βDoesn't look like much from outside but this was one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. Thin with crispy bottom but not dry. Absolutely delicious, will come again!β
βBest Pasta in Brighton hands down!! Mama mi truly is one of Brightons best hidden gems. Giuseppe (the main man) is incredibly kind and charismatic and clearly loves what he does! The whole vibe of the restaurant is great too, really feels like you're back in Italy. The bruschetta was the tastiest I ever had in my life (I've had a lot) and the food overall was incredible! Shame about the opening hours but I heard they will do evening service once a week in winter.β
βA most delicious pizzeria, which is a paradise for vegans. We walked around the nice city. A family of vegans, with children. Oregano was an excellent option for lunch. The restaurant opened just as we arrived, and we waited a bit for them to sort it out. The owner was nice to us the whole time. We ordered a margherita pizza for the kids. The adults shared a mushroom pizza and an oregano salad with sun-dried tomatoes and walnuts. The food was perfect, the service excellent. We have really enjoyed.β
βAwesome Japanese Supermarket / Konbini right here in Brighton. Great selection in fresh food and shelf-life foods. Authentic ingredients and super nice staff.β
Situated on bustling Preston Street in Brighton, Betsy's is a charming local restaurant offering fresh, locally sourced food in a cozy setting. The vibrant venue provides a welcoming dining atmosphere for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu presents a variety of dishes including artisanal burgers, hand-crafted pizzas, meatball linguine, and crispy fries. Morning visitors can enjoy generous breakfast options, while traditional Sunday roasts are served on weekends. A well-curated beverage menu features signature cocktails, wines, and soft drinks to complement every dish.
βAs always Top Notch Nosh. Delighted to witness more new customers discovering this rare gem. We frequently plan trips to Brighton around Burger Bros opening hours. Pictured: Bennetton with Halloumi and v.hot chilliβ
βWe hadnβt reserved a table and we were sat quickly. We ordered 2 delicious cocktails which were good value. We ordered the Ortolan with a gluten free base and the buono and bello . Both were awesome. The service was speedy and efficient.β

βReally enjoyed the food and the friendly atmosphere. The staff made me feel so welcome!β
βUp there as one of the best pizzas Iβve ever eaten, and certainly the best Iβve had in this country. Authentic Neapolitan pizza, so thin you have to eat it with a fork and knifeβ
βWonderful, warm, and cozy atmosphere as well as incredibly tasty food. Good vegan/vegetarian options too. Char grilled sweet potato and spicy cucumber was to die for βΌοΈβ
βExcellent, made to order sushi at a fair price. This is a family run place and the owners are very polite and care about the food they are creating. The range of sushi isnβt the biggest but they instead have focused on quality.β
βvery authentic asian food. chow min and larksa are definitely the signatures! clean and cozy environment.very nice service. kids friendly.β
βSometimes you walk in to a restaurant and you think... this is a restaurant. Other times you walk in and feel like you are in someone's home being served their best food. This is most definitely one of the best Italians, if not homely places I've visited in a long time From the moment you walk in, you are made to feel at home. The food is amazing and I would recommend this place. They know how to do customer service and beyond. A must visit if you are in the area and a hidden gemβ
βIβve booked a table for lunch on my Birthday (for 2) and everything was amazing. The food is delicious, the drink was amazing (Chai latte) and the service excellent. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you!β
βFor me this is the definition of a hidden gem, a nice, quiet, unassuming cafe with a very homely feeling. Every time we visit, it feels like we're back in Japan. Everything is homemade, tasty but also healthy. We always have something savoury and sweet because we don't want to miss out and the matcha late is also great.β
βUpdate: We were given the wrong pizza by accident last night and I wasn't able to contact the pizza van because it was closed. I left a review here and the management got back to me v quickly to apologise and explain. Accidents happen, but this was really great customer service. Side note - the pizzas really are the best in Brighton here!β
βI love KitoKito! Yesterday I had the spicy salmon poke and it was so yummy, the spicy kimchi sauce is so tasty.β
βWe walked into the Riverside, a place with lots of shops and eating places init and we chanced upon Bubble and Bao. We went for the pork buns, chicken tonkatsu, chicken teriyaki Bao bun and what looked like Salmon sushi roll. Oooommmmgggg. So good, pork broth was tasty but could have done with a bit more depth but after seasoning up with some chilli crunch and Soy sauce and ginger it was delicious and with the kombu it was really an interesting flavour. The rest was just amazing. Sushi is prepared after you order it and I'm pretty sure the pork buns were made out of delicious Clouds. I'm so going to try and get back there for the grilled Eel and anything else I can next week.β
