Pizza & Sushi in Glasgow

“It's been a long tome since I had ordered Pizza for a delivery, but I was tempted to try Papa Johns having seen their menu was featuring a Tandoori Chicken option. Delivery on a Wednesday evening was quick. Ordered at 6:45pm, it was delivered at 7:15pm. The delivery driver was polite and friendly. The two pizzas I ordered were hot and delicious. All of their elements tasted fresh. The dough was crisp and had a lovely, chewy crust. My only disappointment was that, as seems to be usual for all the chains, the dip was Garlic, which I can't stand. Why can't we be given a choice? I am fortunate enough to have several pizza delivery options to choose from locally, but I have often been left disappointed by the lack of toppings (D******) or really greasy (P**** H**) orders that I've had delivered. Based on my experience this time, Papa Johns Paisley will be my first choice when I next get the craving.”

“Whoever the lad was that just delivered food to Bowmore Gardens (wasn't us) was an absolute legend of a guy! Super enthusiastic and polite to me and my kids. Give him a payrise! (He drove a grey masda)”

“Had a mix up with my order on Friday evening, when uber eats driver delivered it to wrong customer. Aaron at store phoned we to let me know what happened, and could not have been more apologetic - as the store was now out of stock of many of the items to redo it. He was upfront and honest.which I appreciated. I have also since spoken with Patrick, the manager of the store, to chase up the refund. Once again, I have been impressed by his customer service and desire to resolve the issue. Unfortunately things don't always go to plan, but I have been impressed with both Aaron and Patrick in trying to put things right, especially when they were not at fault, and will continue to order from this store in future”

“I've had so far 3 pizzas from here and some minor sides. Pizzas are thin, well done dough, something kind of an Italian style. Nothing like thick heavy and greasy Indian pizzas. My missis would only eat this one now. Was that helpful?”

“Amazing pizzas staff always friendly, I don't get delivery's as too many people use delivery's these days so you're never gonna get it hot, I use the website, easy to use, any XXL pizza 9.99 if you collect yourself! What's not too love, got a xxl pizza with everything on it last night and a hawaian saved a mint, went up and got em myself, takes like 20mins from order to ready so I order from my house then head up and if anything wait 5mins, staff are always spot on very friendly and welcoming, I wasn't gonna review as reviews do help a place and after this it will probably take me longer to get mine but feel more people have tae know! They have tae know hahaha!”

“We held a special christening lunch here and everybody raved about the food. Smiths were excellent at dealing with our dietary requirements and gave us ample space in the restaurant for comfortable eating as we had two babies in prams. “I enjoyed lunch here today. Food is well priced and service was alright. It’s a small Chinese food shop and the food is so fresh. It’s traditionally made so I liked that it didn’t taste like the typical ‘westernized’ Chinese takeaway. Food tasted fresh. The price is really fair tbh and the staff was helpful with the menu. The menu is very limited I must say. I wanted the shrimp dumpling but it wasn’t available, went for the shiitake ones and it was great. We spent £50 pounds and this covered tea, dumplings and mains and an extra serving of dumpling. Also the portion size is amazing and we ended up not finishing our portions.”

While it appears to be part of a chain, the quality didn’t disappoint. I had the black garlic ramen, which was particularly enjoyable—the broth was rich and flavorful, and the meat was tender with a delightful crunch that added great texture. The atmosphere is casual and perfect for a laid-back dining. The service was also very attentive, making the visit even more pleasant. All in all, a solid option if you’re looking for a tasty, no-fuss ramen fix.”

“A wonderful experience! We opted for the 10 course summer menu with wines and were so pleased we did! A very warm welcome and with our 4.45pm slot the place was virtually empty on arrival so we were able to choose a lovely spot to sit before being guided through the menu by our friendly, knowledgeable server who was wonderful throughout and keen to chat with us about each course and wine and seemed genuinely interesting in our thoughts throughout. We opted for some delicious apperitifs as well. The menu itself was fantastic, I particularly enjoyed the melon gazpacho to start... a great start to a summer menu (and on such a hot day). I also really enjoyed the Mussels and Fregola dish. My husband loved the pork dish. We were both pleased to be proved completely wrong about what we thought our "top picks" would be. Wines were paired well and we enjoyed all of them; I was very surprised again by what I thought my favourite wine would be Vs what it actually was. I noticed the goats cheese dish was prepared/served very differently to what I've seen on their own social media but I can only imagine this is part of the development of these dishes/menus and it was absolutely stunning so not a complaint by any means! We got married on the first so travelled up to Scotland to visit some family for a "mini moon" and wanted to treat ourselves to a memorable evening out. This absolutely delivered and we felt was great value for money. If I was to find any minor criticism it would be that the music at points really didn't seem fitting for the setting... a wild playlist that rapidly fluctuated between "bangers" to more chilled music. That being said we actually found it quite funny but may not suit all diners!”
