“Called for refreshments after a walk today. Didn't book as we didn't know what time we would arrive, but a table was found for us. Great coffee (I love a strong latte, but it is also available in medium and weak). We all had toasted teacakes - very nice, and excellent prices. Lovely owners and staff. Will be back.”

“Amazing vegan Chinese food takeaway!! We ordered loads and it was all delicious - would definitely recommend the homemade style Tofu, special vegan fried rice, salt and pepper chips, all the starters and also the chow mein. Also made a great breakfast the day after. Super friendly service - called me to tell me when we should set off to collect our food! Would love a bit more spice in the dishes marked spicy :) Definitely would recommend.”

“This place is a proper hidden gem. Situated just up the road from the Alhambra Theatre, neatly tucked away. Absolutely wonderful food in a really friendly environment. The flavours were immense, with the meat so tender it just fell apart, non of this overcooked chewy business you sometimes find elsewhere. Definitely booked in for a return visit with the whole family next time.”

“Was just passing by and grabbed some lunch on the go, I went for the boneless jerk chicken box with rice and salad with a piece of carrot cake. The salad was a 10/10 everything was so fresh and included a lot more than I expected.. potatoes, olives, pasta, peppers. The rice peas and chicken was amazing and also had lots of nice sauces to choose from. If I was from Bradford this is somewhere I’d be visiting a lot more. Customer service was great to”

“I have been going to grilled and filtered since college. (Which was nearly 10 years ago). The food has never faltered in quality and Sharon and the team are a friendly bunch of girls! All the food is homemade and is fresh nd tasty! Would definitely reccomend. 10/10”

“Great paratha ever had with achar and Choley and the lovely desi tea my great auntie made me a wonderful food will definitely come again and any one who does not know tazza Kitchen then they should come and try her she is a wonderful lady and a cook as well a great person she is the best in town so please visit and you won't be disappointed. “Dropped in early for tea and they were so welcoming. We had poppadums and pickles (wonderful), followed by starters and mains (we had to take some home). The waiters were brilliant explaining some dishes and catering for our every need. This place is lively, friendly and has an excellent chef and top class waiters 10/10.”

“I was so close to giving up on finding good pizza in Wakefield. When the top-rated options are Pizza Joy, a takeaway using frozen bases, and Papa John’s, a mainstream chain, it’s hard not to lose hope. I had. But I gave it one last try—enter Basebox. This is the best pizza in Wakefield, and honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere in the UK. I’m not sure what “style” it is, but I’ve only found something similar once before, all the way up in Durham. If the quality stays consistent, this will be my go-to pizza spot from now on. My only minor criticism is that the dip pots are a little too small—one barely covers a slice—but at 75p a pot, I can let that slide. Congratulations, Basebox, on beating the odds.”

“Great food, great staff, great service. Our offices are based close by and we have been going to White Rose ever since they opened. Despite there being a number of alternatives locally, they are in our opinion by far the best in the area. (They also do consistently good jacket potatoes and catering for our staff and client meetings).”

“Jem’s Pit Stop, and Batley, West Yorkshire is an American themed diner. We were driving to Birstall and thought to stop for a a bite in the afternoon and when we were read the tweets but reviews we didn't believe there is place like this in Batley so decided to try it and we weren't disappointed but glad to see it. Look at the photos that will explain it. It took us a long time to explore the place and see the motorbikes and hidden treasures of the place. Then we headed to our table to eat and that was good a very good menu plenty varieties for different diets and people of all ages. The staff, service and quality of food all great.”
