βLovely to explore the well tended gardens. Fantastic little additional adventure on the forest walk. With some really stunning architectural prices to discover. The sun dials are amazing, crisp detailing on 400+ year old stonework. More hidden sculpts hint at the monastery that was here before.β
βGot recommended to this place from a friend. Chicken Shawarma was kick ass! Super fresh. Staff very friendly as well, go check this place out in the heart of St. Andrewβs.β
βVery friendly host who offers a warm greeting. The room was lovely. The think I really enjoyed was how quiet everything was, I rarely heard folks in other rooms which I really appreciated. The bed was comfy and the food was good, canβt ask for much more.β
βGreat college, great mix of courses. Easily accessible with public transport with bus and train stations 5 minutes awayβ
βReally enjoyed this spot! Found it on a Google map search while we were in the area. The BLT and Calamari sandwiches were delicious. Would highly recommend this place for a quick and cheap but tasty dinner! Visited from Canada by the way and weβll be back next time weβre in Edinburgh.β
βGreat venue for the fringe! Can easily spend here the whole day - plenty of options for food, drinks & great showβ¦ and a short walk from the Royal Mile. My first show was βIn Loyal Companyβ - highly recommended!β
βNice and serene environment for education.β
βI canβt thank the medical staff and front of house staff enough. My sprocker Meg was admitted as a emergancy in August with a swollen eye with a foreign body in. Long story short it turned out to be something devastatingly worse. At just 8 years old and no prior indications or anything, her wings were ready but we were not. Meg has never been apart from us, I was worried how she would do being admitted, she was there Saturday to Monday, the staff were amazing, she wasnβt worried she wasnβt down, she maybe didnβt understand but the staff made her feel safe and cared for. The staff were so kind and caring front of house and behind the scenes. Sadly we collected Meg on Monday for one last night at home before she donned her wings with her own favourite vet. The staff kept in touch with us the whole time she was admitted, they kept us informed and kept in touch with our vet as well. We all knew what was going on at every stage. Then after they helped sort the insurance claim and kept in touch, we got a lovely card a few weeks later from the staff that cared for Meg which was beautiful. She had lovely consultants, I met Chloe (eye consultant) and Karen (general med consultant) and though I never met the nurses I heard from staff how much they loved Meg and how she greeted them happily with her βsookyβ and behaved well curled on her favourite blanket. The staff here are amazing. Though Meg is no longer with us, it helped knowing they made her happy and comfortable when she was in the hospital and went fretting or worrying. The staff also made sure her βsookyβ was with her at all times and her blanket stayed with her as well. Not easy in such a busy environment. The hardest place to have to go knowing what could come but the staff do all they can not just for the animals in their care but to help their humans cope and deal with whatever comes and whatever the outcome might be.β
βStayed in the single room - great for solo travelers who donβt want to pay the expensive Edinburgh prices. The house is old and charming, very clean. The room was small which was perfect for just me. It was quiet. I never saw staff besides when I checked in. Did not get breakfast since it was an additional fee. Very close to multiple bus stops.β
βOur kids (boy 11 and girl 14 years) were impressed how the imaginative and creative SJM teachers managed to involve kids, how fast the kids progressed. They easily made friends and enjoyed the breaks in between. We as parents adored the final show - well done and very entertaining. Communication has always been excellent, thanks a lot, Stephen. We highly recommend this SJM activity for a summer program.β
βBoth the campus and the relatively new building are both quite beautiful. It opens up to the public in the fall for doors open day and is worth a visit if you're interested checking it out.β
βMy little girl has just started over the last few months. She is the shyest wee girl that doesnβt ever want to leave my side and not being able to talk yet probably makes it a bit harder for her. However after about 4 weeks of her crying every time I left her, she now lets go of my hand with no issues. She comes out showing me what sheβs learned each class. She spends time in between ballet and musical theatre doing the things she done there. Iβve already noticed more confidence in her in this short time. Miss Amber and the staff/girls at forefront have been amazing and their patience has put trust in me to leave her with them. Iβm excited to see where her forefront journey takes her!β
βStage Skool is hands down the best performing school in central Scotland. My children adore their time at Stage Skool. The teachers know exactly what to do to help kids build confidence and develop acting, singing and dancing skills. They have a great hard working and nurturing culture within the school that really helps the kids thrive, want to work hard and do their best. The standard of performing that comes from the kids across all the different branches of this school is amazing. I love seeing all of the children cheer and support one another in their performances.β

