βOrganise 3rd year student exchanges to over 100 universities across the worldβ
βAMAZING! I would 100% recommend this accommodation to any student. You literally cannot get a better location for studying at Edinburgh University. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are lovely, the kitchen is great and the staff are so kind and helpful. Every friend who came to visit complimented it - I can't think of a better place to live in town. There are shops and restaurants near by and it is a central and safe area. The bins outside didn't bother me at all - like in the other review - and if you feel like you cant study here (don't know why that would be) the library is literally on the campus across the road so no issues. Best accommodation in Edinburgh!β
βItison dinner deal. An itison deal took us back to Bistro du Vin for 3 courses & a glass of Prosecco. The restaurant was fairly busy but not packed and there were plenty of staff. There was a bit of confusion over what menu we were on by the waiter which meant we were looking at the wrong menu before I queried this and it was then changed, a bit embarrassing for us. After our order was placed it seemed to take ages for our starters to arrive , service from then was slow and customers were raising there hands all evening to try and get the attention of waiting staff. This was a bit strange as staff were always free and standing in a huddle. The food as usual was good and the atmosphere pleasant just need the service to improve.β

βI am leaving a five star review for the front receptionist (Amy) at sighthill campus. On more than one occasion this wonderful lady has helped me. But today especially, she has shown me great kindness beyond her job description, she supported me through the application process and even read over my personal statement. I confined in Amy, told her of recent events that occurred in my life that I have been struggling with. She was very understanding and always checking to see if I was okay while filling in my application at college today. I am incredibly grateful for the kindness and support this woman showed me today. Thank you lots Amy! P.s this woman deserves a raise!β
βAs a whole the building is a great place to stay. The rooms are very spacious and meet the standard of student accommodation. The building manage and receptionist is a great addition to the building as she is very helpful and someone you can go to with any concerns. The building also has great communal space where residents can socialise. Overall a great living experienceβ
βThe OU gave me the opportunity to retrain in the field of computer science, while also working full-time and having a family, and I will be eternally grateful to them for this. The teaching and assessment have generally been of a high quality (although I think the OU could also adopt some of the things that make MOOCs work so well too, e.g. recorded lectures broken into 15 min segements), and I would recommend it to everyone.β
βJoey and his team went above and beyond to get my Chinese visa in time for my visit to Shenzhen. Last time I visited, I applied for a temporary visa at the port. Never again! It took 90 minutes to go through immigration. So once again a big thanks to i2visa UK!β

βI canβt thank Joe, Kayla, and the entire team at Joseph G Boyd & Co Court Lawyers enough. From start to finish, they were absolutely amazing! Professional, supportive, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. As someone who can be a bit of a stresshead, I was honestly dreading the whole situation, but Joe and Kayla were incredible at keeping me calm and clearly explaining everything step by step. Their guidance and reassurance made a massive difference. (Even with the multiple calls and texts from me worrying they were always at the end of the phone to reassure and clam me down!) They dealt with the matter swiftly and professionally, and itβs now looking like no further action β case closed! Iβm beyond grateful for their hard work and support. If you ever need a solicitor team that truly has your back, I 100% recommend Joseph G Boyd & Co. Thank you again, Joe, Kayla, and team you were all amazing and I am beyond grateful!β

βIt is the first music museum I have been to and my favorite music museum in the UK so far. It is a combo of concert hall and music museum which belongs to the University of Edinburgh. The exhibit is so amazing, in addition to displaying some native British instruments, there are many French, Italian, German and even other foreign instruments. Originally, the piano without art painting is the piano of the common people, and the piano with art painting is the piano of the nobility. I love the harpsichord (picture 6), with Greek mythology hidden inside the lid, flowers painted on the sound board, a art about Chinese market depicted on the outside, and the piano legs are gilt in gold color. The German curator of the museum explained because that the harpsichord was bought by the French aristocrats and they chose the pattern themselves, and they hired several different painters, thatβs why the finished product eventually presented in different patterns and styles, but in fact, there were many 17 centuryβs harpsichords and pianos of the French aristocrats like this. Thanks to her very much patient explanation, I felt so educated today. They said people can next book a tour guide online in advance, which I will do so next time when I come back, so that I can learn more interesting musical instrument history.β

βWe are still not out of the woods but wanted to reassure anyone who has to take their beloved pet here as an emergency that these people will do everything they can. My cat Winston was feeling poorly and not eating too well. After taking him to my normal vet (Dundas Veterinary Group: never again) they told me his creatinine value was 1200 which is not good. 24 hours of fluids and no pain management, only trying to get him some gabapentin via food which he wasnβt eating and his condition was not improving and second blood panel showed 2300 creatinine. I didnβt want to give up especially since no imaging had been done so we received a priority referral to the small animal hospital and the treatment and bedside manner has been night and day. Winston was put on antibiotics, fluids and imaging was done among other things. These things take time and as of this morning his kidney values are back to normal ! Even if things do not end the way we want, I am so comforted by the fact that my cat is getting the absolute best care. Thank you to Joel and Esther and the team for taking such good care your patients and their owners.β
βNever been to the shop as it's a long way away. But it is without a doubt, the best online shopping experience I have had.β
βWe had a wonderful tour with Highland Experience! Kenny was a fantastic tour guide in every way. A great mix of sightseeing, history, humor, and culture. Mr. Kirk quickly established the individual circumstances of folks in our group and customized the experience perfectly. We appreciated his extensive familiarity with the locations, including less traveled roads, amazing scenic stops, and every detail - right down to where the best toilets are! While driving, Kenny provided insight, stories, history, and local music that enhanced the drive and sights. Selecting the music was a particular skill - ranging from energetic at times to reverent as well experienced Culloden Battlefield. The local bookings were great - we felt lucky to have dinner and attend a Ceilidh! Kenny was fantastic! The tour bus was clean and comfortable! The weather was very nearly perfect (OK, Kenneth may not control that, but it was great). Highland Experience was a great choice.β