βNice little place with sea view in Peacehaven. Excellent staff service and excellent food. Very cheap compare to Brighton.β
βAmazingly good value. My wife and I stopped by following a beach expedition. We ordered two mixed boxes and were amazed by the amount of food provided. In all honesty, we would have been fine splitting one box! Great quality and polite service. Recommended.β
βAte here on a whim, left feeling like a new person. This pizza is phenomenal, the crust was pillow soft, and every bite sent me to a different plane of existence. I will be thinking about this pizza for a long time. Some of the best in England by far.β
βCame across this place when I first been to Brighton and ever since have been my go-to for Japanese food in Brighton. The katsu is served authentically, crispy on the outside yet tender on the inside. Their ramen was delicious as well, but nothing very notable. Their bento boxes is an experience. Especially the unagi bento. I have tried several of their sashimi and sushi, all were delicious and most importantly fresh! Theyβre quite generous with their portions. They have seasonal menus which are delicious every time. Their lunch set is such a great deal, Β£12 for a very fulfilling meal. Itβs a small point but I love that they have proper tea here and itβs delicious. In the pictures are the tonkotsu ramen, hama shioyaki, salmon platter, strawberry matcha dorayaki, and pork katsu. Apart from the food, the atmosphere is really relaxing with the warm wood furniture, low light, and soft Ghibli music. The service is excellent. At this point, I have and will be coming back again.β
βI was greeted by a familiar, cozy environment and friendly staff. My order was the #2 Tokyo Tonkotsu, a serving of edamame, and the melon ramune. The rich, savoury black garlic oil blended perfectly with the hearty broth and created a homely bowl topped only by Japan itself. Overall 5 stars, would come again.β
βAt the beginning of October 2025, I attended a wedding photography convention and masterclass in Brighton called Thrive, organised by Photography Farm. Ahead of the convention, Robert and I decided to spend a few days exploring the city, and thatβs when we came across Pho Brighton. What a wonderful discovery!!! The food was absolutely excellent, rich in flavour, fresh, and deeply satisfying. The atmosphere felt joyful, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We would wholeheartedly recommend Pho Brighton to anyone visiting the city and looking for a lovely place to eat. A real highlight of our time in Brighton.β
βAmiciβs is a gorgeous little restaurant! All the mains and starters Iβve had have been delicious and I love the tiramisu! Super friendly and attentive staff. They always have seasonal decorations- it is one of my fave places! Try it out!β
βIβve been to this restaurant several times and always leave wanting more. The sushi tacos are unlike anything Iβve had anywhere else and their other menu items are just as delicious! Itβs a family-owned business and every time I go in they are so kind. You can see the passion they have for their food and taste it as well. I could not recommend more!!β
βAlthough we didnβt have sushi, this place is a gem and a delight, it was recommended by a friend at work and I can say itβs highly recommended by me. I had udon noodles and pork with prawn rolls. Service was five star with friendly and knowledgeable staff itβs a warm and inviting atmosphere and just on the right side of cozy. I drove all the way from Croydon although I was generally in the area but would drive back there for more of the delicious udon noodles and to try some of the super looking sushi. Book up if you can the service was quick and with a smile always makes things better.β
βHighly recommend. They went out of their way to make me a fruit tea with black instead of green tea even though its not something they do, when I asked if all the fruit tea was with green tea. Super friendly will definitely be back. It was perfect even though it's not something they normally make! Excited to buy some sushi next time as well :-)β
βLa Tana is truly the best Italian restaurant in Brighton! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The food is absolutely deliciousβeach dish is bursting with authentic flavors that transport you straight to Italy. Since our first visit, we've returned three times because we just can't get enough! The service is impeccable; the staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about providing a great dining experience. What makes La Tana stand out even more is that the entire kitchen team is Italian, which really shines through in the quality and authenticity of the food. You can tell every dish is cooked with love and dedication. Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine Italian cuisine in Brighton. Weβll definitely be back again soon!β