βMy experience at the Renewable Energy Institute has been transformative and enriching. Having recently completed the first three modules of the Expert Training Certificate in Carbon Finance, Carbon Capture and Storage, and Renewable Energy Management & Finance, I have gained invaluable insights into the nexus of climate finance, cutting-edge technologies, and sustainable energy solutions. The programβs structure is highly practical and engaging, combining theoretical foundations with real-world applications. Each module is designed to address critical aspects of the global energy transition, equipping participants with the tools to analyze and implement impactful strategies. The depth of expertise shared by the instructors, coupled with the interactive learning environment, has enhanced my understanding of carbon markets, innovative storage technologies, and holistic energy management practices. What truly sets this program apart is its focus on actionable knowledge that aligns with the demands of todayβs sustainability challenges. These courses have significantly advanced my professional development, particularly as I focus on carbon finance mechanisms for climate mitigation and economic growth. I wholeheartedly recommend the Renewable Energy Institute to professionals seeking to make a meaningful contribution to a sustainable future.β
βI would definitely recommend staying at Beaverbank place to a student. First, the staff is great, they are always available and answer your questions really quickly. Second, the studio in which I was staying was in extremely good condition. There is a big desk to work, a large bed (even if i have to admit that the mattress was not really good), and a very large window for plenty of luminosity. Third, I think that the location of Beaverbank place is great. There are two supermarkets within 5 min walk, it is very calm (no traffic noise) and it is close to a lot of green spaces (pretty nice to cool down after a hard day of work). It is within 20-25 min walk from the city centre which was ok for me. Fourth, considering the quality of the studio, the staff kindness, the fact that you don't have to care about anything (bills, council tax exemption), that your parcels are collected by the receptionist and that you can collect them afterwards at any time and that there is a good internet connection, I think the rent is fair. To me, the only drawbacks were that the laundry machines are maybe a bit expensive and that you can not bring certain electric devices in the studio (the ones that use too much energy (which makes sense because the electric bill is included in your rent)). However, I guess that these drawbacks are the same in every student hall accommodation. Overall, I would really recommend living at Beaverbank place to any student.β
βDELICIOUSSSSS food! The bao buns are so fluffy and yummy, and the kung pao chicken was delicious too. Staff are very sweet, though they only accept cash!β

βGood experience... Had second covid jag... The guys there were Brill.β
βMay be a private school but the types of students you will find here aren't too dissimilar from other schools, ones who don't care about their education, vape in the toilets, push others around in an attempt to support their fragile egos and push teachers to the brink of sanity. Pretty standard stuffβ
βBeautiful stage and very kind staff. Enjoying very much the time spent there.β
βWatched Lena at the Edinburgh Fringe in here. Massive theatre so plenty of room and spare seats so if you are a bit wary of small theatres then go for this. Fab and emotional show also.β
βGreenmantle Bar & Kitchen was an absolute highlight of our trip to Edinburgh. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We were lucky enough to catch some live music during our visit, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere was lively, authentic, and full of that special Scottish pub charm you dream about before your trip. The drinks were great, with a solid selection of local options. If you're looking for that real Scottish bar experience, Greenmantle is the place to go. Weβll definitely be back next time weβre in town!β
βAmazing small venue offering the freshest live music by and club nights too!! It's a local hero!!β
βUsed to be in and out of here all the time when I was at heriot watt and the staff were friendly and charming. The selection of foods and drinks is amazing!β
βI have went here and now I am in uni and honestly I got to say this is the only educational institute that actually cares about their students they provide free breakfast some toast and some soup and tea and coffee also sometimes they have donations of different types of stuff in the lobby like essentials I remember and some eggs etc I am proud of this college compared to uni you canβt even compare I am disappointed in universities since itβs becoming only for rich students.love the colleges lentil soup !β
βFabulous location central old Edinburgh, by Castle Very safe and friendly Fantastic value for money Great food evening, basic but good, cold self serve breakfast. Lockers, USB charging sockets and reading light for each bed. Lockers on reception for after check-out. Lots showers and toilets. Female only, male only and mixed. All with cubicles with locks. Warm room and could open window. Very groovy bar/cafe/ restaurant area. Great music playing and fun friendly atmosphere. Very safe, reception manned 24/7 Can hire towels cheaply Only downside was that the mattress was a bit basic and uncomfortable on bunk bed, but bedding was nice and kept clean.β
