The beer selection is good and it also tastes very good, you won't find as much choice in the other pubs. On the weekends they have various entertainment from acoustic to bands and everyone taps there feet. There have also recently started doing cocktails and I have tried a few and they are tops. Quality of GF I must say BEST FISH AND CHIPS I have had period! Shame it’s a 2 hour journey haha. Hearing locals in cue saying they’ve tried all in Barry and this was the ONE. When we were taken to the table by the host Chris, he introduced our sever as Mitch who was really personable and positive. It is unusual to have professional and enthusiastic service at restaurants nowadays, so Mitch was a refreshing change! The chefs serving the carvery were great as well, the food of exceptionally high quality with vegetables not being stewed or cooked to death, but actually fresh and inviting. If you like a carvery, this is superb and at less than £20 per head is great value.”
