“Impero Lounge is right on the High Street in the heart of Portishead, perfect to stop in before a jaunt around the harbour. They’re on a corner with huge floor-to-ceiling windows (that open right up) wrapped around two sides, flooding the vaulted interiors with light. There’s a lovely terrace out the front too, perfect for watching the world go by. They’ve a fantastic range of food and drinks (including full kids, gluten-free and vegan menus) served in this relaxed, welcoming space. Look out for their mural celebrating Portishead’s old power station and lighthouse. Which is apt, as they’re a bit of a powerhouse and a shining beacon for the hungry and thirsty people of Portishead.”

“We went early in the evening on a Thursday. Wonderful place just at the top of the marina, with indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly staff, who are very welcoming and accommodating to requests.
