“This is officially my favourite for when I'm parked up in widnes for work. Ordered least 3 times and thought, give a shout out whilst annoying a co-worker of what's for dinner. I'm not sure if justeat is having technical issues, but this is the second time they haven't alerted me on the update on the order (separate restaurant). But this time, the chap who delivered the food surprised me when he turned up unexpectedly and early none the less. Chips were fresh, hot, and had flavour. Salt pepper chicken is crispy but soft. It's not extremely spicy either. Not big fan on spice, but this is done perfectly. The chicken wrap was the win. Enjoyed and will return.”

“Had a great visit here. Food was really nice, served hot, tasted great and was good value for money. Nice drinks selection and not overly priced like a lot of places. The service made our visit though. Charlotte our waitress was fantastic. She was happy, smiley, polite and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. She even came back after we had our meals to ensure everything was OK. The restaurant was busy and she was running round all over the place ( a great employee, just what a busy pub needs). Look forward to our next visit.”

“We loved every single moment . The staff made christmas delightful without the stresses of cooking and dishes . It was our 1st time eating out on christmas day and will for sure 100% be back next year ! We didn't have any issues, though, a few comments to be made regarding choices for the gluten-free menu, which I have raised already with GK, though it didn't dampen our days . The 0% was a delightful treat, and we were so glad we felt like we were 100% enjoying the christmas spirits . All snr staff were happy and delightful as always . Id 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone and especially if you're thinking of eating out christmas day !”

“We had our staff team meal last week and have been to the New Albion several times since it has changed management. We’ve had various meals, particularly enjoying the lamb, steak, loaded fries and chicken feast. This has been the place my family have been going for years, back to the original Albion days. It took a serious dip as the Cook House but since Stephen & Jake have taken over, it’s regained its atmosphere and charm. I approached Stephen about supporting Halton Cancer Support, a local charity and he was very eager to get involved. He sought opinion and support from the public and began to create a relationship with our work, supporting our annual 5K event. They couldn’t do enough to help and support us. They elevated our event, extending it into the evening, attracting new supporters for our charity and new customers in their lovely pub. We’ve enjoyed great food and drinks every time we’ve been. This has lead to me booking for a party of 18 near to Christmas and my family are booked in for Christmas Day lunch. I don’t think we would have engaged as a charity or returned as a family without the warmth and friendliness of Stephen, Jake, and their team. Thank you for bringing some joy back to an old Widnes favourite, and for bringing it back to life with your own added sparkle.”
