm and friendly atmosphere. Peter the pastor led a short service about the events leading up to Easter. I came away with food for thought. The coffee and hot cross buns were great too”
“Hi so I had an enquiry about my Dog and as he’s on antibiotics I needed to get some info and products that would help boost his immunity and gut health. I spoke to a very knowledgeable lady called Poppy and she was so informative and helpful along with a very friendly attitude . I got some immunity powder from Lysiphar and he’s now started this along with pre and probiotics . Thank you to Poppy for taking such good time and attention to us .”
“Lovely spot with such a serene atmosphere. Delicious coffee too!”
“Simple neighbourhood joint with yummy banana walnut bread and delish coffee. Chill place to sip your coffee while people or dog watching.”
“Deffo. One of the best cafes around Brighton. Happy and chill vibes all day and people there are so friendly. Also a great place for studying, reading etc.”
“Ate here on a whim, left feeling like a new person. This pizza is phenomenal, the crust was pillow soft, and every bite sent me to a different plane of existence. I will be thinking about this pizza for a long time. Some of the best in England by far.”
“My favourite cafe, fully recommend!!! Food is very tasty and the menu is exciting. The staff are all absolutely lovely, especially Tyler who is so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. I come here when I am working from home in the area, I usually stay here for the day and have breakfast, lunch and coffees. There is good wifi and free parking outside. Can’t fault it and I’m looking forward to my next visit!”
“A really lovely restaurant that a friend and I visited Saturday lunchtime. We went for the set lunch menu. My friend is Slovak and really enjoyed the chicken schnitzel. I am vegetarian so went for halloumi burger. We also had a large salad bowl (50% discount with a main meal). . I do think they need to increase the vegetarian choices in the set menu because that was a bit restricted. However, I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here.”
“Oh my word - we popped in last night before the cinema for a bite to eat and wow wow wow. It was so delicious! We shared mushroom and truffle arancini balls which were so so tasty, as well as Sicilian hot dogs and cheesy chips. We also had a sweet treat each after - I hade a pistachio sfogliatelle and my hubby had a white chocolate puff and the whole lot was just absolutely delicious! We will be gong back asap! It was also lovely to sit just outside in the beautiful evening sunshine!”
“Lovely coffee and hot chocolate. One of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had, not only does it look presentable, it tastes incredible. Clean and well decorated. Also a bonus that dogs are allowed in! Thank you :)”
“Amazing food (highly recommend the Italian toastie), amazing iced coffees and amazing cakes to top it all off. Great location in the heart of the lanes with a wonderful atmosphere, super quick friendly service, couldn’t recommend more”
“I love it here. Such a beautiful place. Gorgeous decor and attention to detail such as the crockery used. The food is very tasty. We had quiche and salads which were delicious. A good selection of tasty breakfast and brunch options. Perhaps a little on the pricey side but still reasonable and worth it for the quality and overall experience I would say.”
“We loved this restaurant. Bruschetta to start, salmon with brandy and artichoke cream sauce, seafood risotto. Shared a banoffee pie and finished with coffee. Service great, music just right. Look forward to visiting again. Really easy paid car park at the rear £1.70 for 2 hours. Beware steps to reach the restaurant. £73 including tip.”
“Another banging cafe in Brighton, with some of the best coffee beans if you are on the hunt. Speciality coffee made well, but the flavour and complexity of the coffee itself makes this place a gem. The vibes are always good, especially when the sun is out and people are fighting over a seat on the little benches out front - they are perfect for soaking in the sun and the huddle and bustle of Brighton on the weekend. Seating inside is a little more rustic, opting for a more mis-matched vintage style. It’s comfy and cosy, great for chilling. (Heads up, not really a cafe to work in though, there’s no wifi) The selection of cakes and bakes is not what Bond Street focuses on, but the addition of bite sized cakes to pair with the coffee is fab. Nothing stand out, but the perfect little sweet treat to complement a great cup of coffee. Try dunking! All in all, Bond Street has some of the best coffee in Brighton. Whether they make the best cup is down to preference I guess, but the beans - fab.”
“Nice place where you can enjoy your time sitting inside or outside. Small menu what in my opinion equals to fresh ingredients, also the pizza dough was really good, we all really liked it, however I think the best part of it was the staff friendliness. The restaurant is located in a quiet area, so if you want to go out and chill a bit alone, with family or friends, I highly recommend it.”
“I tried the Asian Fusion and Veggie Supreme pizzas, both served on a thin, crispy crust and freshly baked in the fire oven. The shakes are thick, creamy, and full of flavour, made fresh to order with quality ingredients. Whether you choose a classic or something indulgent like Nutella or Biscoff, they are the perfect sweet finish to your meal, and the prices are very reasonable too.”
“Ok. Let’s start saying that I went to this place with very little expectation to find Sicilian street food, contrary wise this place exceeded my expectations. A precious little place in duke street that stand out for all the competitors in the street. I went safe for coffee and cake and it was ever so good that I decided to have an arancino al pistacchio after, and I was literally transported to Sicily with the flavours of the food. At the exit I managed to compliment myself with Davide the owner of the place, which was exquisite. His passion is clearly expressed into the food and the attention to details. I would not hesitate to come back for a coffee and cake, quick or long lunch, an aperitivo or a nice traditional unique Sicilian meal out. Ideal for everyone, from kids to adult and wheelchair friendly with ground floor access and tables. The unpretentiousness of this place makes it ideal for a solo meal as well as a romantic date to impress. Sicilian typical product also available to buy at the counter....not to be missed the “Crema al pistacchio”. In conclusion, this place is a must go either if you are Italian or not, and you will easily spot why is second to none. So far the best “arancini” in Brighton.”
