“Used them to have a chilled bottle of champagne delivered to a friend after they finished their Viva. Easy process, and a great team.”
“very friendly family run local store.”
“best shop there is, customer service is always amazing and the workers are always trying to help out the community in anyway they can, thank you”
“Great selection of decent beers and wines. Noticed some niche spirit options too. Friendly service, what's not to love here. Recommend!”
“Best prices here. Open from 8am till 9pm or 10pm, depends on day. Staff are very helpful.”
“I was visiting Edinburgh for three days and stopped in to Bon Vivant on the first night after failing to find a place to eat closer to my hotel. I ended up enjoying it so much that I went back for lunch the next day and afternoon drinks the day after. The food is absolutely superb, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is delightful, but the drinks are something really special. Their cocktail menu includes an excellent range of recipes, from old classics to more experimental modern ones, including some sublime barrel-aged tipples. All the drinks are executed by bartenders who clearly know what they're doing and are capable of making good suggestions. Bon Vivant is an essential stop for anyone who cares about high quality mixed drinks.”
“Very polite and welcoming staff. Had the pleasure to taste the whisky before purchasing it. Not just the barrels that were available in the shop. But other unique ones. Highly recommended to anyone who likes whisky. If you are new or old whisky lover this is the best place to go. You will find your favorite even if you don’t know it yet! Will be revisited next time when visiting Edinburgh.”
“Lovely wee shop. I was sending an evri parcel and the member of staff was really helpful lining up the barcode scanner as it was being a bit tricky.”
“Love this shop, brilliant array of products and always service with a smile! Especially love the paprika crisps and juices.”
“Great personalised service information and conversation. The personalised tasting is a perfect concept. Good luck with the store.”
“Great wee handy shop. Friendly staff and always have some nice treats if you want. I usually go in for milk and end up getting some other stuff”
“We had the honor of hosting Stephen for a private whisky tasting after our wedding ceremony on 13/5/23 evening. Not only was he full of amazing whisky facts, he was also very professional and relaxed. We recommend spending any time with Stephen to feel like a true whisky aficionado.”
“Nice storefront, smells lovely (can't remember a store smelling nice!) and, of course, lovely selection of malt whiskies - if you have the money then it's a nice place to visit. Of course online may provide cheaper sources of your whisky however if you want rare items (or retailer exclusives) then I can't think of a nicer place to be in”
“Fellow from Dallas Texas here. We stayed in Edinburgh four days, and shopped at this store every single day. Clean store, well stocked, super friendly employees, and great prices. If I were a local, I'd be a regular for sure. First time I've ever had un-peated Scotch. What a difference!”
“went in and the guy came up to me and asked if i needed help, had a discussion about what was the best wine for me because I was on a budget. Made life easier for me so thank you! would go again to buy wine, lovely staff and great selection. very limited on lager selection, mainly craft beer so if you don't like that sort of thing not the best place for you but if you are a wine lover then yes”
“The staff make this place. Amazing so helpful and friendly”
“The best small market in the New Town area. Margiotta Dundas Street retains its Italian market heritage with a wonderful selection of fresh bread and bakery sweets. Plus wine and beer, kitchen and gifts, all the basics, and more!”
“Just moved to the area and the staff are so lovely. 10/10”
“I always shop here when I need a few things at home. They also have some different products and Italian products that are really good. I was always treated with respect.”
“Lovely shop, lady behind the till always friendly and happy to help. Shop local :)”
“Small licensed convenience store. Has all the staples covered and is good for picking up a few items, but maybe a little pricey for a full shop. Shelves well stocked as a general rule and the staff are pleasant and efficient.”
“Staff are friendly and helpful. The shop is well stocked covering most items. The bread is fresh with deliveries every morning supplying rolls croissants etc. The shop during a school week around lunch time gets very busy with school pupils coming up from Liberton high school.”
“Just finished our tasting with Jamie and it was fabulous!!! He was extremely knowledgeable, kind, professional, and personable. I highly recommend doing a tasting here while visiting Edinburgh. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a novice whisky drinker or a collector…I felt very comfortable and welcome!”
“This is my favourite shop in the area low prices fantastic offers with a wide selection to choose”
“Always polite and service always quick. Never a complaint. Been using years and will continue to do so as long as I live in the area.”
“I can’t thank Little Waitrose at Shell Circle enough! On New Year’s night, when everything else was closed, I desperately needed baby diapers at midnight. To my relief, they had Pampers in stock—though the sizes were limited, it was exactly what I needed in a pinch. The convenience of this store, especially during odd hours, is unmatched. A true lifesaver when you're in a bind. Highly recommend for late-night essentials!”
“I was looking for a Kebab and I stumbled across my regular local chippy that had moved away but wasn’t sure where they moved to. The food is brilliant as always. Highly recommend”
“Great selection of beers and wine”
“Great service very friendly and reasonably priced”
