“I recently had the pleasure of trying Mad Cook and was absolutely blown away! The food is genuinely amazing. The standout item was definitely the Macon Smash—it was truly fantastic. The flavors and execution were perfect, making it a must-try for anyone visiting. Their tenders were also superb; perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy. To top it all off, the loaded chips were an incredible treat. The star of the show on the side was the cheese sauce, which was rich, creamy, and elevated the chips to a whole new level. If you are looking for top-tier food that delivers on flavor and quality, you need to check out Mad Cook. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!”

“Went to the Feel Good Quiz yesterday, not your usual quiz, so much fun! The host Sunny was amazing, great crowdwork getting everyone involved, loved the first music round, excellent start to get everyone into the quiz and format! Really great atmosphere, everybody was having a blast! A special shout out to the bar staff Scarlett and Bernard who were going around and making sure everyone had a drink on hand or anything else they needed! Will definitely be coming back for this next week!”

After the first visit, we’ve been back several times (and there will be more in the future for sure) and every single time, we are impressed, satisfied and happy with the food. We diversify the dishes: noodles, BBQ meat, rice dishes. Everything is huge and tasty. ————————— Previous comment: We had dim sum as dinner there. The quality differs immensely from dish to dish. The turnip cake was fantastic, seriously! And it arrived first so we expected that the following dishes would be the same, but sadly they weren’t. I think the steamed dishes were ok, but the deep fried dumplings were too small. The worst was the rib. It took so long to arrive that we had to ask if they forgot it. When it arrived, we knew immediately that it was frozen and thawed. It smelled bad too. Don’t order this one.”

“Went for lunch after Christmas shopping with my best friend. Ordered food and drinks, my favourite chicken quesadilla, sautéed king prawns and sweet potato fries, warm chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert. 2 lovely guys served us. Service is always good, food is always great, love coming to Las Iguanas.”

“Ladies, fellas, everyone... get down here and check out the amazing live Indian music, particularly on a Saturday night! Never experienced anything like it before and I've been to a fair few indian pub nights including many visits here. We had some food before in the pub area and then went down to the restaurant side to enjoy some great music and everyone was dancing their socks off!! Good old Leicester huh... Great food, great local! Only downsides are maybe the loos and they never have any "crispy bhajiya" in!! Sort it out!”

“Amazing service from the time i entered to when i left, always there to get you anything you needed but never felt like they were lingering and not once did they disturb the conversation, brilliant! The food itself was very good and really felt like what italian should be and for the high quality the price is more than reasonable.”

“Xmas meal group booking on 10th December at the Friary .The booking was for 23 people who are not easily pleased !!!! The whole experience from start to finish was great . The standard of the meal &service provided by everyone was excellent especially under the challenging circumstances as it was the day of the world cup quarter finals . All of our party said it was the best meal we had eaten and that goes back many ye The table decorations and the reserved area of dining surpassed our expectations . The whole of the team were great from waiting staff to bar staff and not forgetting the kitchen staff behind the scenes .They were all very professional ,friendly and good ambassadors for your venue . “Tried the Moroccan breakfast at Casablanca Café and it was absolutely delicious. The eggs cooked in olive oil and the hashbrowns were especially tasty, and everything on the plate was fresh and full of flavour. It came with Moroccan tea, which was a lovely touch, and I also had a flat white—one of the best coffees I’ve had recently. The place is very clean, with a great atmosphere. I even managed to take a few work calls while I was there, so it’s perfect if you need a spot to relax or get things done. There’s a great variety on the menu, and I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes.”

“No doubt must visiting place if u like quality beer. Super welcoming & attentive staff. So friendly n lovely atmosphere. Great choice of beers, ales, cider etc. Very friendly customers happy to socialise if travelling solo. The fresh cheese & onion cobs are full of flavour. Definitely a pub to go to if ur in Leicester.”

“I really enjoyed our meal at LaTorre, I went with my partner to celebrate my retirement. The food was great and staff very friendly and pleasant. We went early on Halloween, so the restaurant was not busy unfortunately. But we had a lovely time.”

“Overall it is a great restaurant with great food quality & taste and excellent customer service. The Salmon was excellent. It tasted amazing with the potatoes and brocoli. The Chocolate and Truffle Torte tasted great, it had a nice and thick chocolate texture. The only thing I didn't like was the sauce underneath it.”

Mobility issue with one guest was immediately spotted and we were moved to a different table without having to ask. Team were attentive but didn't rush us. Menu offered good choices for everyone. Vegetarian options were a little limited but still plenty of choice. Food was tasty and good size portions.”

It's right here thanks to Mollie, one of the few chefs who understand what rare is and how to achieve it to perfection! Perfectly rendering fat while keeping the meat rare is a skill few chefs ever achieve, Mollie is one of the few! The fact she is creating heaven for diners with extremely high quality meat cannot detract from her skills. A chef who knows her temperatures is worth their weight in gold! Anyone can ruin even the highest quality. Absolutely thrilled! Superb venue with lots of different seating options, intimate and sociable. Brilliant decor, very tasteful with theme that is varied but makes sense throughout the venue. Ales kept very well, staff who are professional, friendly and most importantly attentive without being invasive. Immaculately clean, ample parking, brilliant something for everyone menu, very reasonably priced, almost under priced. Absolutely fantastic venue for large parties or something more intimate. Well done to a brilliant team and especially Mollie who is producing steaks that would not look, or taste, out of place in a Michelin star restaurant!”

“THE BEST Chinese food I’ve ever eaten! Perfect portions , lots of small plates so great for sharing. I only took one picture of 2 plates but we ordered lots more , I was so excited to eat the food , it tasted delicious will definitely be back and I reccomend the prawn balls the most and the butterfly panko prawns in this photo! Lovely mocktail too!”
