“Went in during the half term, with my daughter's school laptop. From the phone call I made to Computer Gentle, before going in with said laptop, we suspected it was a hinge failure. I was quite worried about how long it would take to get the parts in and what would be the cost. I took the laptop in that same day, so Rukun could take a look at it and diagnose the problem. It turns out that the screws of the back case had just wobbled loose and all it needed was tightening! Rukun was knowledgeable, very informative, helping me to understand what had happened, how to prevent future occurrences and most importantly, an honest person. He could have easily made the job bigger than it was - he didn't. I respect and value that, and would not hesitate in recommending Computer Gentle!”

“Incredible commitment towards fixing a very peculiar issue that I had with my PC. After countless visits by Dave he solved a problem I was having with my PC auto restarting and freezing. Checked every last possible problem with my hardware and concluded the issue was down to a faulty wireless card. I can't recall how many times Dave went out of his way to come over and help me with my PC and I highly doubt any other repair service could provide the same level of satisfaction and quality of commitment and service. “Lovely little find, and really good to see a cafe set up for accommodating cyclists, who are able to park their bikes on a rack just inside the cafe. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and decor. Loved the bench seating and cushions .. I do like nice tables and seating .. walked past loads of cafés today which didn't tick those boxes for me! Hence my delight at this find :-) Food great and the bacon butty and hot drink deal was really nice and great value at £6. Chai latte and fruit crumblejack cake also highly recommended. Will definitely visit again :-)”

“We ideally wanted to find a family run appliance shop so if there were any issues it would be considerably easier to speak to someone to help rectify. With this we went to Herbert and Todd in Harrogate, where we were greeted by Dave. Dave was so helpful and honest. He didn’t push any specific brands, he went through every option and knew all the answers to any questions we had. Dave was also very understanding of our 2 year old child who has little patience and was running around.. basically being a 2 year old.. which also made us feel at ease and not in a rush to leave the shop. Because of Dave alone, we chose to buy the majority of our new appliances from Herbert Todd and trust his honest recommendations. We did in fact visit the York store to simply view a quooker tap. Although the reception was pleasant, the knowledge or understanding wasn’t on par with Dave at Harrogate. Since then we have had our appliances delivered and have actually had an issue, which is the manufacturers fault, I emailed Dave my concern and he responded in the same day and was straight onto it for me, it still isn’t rectified as of yet however Dave has kept me informed during the whole process. Regardless of the outcome, I will use Herbert and Todd everytime at Harrogate with Dave or Colin… spoken to Colin a few times, also super friendly and helpful!! It’s difficult to find service like this anymore, we are so happy we decided to visit, thank you Dave!”

“I bought a refrigerated van box. There was a choice of several and for the price as advertised. The guys were helpful in providing a ladder so I could inspect the roof and with loading the item. The yard is busy and you would benefit from taking boots or wellies if it’s been raining as it was very muddy. Reading the comments it would seem people have difficulty with the communication as English is not their first language. But with a bit of patience and clarity they get the job done.”
