“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I cannot recommend Dr Alexandra Atherton and her dental nurse Stacey highly enough. I had a tooth that needed extracting for several years, but I’ve always been extremely anxious about going to the dentist. Several other dentists at different practices had told me the extraction would require a specialist procedure, which only made me more nervous about getting it done. When I finally saw Dr Atherton, she was calm, reassuring, and explained everything clearly. The tooth was removed so smoothly that I honestly didn’t even realise it had been taken out — it was completely pain-free and far less stressful than I ever imagined. A while later, Dr Atherton also completed composite bonding on several of my teeth in preparation for my wedding, and the results were fantastic. My teeth have never looked better, my oral hygiene has improved hugely, and I’ve finally regained my confidence in attending regular dental checkups. For anyone who feels anxious or fearful about seeing the dentist, I genuinely encourage you to book with Dr Atherton. She has completely changed my perception of dental visits, and I can say with confidence that you’ll be in the best possible hands. “My appointment was very quick and efficient. I booked a time slot on Sunday morning and arrived right on time for emergency care. The kind dentist quickly identified the problem, gave me a diagnosis, prescribed antibiotics, and that was it! I only paid for the emergency visit, so I’m not sure about the regular prices, but the staff were all very nice and professional. Unfortunately, I’ll have to visit my regular dentist tomorrow to say a sad goodbye to my tooth!”

“I've been going to 183 Dental for years now. I'm a really anxious patient. I fidget a lot due to neck pain and I hate needles!! Both David and Emma have been extremely calming and reassuring throughout any treatment that I've had from either of them. My most recent visit was for a check-up with Emma and she was just as amazing as always. She was very attentive, frequently checking in to make sure I was comfortable, especially with my neck. I've had a bad experience with being given anaesthetic in the past (not @ 183!!), but David really took the time to walk me through the procedure while numbing my mouth, making sure I felt no pain whatsoever. The atmosphere in the waiting room and the surgeries is always quiet and tranquil, which really helps ease any nerves if you're a nervous patient. The staff are friendly, which adds to the overall sense of comfort. I highly recommend this practice to anyone.”

As it happened they had a cancellation so offered to do the deep clean there and then saving me having to come back another time. Throughout it all they were both very helpful, patient and informative. My daughter also had an appointment for a check up and due to past issues with another dentist was very anxious but they both were brilliant with her and it has changed her feelings towards going to dentist. Also the receptionist, unfortunately I didn't catch her name but she was lovely. She was very friendly and welcoming. I've been going to this dentist for a long time and they were all new staff to me, all three are a credit to this practice.”
