“I've lived in South India on and off for 30 years and when I'm back here, have always missed proper southern food. I've even travelled to Croydon just to eat idli when the missing has got too bad. These people make extravagantly good proper southern food. If you know this food, I guarantee you that here you've found the real thing. If you've never tried it, get in and eat! My favourites.....vada with a cup of tea in the afternoon; idli sambar for brunch with a side of coconut sambal; string hoppers and chickpea curry for teatime; paratha and chicken lollipop as late night munch.”

“We came to Efes on a whim and what a great decision that was. Efes is easily the most authentic and lovely experience we've had in Worthing. Our server Ali was attentive throughout. We will definitely be returning and I would recommend the experience to anyone. The food was incredible, to the point where we took home leftovers and argued between us over whose dish was best (we couldn't decide! Both were amazing!). A 10/10 experience - the kind where if someone who was visiting Worthing asked me where I'd recommend for dinner, I would say Efes.”

“We did the bottomless brunch with Szymon aka shimmy!! What a brilliant time we had. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left he was attentive and made us feel like the only people in the bar despite the bar being full of Christmas parties. Would thoroughly recommend the bottomless brunch and Harlequins especially if served by Szymon!”

“Love it here. The food is well priced and consistently fantastic. The service is always warm and friendly, and the atmosphere is great both inside and out, with elevated views of the beach, the Steyne, and Brighton in the distance, which makes it especially nice in the summer. It’s authentic and locally owned too. Highly recommend!”

“Friendly and efficient customer service. Food is always delicious and served swiftly. Some of my personal favorites are: the whole chicken with peri peri fries, the chicken strips with sweet potatoes fries or rice and finally the Supreme wrap. They also have a great breakfast menu and fantastic coffee. Went once and became a regular!”

“Hands down the best Bulgarian meal I’ve had outside of Bulgaria. Went to Donchevi Kitchen & Bar today with my other half for lunch. As I’m from Bulgaria, I always wanted to share my cuisine but previous attempt have not been successful due to lack of quality original Bulgarian ingredients or chef abilities. This restaurant on the other hand tasted like home. We had kufteta, shopska salad, mousakka, parlenka and chips with Bulgarian cheese. Everything was not only authentic but also delicious. I loved it so much I had to ask for takeaway bag to take some home. I definitely recommend the restaurant to both Bulgarians and to everyone keen to try something different which they will enjoy. My partner is a bit picky with their food as they are British and tend to go with Italian food or British but they loved it too.”

“The brother running this kitchen was very kind and friendly, and did an excellent job with the food and drinks, the meat was succulent fresh and tasty, it was spiced so well it far exceeded my expectations. The lamb burger was perhaps the best lamb burger I have had, and coming from London where we have many great examples of south Asian foods this is saying something. The desi chai was very tasty. Muslims rest assured everything sold here is halal inshallah. This place is my new go to when in Worthing, and I will be sure to tell others about this gem, thank you Lahore Grill!”

Michael made our visit special and engadged with my 3 year old neice making her visit fun. Overall the escape bar I would rate higher then 5 stars if I could”

“I recently visited this Sri Lankan restaurant in Worthing and had the most incredible dining experience. I tried their Koththu and Biriyani, and both dishes were exceptional, bursting with authentic flavors and perfectly cooked. The hospitality was outstanding; the staff including Kugan and Sampath were so friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to experience amazing Sri Lankan cuisine!”

“A massive thank you for making my 60th last night so special (Nov 2nd, 2024). I've been going to this amazing pub since my 20's and more often in my mid 40's with my daughter and her crew. Good times were had & great memories were made. When asked what I wanted to do for my 60th, JB's was the obvious choice. I wasn't disappointed! This little pub hasn't changed in 40 years! Proper traditional pub. The staff are awesome! The barman even remembered me from 16/17 years ago! It was like 'going home'. Thank you to the staff and everyone, especially the new friends we made, for making my birthday so special! ❤️”

“Had a great meal here last night, food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. Chloe was very attentive to our needs and made sure we had everything we needed. The garden was large with plenty of seating and the pub welcomes dogs.”

“A crowd of us visited for Sunday lunch and had a great time. Most of us had the Sunday lunch which was enjoyed by us all - tasty and plentiful. The other food ordered was just as good. The girl who served (forget her name unfortunately) us was lovely - friendly and helpful. Only downside was lack of real ales choices. 4 pumps and only 2 in use - and one serving the ubiquitous bland Doom Bar. That said we all had a great time and would definitely return”

“Amazing food I have been using their takeaway for years when they were based in Shoreham. When they moved to Worthing, I was very excited to enjoy their food in their very well decorated restaurant. They still deliver to Shoreham as well which is perfect for those lazy evenings. The staff are wonderful and treat everyone like family, they are happy to change dishes to your preferences and dietary requirements, lovely big portions and always delicious they even bring it out on a little cart, so you get all your food at once. I recommend this restaurant that wants to try real Indian cuisine. This restaurant will always be my go-to Indian even if its just for a takeaway.”

“Came here after me, my dad, and my brother couldn’t decide on a place to eat and I’m so glad we did! The waitress was absolutely lovely and so accommodating to us, the food was absolutely incredible, full of flavour. Our waitress was so lovely and offered me an alternative quesadilla as I’m vegetarian, taking time to make sure it was to my liking, and it tasted stunning. She provided high energy/vibes on a cold and rainy night which I couldn’t be more thankful for. The portions were also very large which matched perfectly with the price! All and all I give this place an easy 10/10 if not more and I really can’t wait till I can go again! “Nikki and the team were brilliant. We had a large group and with the pre orders given to them a couple of days prior everyone's food came out hot and in great time. Staff here are always really nice and the kids get to play in the park, even with the cold weather. Great lunch catch up with the family and we will definitely be coming again. They were also brilliant when we had some car issues and went above and beyond to help us out. Thanks guys.”
