“Our dog stood on broken glass. We called vet, they took us in instantly, and kindly removed glass from his paw. Lovely staff and great service. Thanks guys”
“Hyndland Street Vets saved the day for our boy Lazare! After 4 years in Glasgow we were moving back to the US and Lazare was denied boarding on his flight from Frankfurt to St Louis because his travel documents went missing somewhere en route during his Edinburgh to Frankfurt flight. (Lufthansa!) On a very busy Friday before May Bank Holiday weekend — HSVS produced an original official heath certificate WITHIN HOURS so we could get him on the next flight. He’s with us a safe and sound now so I want to extend my sincere gratitude to HSVS for going above and beyond to help us. You all are THE BEST! Thank you!”
“I can’t thank the night shift team, working Thurs 12/06, enough for saving my dogs life. They were all very professional and kind. They kept me well informed and were very clear, explaining all of my options. I felt very reassured that Goku was in good hands. I was able to give him cuddles right before his surgery which I appreciate so much. He has been very settled since coming home and has had his post op check with my usual vet who are very happy with his results! Thank you for saving my best friend!”
“Could not fault this vet one bit , they have been amazing with my English bulldog”
“It was easy to find with lots of parking and plenty of green spaces to walk the dog before going in. The reception staff were very kind and helpful and the waiting area is bright airy and very spacious, there are wee individual pods to sit in so nervous/excitable pets have space. I think cats had their own room. The vet/Dr we saw was very kind and thorough and we were kept informed of our dogs progress throughout. Nobody wants to visit the hospital with their pet but if we had to go again it would be reassuring to know it was the UoGSAH we were returning to.”
“Absolutely fantastic! This truly the best veterinary surgery! I take all my dogs and rabbits here and they always get the best care. All the staff are really lovely, helpful and extremely caring. If I have a pet going in for surgery I always leave them there knowing they will get the best care. I don’t know what I would do without them. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Incredibly kind staff who assessed my hamster promptly and prescribed me the necessary medication. Clean and comfortable facility, with more than reasonable prices.”

“Fantastic care from all,Vet Alison, and vet nurses especially Laura thank you he doing well and signed off now by Vet nurse Nick Drymen Rd First vets”
“Very kind and patient, and actually listens to accomodation requests! We've had issues that have lead to us paying double in the past at other clinics, when they refuse to consider that the physical stress our cat experiences when left at the vet/around other cats might actually be problem, and not just us being overdramatic, but we had no such issues here. They were more than happy to try to make the lead-up to, and recovery after procedures as stress-free for her as possible, which is super appreciated. We were also informed of the healthy pet club, which greatly reduces the price of procedures, vaccine boosters, tests, etc. when paying a set monthly fee. As one of us has a zero-hour minimum wage job, learning about this, and joining, has really helped ease the monetary strain of our cat's age-related issues :) Attaching a couple photos of said cat recovering from anaesthesia, you can really see the singular brain cell bouncing about in her skull in these!”
“Had to visit McDonald's Vet yesterday and today for my wee lame cat. The team who've been on both days were excellent! The vet was lovely- very gentle with my timid cat and she properly listened to me. The nurse also had a lovely manner, putting me at ease. I'm very happy with the care wee Smilla received.”
