“I love this restraunt/takeaway. I can't fault it at all. The staff are friendly, service brilliant and food is delicious. It's my favourite place to eat out in Hebden Bridge. The kitchen is open and you can see them making your food. They use quality ingredients, freshly made and I can trust what I'm eating is made with care. “When the waiter was making a show of wiping our plates before placing them, I noticed a speck of greenery left on the plate. I didn't say anything, because the waiter immediately apologised for it and took the plate away to give us a new one. That showed that he was actually paying attention rather than just going through the motions - a very good sign, which was backed up by the rest of the service. The waiters were a couple of older gentlemen with an air of grizzled competence and professionalism which inspires immediate confidence. The food itself was way above expectations too, and the prices are almost ridiculously low - it's almost cheaper to eat dinner here than it is to have a quick lunch in the likes of Starbucks or Costa. Definitely recommended.”

“My wife and I have just had one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. My wife had the steak pie which was crammed with perfectly cooked beef steak and gravy , with chips and peas. I had game pie again crammed with meat and gravy , with chips peas and a large gravy boat. We could not have asked for a better meal. The wood burning stove blasted out a lot of heat, to make the room comforting. The service is so good that they bring your drinks to your table. Excellent value.”

“What a fabulous little venue. Came here for a quiet lunch with colleagues and knew it was going to be good when the pensioners started to arrive. I mean that complimentary because senior citizens have eaten everywhere and choose the best places to eat. The food was spot on. Decor and ambience was perfect. Seating was very comfy. “I recently hired the first floor of the restaurant for my 50th Party. In the lead up to it, the staff were amazing in particular Rich and Jakub in allowing me to view it numerous times. I chose a hot buffet and we had various options but they needed tweaking for dietary requirements, this was no problem at all, and menus were re-visited. The week leading up to the party, there was another viewing and the staff worked around my work schedule and stayed late, moved tables, humoured me and ensured I was happy. When the evening came, the room looked beautiful, the food was gorgeous and the drinks were flowing. Nothing was too much trouble. All my guests raved about the food and the atmosphere. It was relaxed, but special, really an evening to remember and I thoroughly enjoyed myself without having to orchestrate a thing on the night. They even kept the bar open later than arranged and were good natured when we finally called our ubers. Same again next birthday?!! Thank you Heaney and Mill, we'll be back”

“Excellent quality food and fantastic service. All the meats were excellent and the staff kept bringing more. There’s a pleasant self-service salad/buffet bar too. It was basically empty on our afternoon visit so we got excellent personal service and everything cooked specifically for us. The minted lamb was my personal favourite. We will be back.”
